The first time I battled I was like, "What moves does my pokemon have? Water gun? Water pledge?" Turns out only attack and special attack were available and I got disappointed. I think we should have the moves a pokemon usually learn like a Ponyata should learn Flame charge at level 19 and learn new moves as it levels up. You should also get a notification when your pokemon can learn new moves. Other players won't know what moves your pokemon have.

OMG this has being suggested and rejected a bunch of times!! If you checked the rejected section you would find the same suggestion.

There are plenty of battle simulators on the web - or just play the original games if you feel like battling with moves
