Yagyu ran from the dragon pursuing her, doing everything she could
to block its path. She purposefully knocked down trees and set them
ablaze as obstacles for the dragon. She was still in human form,
just with her wings out. If she switched to her full form, she
wouldn’t be able to squeeze through the trees.
“No monster compares to me, son of jörmungandr. Me, son of a
god. Me, king of princeville” he roared, flames erupting from
him, and reducing every tree around them for a 50 meter radius to
ash
He roared, the strain of his vocal cords shaking the cave, before
he shot off, covered in blue flames, right at the chimera. He
roared, gazing into her soul
Yagyu kept running and flying, “Leave me the hell alone, you
wretched human” she yelled while jumping over a bluff and flying to
the other side. The forest terrain was in her favor, as she knew
the land well.
Yagyu avoided the acid sprayed by Nightmare and flew higher into
the air. “Were those years of torture not enough for you, scum?”
She hissed while gliding.
He closed his eyes “not a failure” he growled silently,
before sending out his giant blue fire tornado, the swirling mass
of death twisting and pulling, emanating heat as it rushed towards
Yagyu
Yagyu’s cheeks expanded like a balloon as she released a pillar of
flame from her mouth. It fought the tornado of flames and she flew
away from the other dragon. Coincidentally, she was heading back
towards Princeville, she hadn’t realized this from all the turns
she had to make.
He grinned, and shot acid into the tornado, which accepted both her
fire and his acid, becoming red, purple, and blue all fused into one
deadly disaster
Yagyu wasn’t concerned about the tornado, as fire wouldn’t affect
her as much as a normal creature. It was the acid she worried
about. This was not a good situation at all, she would be caught
soon. She weaves through the trees, not daring to look back. She
grew closer to the town, where she would be trapped if she didn’t
think of something soon.
"Okay, what the heck is going on?" Melody stood up and started
jogging towards the commotion. She stopped. "Okay, this is not
good." "MELODY!" someone called out. She whipped around to see Mr.
Stone, with his weird walk. "Mr. Stone?" "Melody, you can't. It's
not safe." "What do you-" "Melody! Just listen to me!" Melody's
face hardened. "No. I can go wherever I want to." She ran off in
the direction of the chaos, leaving Mr. Stone behind with a
helpless look on his face.
Just as Yagyu emerged from the forest, the acid from the tornado
had been flung off and hit her wings. They started to rapidly burn
and her flight was over. She descended as fast as a car going down
the highway and slammed into the street of Melody’s neighborhood.
She slid on the concrete and crashed through cars before slamming
into a car and stopping. Smoke rose from where she was and her body
laid still. It was almost a miracle, but she was just a few feet
away from slamming into Melody.
