Within the confines of the castle which was renowned across the
lands as a magic school, there was the beloved school library,
where a few students were sitting, revising for their oncoming
exams.
Everything seemed peaceful, until one student waltzed in with a
note attached to their wand, which they were... holding in their
mouth. It seemed as if they were a rather new transfer, and had
come to the library with something other than books in their
mind.
They slowly walked over to the desk, idly picking up a leaflet and
flicking through its contents, seemingly troubled.
Vixie was sitting in the corner of the library the moment the
student walked in, unaware or uncaring of the new visitor. She
calmly flipped through the pages of an old tome, a simple,
leather-bound book. “So that’s how you do that…” She muttered to
herself, “Interesting. Very… Interesting…”
"What offering from the void could usurp the gift of life
already given? This place, right here! Is where we are meant to
be."
Another student walked in, silently scanning the room for their
friends… they weren’t there, but a different student they
remembered was, she walked over and sat down next to them.
“Is Vixie the name?” She hesitantly asked, seemingly slightly
Embarrassed for asking
“It... Is, why?” She asked, surprised that the student knew her
name so quickly. She was new here, after all. “What do you...
Want?” The girl asked nervously, placing the book back on the shelf
where she found it, carefully planning it out so that nobody would
see the title.
"What offering from the void could usurp the gift of life
already given? This place, right here! Is where we are meant to
be."
“Just… want to be friends, y’know?” She reached out her hand “my
name’s Ellie. If you notice I’m not here sometimes, I’m probably
sleeping.” She looks at her hand, nervous.
Into the library a taller figure entered. She wasn't a child by
any means, instead a Adult, her half braided black hair tied with a
green ribbon, and her few layers of black and green clothes and a
long with a emerald pendant with a golden 'S' on the shimmering
emerald. It was more than clear she was a Slytherin. Her dark and
gloomy presence was a little off putting, but it was almost obvious
she was a teacher. The woman approached a bookshelf and began
searching through the books.
The girl took a quick glance at the figure that just entered, still
doing her best to ignore the student holding a wand in his mouth.
She was excited to see another Slytherin. Her happiness didn’t last
for long before she burst out laughing at the wand-chewing kid,
however.
"What offering from the void could usurp the gift of life
already given? This place, right here! Is where we are meant to
be."
“I don’t see the reason why not. You’re… My first friend.” She said
in melancholy while still looking at the teacher who just entered
the library with curiosity.
"What offering from the void could usurp the gift of life
already given? This place, right here! Is where we are meant to
be."
“Ive been here for a while.” She smiled “can help you with spells
and stuff if you want” she looked out the window, thinking.
(“Okay, so at around 8:50 PM I will go meet up with Sky in the dark
forest…” )
“Do you know what time it is?” She asked, looking at her bag “I
forgot to pack my clock necklace” she looked through her bag,
spotting her necklace, The necklace was a compass, always pointing
south, no matter what. It wasn’t any normal compass, though… it had
a Pheonix rather than a normal pin and had a flame symbol at the
south point, she grabbed it and put it on.
“I wish I knew… But thank you for the assistance, I suppose. I’ll
talk to you when I need that.” Vixen said, staring intensely at the
teacher in hopes of getting acknowledged, maybe even getting her to
talk to her.
"What offering from the void could usurp the gift of life
already given? This place, right here! Is where we are meant to
be."
The student jumped and covered their ears at the obnoxiously loud
laugh.
"Ah, c-crikey... that hurt..."
They slowly turned to look at the student that emitted the dreadful
cackle with an irritated look, whilst also having a tinge of
confusion shaded onto their hazel eyes.
Carmen felt a gaze of a person. she stood up straight, fixing
her posture. she turned to face the person who was staring at her.
Carmen's bright Ruby eyes meant with Vix's. Carmen sighed, relief
fell over her face. Carmen's face looked exhuasted, but she smiled
at the student,"uhm, Hello there."
The girl walked up to Carmen in curiosity, now it being pretty
clear just how young she was. She must’ve barely got her letter and
didn’t seem to be enjoying the school too much by this point.
“Hello!”
"What offering from the void could usurp the gift of life
already given? This place, right here! Is where we are meant to
be."
Carmen continued smiling, unsure why this child had approached
her."is there anything i-i can help you with.?"the
slightest bit of nervousness could be heard under her breathe.
“You’re… Carmen, am I right? The teacher here?” She asked in
excitement, her green and silver tie clearly visible. “I’m so
excited for our lessons! It’s… My first day here.”
"What offering from the void could usurp the gift of life
already given? This place, right here! Is where we are meant to
be."
Carmen nodded,"Yes, that's me.. though most students
don't refer to me as Carmen"she rested one of her hands on
a bookshelf. she eyed the child's green tie, now she knew that the
child was a Slytherin."what's your name.?"
“Vixen Merope… Ashdown.” She said, adjusting her tie. “I was so
excited to meet you! What do you teach?” Vixie asked in curiosity,
her dark, brown eyes looking at Carmen with excitement. It was
pretty clear she was happy to meet another one of her house.

already given? This place, right here! Is where we are meant to
be."
The student decided to sit behind the desk, just out of the sight
of the other pupils. They twirled a strand of their long, brown
fluffy hair anxiously and sighed, presuming they had to wait until
the library had emptied out before they could do what they wanted
to.
His hand gently brushed against his wand (which was still in his
mouth), and he pulled a small notebook from his blazer pocket.
