So, if you want to give gems to somebody, there may be someone else that takes the gems.

This is easier so if you want to give lets say about ten grass gems, you won't have anybody to go and take them from somebody else.

An solution:

The person who is giving the gems does NOT set up the trade.

If you want to give someone 10 Grass Gems tell THEM to set up a trade such as 1 water for 10 grass, or any one gem. No person would really accept that, unless it was part of an agreement prior.

If you saw someone wanting 50 grass gems for their 1 water gem you probably wouldn't accept it.

So. Have the person receiving the gems set up the trade. Simple as that.

And anything less than 10, say 3 for 4 gems, that's what the Global Trade Station is for. Give three Pokemon three gems and trade them off.
