Gijinkas
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Pokémon RP → GijinkasGrima woke up in a room at which he definitely didn't fall asleep. He couldn't make out his surroundings, because he was dizzy and everything was blurry. He wasn't sure how he got there, but he knew that whoever brought him there hadn't been very gentle.
"You stole my Dread Plate," a voice said from the shadows. "I want it back."
Grima was thoroughly confused. "Why are you in the shadows?" he asked. "I'm too dizzy to see anyway... Also, I don't know what you're talking about..."
"You have to have it. You're the only being to have been near it in the last week, and I haven't seen it since."
"Go check wherever you last saw it..." Grima said. He then used illusion to pretend that he was still lying on the floor, but put the Dread Plate back onto the table in reality. He hadn't been able to figure out how to use it anyway, so he might as well return it. While the person still wasn't looking at it, he made it appear fully. "I don't know why you think I stole it," he said when he returned, though he appeared to have been there the whole time.
"How?" the person said, picking the plate up off the table. "How did you do that?"
"Do what?" Grima asked. "I didn't do anything. Are you sure you didn't just miss it when you looked for it? It is made of glass, so you could have seen the empty table through it."
"Fine; I have what I want. You may leave," the being said, opening the door to allow Grima to leave.
"O-okay, then," Grima said confusedly before leaving.
(If you have not figured it out yet, Grima is an evil thief and he did, in fact, steal the Dread Plate, but he returned it partly because he didn't need it and partly for another, secret reason.)
"Bane, there appears to be a sign detailing today's special rules," Grima noted. The sign read:
Today's challenge is different from most.
It will take place in a forest on the outskirts of the city; to ensure that all participants arrive on time, registration will close one hour prior to the challenge, providing ample time to reach the forest.
The rules are as follows:
To win, both members of a team must reach the beacon at the center of the forest.
To make the challenge more difficult, both partners start on opposite sides of the forest; whether they find each other first or try to win by arriving at the beacon independently of one another is up to them. Furthermore, various Ghost-type Pokémon in the forest will be creating false beacons to lure the participants away from the real one.
Finally, we have hired a certain Gijinka and his partner Pokémon to battle the participants along the way, making it difficult to stay conscious long enough to reach the end. Be wary when traveling through the forest, lest this powerful Gijinka prevent you from reaching the end.
Please note that the forest is several miles long, and navigating it is no easy task given how mazelike it is. Be careful, don't get lost, and, as always, no killing is allowed.
"This sounds fun," Grima noted. "Shall we enter as partners?"
(Note that Grima has not stolen anything in the past few months. He is trying to avoid being evil for the same secret reason that he returned the Plate.)
"Should we begin to walk over to the forest now? It may take a while to get there, and registration is closing in a few minutes, meaning that we only have about an hour to arrive," Grima said. "Plus, it is cold out, and I'm not as good at moving quickly in the cold." He shivered.
"Okay! We should get going, since registration is closing soon and we might get there early," Ryu said.
