Maebure perched himself on a tree branch, gazing out into the sky. The wind blew gently, slowly moving Maebure’s fur. His bleeding wing twitched, and for a second, he felt tranquility.

The Raboot jumped onto the branch and sat next to him, avoiding eye contact. Their expression was the usual emotionless one.

(“So, uh… what were we even going to do here?”)

“In all honesty, I don’t even remember.”

Tycho fabricated on Maebure’s head.

(“Hello Maebure… Hi N…”)

“Oh. Hey Tych.”

(”Found something for us to do, perchance?”)

Tycho blinked. Their gaze moved from Maebure to the ink incarnate and back.

(“I… guess so…! We can go to the borders of the camp and check if there’s any opposing threats!”)

“…The Shadows won’t attack us. We’re gonna be fine, Tych.”

The Raboot’s expression turned into a confused, mildly infuriated one.

(”Uh, no we won’t? We’re in the opposing camp, you imbecile. If they come here, we’re as dead as everyone else, doesn’t matter if we’re formers or not.”)

“You two are fine. It’s me who won’t be.”

(”…If you fall, we’ll fade away.”)

“…Huh.”

Tycho stared at the Raboot.

(“It’s fine. Let’s go to the border, anyways.”)

The Raboot rolled his eyes and shrugged before leaning backwards and falling off the tree. Tycho glanced at Maebure, seeming to have a happy expression now that the Raboot had gone.

(“Okay then, lets go!”)

The Seishin perched themselves next to Maebure’s wing. The Absol leapt off the tree and started walking east.

(Huh? How is a Liepard bigger than a Scolipede? Scolipede: Height 2.5 m (8′02″) Weight 200.5 kg (442.0 lbs)
Liepard: Height 1.1 m (3′07″) Weight 37.5 kg (82.7 lbs), It’s not physically possible [information taken from Pokémon Database])
Cedar decides to make a truce. He’s battled a lot, but this Liepard was hard. Worthy, even.

As Maebure walked across the camp's suburbs, he felt slightly relaxed. Knowing that the inhabitants here wouldn't dare to attack him or his two acquaintances filled him with a sense of confidence. It reminded him of the previous camp he and his 5 friends used to stay at before the incident. The camp where everyone knew his name, the camp where he knew everyone looked up to him, the camp where-

("Hey, Maebure...?")

He paused.

"S'up, Tych?"

("We're at the East Border.")

The Absol glanced to his left and looked up. The watchtower was beside him, basking in the light.

"...So we are."


A small patch of ink-like creep appeared beside the two. The Raboot jumped out of it and landed beside the spirit.

("...Hey.")

Cedar sighed, half surprised at what he had done. Besides, he had been known for his slippery escapes, disrupting the ratio of impossible escaping odds.
He wondered if there was anyone else at this seemingly deserted camp.
