The Pelipper post office
Forum-Index → Suggestions → The Pelipper post officepsst, check out this thread, too, -Azzie- has a wonderful suggestion up, that involves rumble missions & being able to have your pokemon battle with you whiles they're rumbling!
If there was one thing I absolutely adored doing, whiles playing the pokemon mystery dungeon games; was doing the missions you got daily from the post office.
So; I figure, why not try to implement that concept here?
- I figure, it'd have the same mechanics as the rumble missions. You send x pokemon for x amount of time, to a certain area, where a certain task has been requested, to retrieve a pokemon from a dangerous situation, or retrieve an item.
- Access to the Pelipper post office could be through the "emera mail" icon, if implemented from SilverLugia456's suggestion (posted at top of thread )
If not, it could be accessed through "town" and placed under rumble missions, or somewhere along there.
Same as in game, and also easy to follow.
Client: This could be any pokemon, or heck, even, if the mod wanted to, could have it so emera-town people/pokemon could be the clients.
objective: The item, and/or Pokemon you're required to find within a certain amount of time.
Place: Here is a list of all the dungeons from the mystery dungeon series ; I figure, as far as artwork goes, they could be cropped out images like the rumble missions.
As for floor levels, it could be on a time-basis, as well. each floor level could be 5 minutes long, and depending on what difficulty the mission is, time could be added on that way, too.
Difficulty: How difficult it would be for a pokemon to complete said mission, obv, easy, normal, hard, difficult; kinda thing.
Reward: it could be a number of things, depending on the difficulty level of the mission itself.
Rewards could range from 100pd, to berries, gems, nuggets, and much more.
Wonder mail: If added on; it could be an option to give out a randomly generated code, to a user, to assist your pokemon in the mission it's currently in, if you can't happen to beat it, etc.
Reward for said user helping you, could most likely be a select amount of berries/PD, kinda thing.
Adding on;
mission time: It could be a set amount of time that your pokemon goes out on a mission.
Easy missions 10 minutes to an hour
normal missions an hour to three hours
hard missions 4+ hours
Difficult missions a day or more
- Like rumble missions, a certain amount of pokemon can be sent in; as well.
- First, you'd start off with one Pokemon, and as that pokemon got stronger, you could recruit other pokemon you already own, to join your mission as well.
-Each pokemon would start out at level 1, and slowly increase their levels the more often they go into missions.
The pokemon you send in, retains the level it came out with, and if abandoned, traded away, auctioned away, it would lose the levels it obtained in the missions.
your Pokemon retains the moves it's learned on-site, and those moves can be used to your advantage, depending on which area you go to.
typing chart, here
If you fail the mission, you're allowed to embark on it again, but only after a certain amount of time has gone by, a "cool down" period, so to speak.
If you fail, you'd also lose all the items you've collected whiles in the dungeon, like you would in-game.
Going off of what Diana suggested, using your pokemon to do battles would be much more beneficial, when you think about it.
Instead of having pokemon randomly lose/win, like the rumble missions are right now (with the terra/sky map, with kyogre/groudon etc) you could have it so that at the end of each floor level; your team goes up against a randomly generated npc pokemon, or bosses, from this site, if it's one boss at the end of the floor.
They'd obviously be area-specific, and bosses would of course get harder the higher level your pokemon is/dungeon you're on.
Bosses could hold small rewards, as well, on top of finishing the mission for said person.
Something as small as 1-2k PD, berries, etc.
Losing would work the same way it'd work as suggested above, if you lose at a boss battle, you lose whatever you've collected so far from the floor, and would need to wait for the cool-down period to be over before you embark on it again.
All mystery dungeon item sprites are here, along with what they do
This could add in SO many more items on Pokeheroes.
Obviously, not every item should be added, because that'd just be a buttload of coding and crap.
BUT.
whichever items are added in, could be sold in the emera shop, under a new tab, called "missions". or, it could alternatively be under misc.items, as well.
Beginner items would be found in here, such as trap balls, gummies, etc, that could be equipped to your team (or even, in a small sachet that can hold 5-10 items,) that would assist you on your mission.
Rarer items, like HM moves, to explore different areas, could only be obtained as A) Special rewards from site activities, or B) found rarely in the area the pokemon is exploring.

I think this would be pretty neat to see!
I don't use the VS seeker, at all, so if theres someone out there who does use it a lot, and knows how the battling on here works a little more in-depth, i'd love to see add-ons to this suggestion, too!

Oh jeesus, I let this thread die for way too long, lol, but as I see it, I'd think this would be a pretty unique idea, since no other poke-adoptable site I know of has a feature like this. (unless there has been some up and about' lately?)
In my eyes, I see this as a great opportunity to bring in a new feature, that would/could attract the attention of possible new members down the road.
Anyways, I figured i'd bump this up again, so we can get some new input on what some of the newer players might think, since this thread hasn't seen the light of day in well over 8 months.
If, for whatever reason, y'all (mods) deem this thread unnecessary, please close it down :)
(I still wholeheartedly support Silverlugias' suggestion, in her own thread (link posted at top of page) as well!)
