"You know, he doesn't use illusions when he's fighting Bane, and he wins anyway," Ryu shouted after him. He then decided not to talk to Zaz if they met again, because he didn't like the Ditto Gijinka.
As if whatever was controlling them had been distracted by their conversation, the roots weren't moving; however, they began to move again, and Ryu was hit in the face with one. "OW! Can we PLEASE go find whatever is causing th-OWWWW!"

(They're in a snowy forest trying to reach the beacon in the center to win. False beacons are set up by Ghost-types, so they have to be careful. Partners start on opposite sides of the forest, but most of them will try to find each other and reach the beacon together rather than reaching it independently of one another. Ryu and Rythim are partners. Bane and Grima are partners. There is an Articuno Gijinka named Nix; he is not participating, but was hired to fight the participants alongside his real Articuno to make the challenge harder. There is a Trevenant that is controlling the plants to attack participants, and it also enjoys eavesdropping to the point where it stops attacking if there is a conversation going on. Ryu and Rythim are running from the plants after conversing with Zaz the Hoopa Ditto and almost being taken to Distortion World; Bane is resting on a tree branch while Grima goes and creates illusions to freak out the other participants. There; you're caught up on the current challenge! ^^)
Grima thought he heard whispering, so he went to investigate and see if it was someone he could use his Illusion on.

Okin wandered around looking for his partner."Oh come on." He thought to himself," Don't tell me my partner has already been knocked out." But since that had never stopped him before he went on. He wandered on seeing something in the distance. A cold aura was emanating from it. "Do I dare go closer?" He wondered.

Bane looked up at the whispers. She sat up on the branch and looked around. Not seeing anyone, she leaned against the tree and kept watch.

(Hey Locke look, capitalization! I finally mastered it.)\r\n\r\nNick hid behind a rock as the coldness increased. "What is it?" He thought as he stole a peak around. It was Nix looking around. Luckily he was looking in a different direction.

Grima heard more whispering and thought he heard something about "partner" and "weakling." He immediately made sure he was invisible and caused Zaz to see a pale, ghostlike human approaching him. Grima was prepared to make the Ditto think he was being dragged into the ground, but wasn't going to do it yet.

Okin felt the coldness grow nearer. He contemplated if he should run or stand and fight. He looked at possible escape options and sneaked by bushes that led towards a gnarled old tree.

(How does Reaper know that Grima is there? How did Zaz know Grima was there and that Reaper wasn't just standing around?)

(reaper is a part of the distortion world, so some rules dont apply too him, like girtina saw dialga and palkia fighting in a entirely diffrent demision. however you are right so reaper is looking for grima)
