Her green gaze turned to White-fang, studying his coat of beautiful, shaggy white fur in a way she'd never looked at it before. This time his pelt didn't shimmer in the golden light as Echo always saw it; White-fang's fur seemed plain and it only reminded Echo of snow. Quickly she released the tension in her eyes, her spine seeming to stiffen.

his gaze looked worried as he nudged her cheek with his nose.
white-fang heard a couple of the other he-wolves muttering something and his head snapped around to them as he barked at them to shut up, both of their muzzles clamping shut.
he growled slightly and sat down, glaring at them for only a moment more and looked back at echo, using his paw to poke her nose.
''earth to echo, you alright?'' he asked again.

''good.. cause you kinda worried me for a moment'' he said.
his left ear twitched as he heard the same two he-wolves say something and he snapped at them to shut up once again, ear's pinned back and teeth bared as he growled.
too this day white-fang's been more paranoid by every little sound of his pack friend's saying something ever sense he had been attacked by blade, causing his senses to be a bit bugged up.
he slowly calmed back down and his hackles lowered, the growling quieting to a slight whimper.
"Blade." Ivy said quietly from behind them. Echo looked up at the fragile-seeming she-wolf who was quite the skilled fighter. "How can you be sure?" Storm said, his voice cracked. "Because it's only something he would do. Storm, it breaks my heart to tell you this... but your pups are as good as dead by now." Ivy said, still quietly.

''a he-wolf harming a she-wolf and her innocent pup's... rogue wolves like that sicken's me....! and that he-wolf about killed me when i was still a trainee'' he growled.
scar came bounding over, panting like crazy.
''so what's the plan?'' he asked storm, as if he had heard what he had said from where scar had been.
How could he not be focused enough when the sake of his pack was at risk? Storm turned to Scar. "I-i... I'm so sorry... I've failed you all... I can't think of anything. Scar, your in charge of this problem... I'm so truly sorry... I need time to clear my head." Storm said shrilly, and bounded out of the camp as fast as his mind was thinking thoughts.

''the alpha has left me in charge, i need a few good fighting wolves who are willing to come with me to investigate what's going on please speak up now'' he announced, his posture straight and head held high.
''i'll go'' white-fang barked looking up at scar.
''and me'' steel said, walking over and sitting down next to white-fang.

''i'm pretty sure this wolf is more of a loner.... even if he had a pack before, he still somehow managed to cheat death when amber and pearl fought him... we'll just go see if lily is still alive as well as their pup's we'll bring them back, but otherwise we need to make sure their alright.. and get storm to chill out......'' scar whispered back to echo.
he looked back over the pack and gave a curt nod.
''everyone else, protect the pack and the pup and trainee den's with their live's, just until alpha and us return'' he said and bounded out of the camp, steel and white-fang bounding after scar.
From there on, they followed Ivy in silence. Echo listened to what sounds he could focus on, the paw steps of the wolves, the faraway chirps of the birds, and the rustle through the long talks of grass that reached up to her knees. Eventually, when all of the pack wolves where out of the area they recognized, Ivy stopped at a boulder which covered all but trees. Echo glanced at her, the black wolf's gaze tinted in a bit of wonder, lacking trust or approval.
"There's a grotto behind here." Ivy muttered very, very quietly to the group. Echo barely heard this. She slipped through a crack that was surprisingly larger than it seemed, and was soon followed by Steel. Hesitantly, Echo crept to her knees and slipped through the crack. Steel carelessly stepped on a stick, and Ivy's paw swatted his ear harshly. She glared at him in that disapproving mother way, and he didn't reply.
Echo glanced around to see a forest of spruce trees, and dens of leaves at the bottom of the larger trees that formed a circle. There was a large boulder in the middle of the camp, and from the distance a pond with lily pads and a cave. Facing the other way, on the top of the boulder and on his stomach, was the familiar black he-wolf.

''i don't see any other wolves around....'' he whispered to echo.
steel was still glancing around, keeping his attention on the den's.
''and i don't see lily or the pup's...'' steel added quietly.
white-fang sighed and kept hid eye's out around the, making sure no other wolves snuck up on them.
''so... how do you know blade....? he asked quiey, keeping his voice low.
