Chloe adjusted the pokeballs on her bag before leading the way to sprout tower. "When do you think?" She asked, tappin the egg case lightly.

A large, bizarre snake that appeared to be made of diamonds floated around, and then dove straight through the floor. "That was weird," Yuki noted.

Locke nodded, wishing she had had her camera out when it appeared. She took it out and placed the saftey string around her wrist so she wouldnt drop it as they moved on.

(Its like the thing on wii remotes that most children obnoxiously chew on)

"For a place at which we're supposed to train," Yuki noted, "there aren't many Pokémon to battle here..."
The instant he said that, the diamond snake from before shot up through the floor - which, like before, remained undamaged. Passing through solid objects was a trait of Ghost-type Pokémon, so Yuki assumed that this must be one. It hissed, and released several white rings of energy from around itself; when they hit Suihou and Pyre, they exploded into shards of sharp diamonds, which faded away after a moment, but not before cutting both Suihou and Pyre.
"Suihou! Are you okay?!" Yuki yelped. Suihou turned back and nodded, as if to say I barely felt that! "Hmm... It might be an Ice-type move, then." He glanced at his Pokédex.

"What a bizarre move," he said. "Suihou, use Bite! I think that thing is part Ghost!" Suihou's fangs were cloaked in shadowy energy, and he chomped down on the serpentine Pokémon. The result was that Suihou's teeth hurt. "Suihou! Are you okay?!" Suihou nodded back, but appeared to not want to use any biting moves for a while. "Okay... Well, apparently it isn't Ghost... I wish that the Pokédex gave information on Pokémon before we caught them like it does there moves..."

(Please tell me they didn't use the Pokédex to scan a Pokémon before they caught it earlier on. .-.
Also, it is Ice/Dragon.)

Pyre hissed at the serpentine pokemon, hopping off of the egg case. "Ember" Chloe said, taking several pictures of the strange pokemon.

"Bubble!" Yuki commanded. Ember and Bubble hit the snake Pokémon, which Yuki really couldn't recognize for some reason. The snake Pokémon seemed mostly fine, surprisingly. "Why are our attacks hardly doing a thi-!? Suihou!! Are you alright?" Ferris asked, shocked when he saw that part of Suihou's Bubble had hurt him when it hit his reflection on the diamond snake, which was now like a mirror. Was that the Ability change the Pokédex had mentioned?

Chloe let out a hiss as Pyre's ember was reflected back. "Try tackle" She said, "Weak spots?" She added after a second.

Suddenly, Suihou's claws extended and glowed silver, as did all of his spots. He was coated in a similarly mirrorlike substance, and leapt forward, clawing at the Groodiam. "Suihou, you learned Metal Claw!!" Yuki congratulated. The supereffective move brought Groodiam's health to about half from where it had stood at a little over three fourths. "Gosh, this thing has high defense! Suihou, if you can use that again, that would be amazing! It didn't seem to reflect it, either!"

Suihou's second Metal Claw got the serpent to extremely low health. "Chloe, should I finish it, or should one of us try to catch it?"

Yuki nodded, then threw a PokéBall at it. It jiggled once... and twice... and- "Darn it!" Yuki cried as it broke out in a burst of light. It dove towards the floor, and was about halfway through when Yuki threw a second PokéBall. It jiggled once... and twice... and a third time... and a flurry of sparkles surrounded it as it clicked! "Yes! I caught a... um..." Yuki checked his Pokédex.

#019 / Groodiam
Dragon/Ice
Groodiam's Ability is Clear Body, and it is classified as the Diamond Pokémon.
If its Ability changes to Mirror Scale when it uses Prismburst, it will gain a mirrorlike coating, and any attacks that hit it will also harm the Pokémon reflected on it.

"Yes! I caught a Groodiam!" Yuki exclaimed excitedly.
