Shadow heard footsteps walking away and after a minute climbed out
leading sliver and lissi “well he was stupid.” She sighed there was
no prey left at the moment
Ellie heard this and turned around. To his surprise, he saw hybrids
walking out of the cave. He decided to just leave them be and
continue, even if he hated hybrids.
“he’s a threat”shadow looked at the direction he had went in “i can
feel it.” Shadow sat down and thought of why she felt this way she
couldn’t explain it she just knew he would threaten their safety
“No duhh, he’s a hunter!” She told Shadow as she watched him walk
away. She noticed that he looked back at them before walking away,
wondering what he was doing.
Lissi could feel Shadow’s hatred. “Hey, calm down, he didn’t do
anything other than scare some animals away!” She whispered as she
kept glancing from Ellie to Shadow.
Silver goes over to Shadow and Lissi paying no mind to the hunter
but would have attacked if he tried anything. He was holding a bag
filled with gold coins. He had slipped away silently figuring out a
way to live without constant danger. He knew where to find them.
And would tell nobody except Lissi and Shadow where to find them.
In a vast cave in the deepest parts
"I know you're tired but look" He dumped the back of gold coins to
where she could easily see them. It took him about five minutes to
get them. It would have taken a normal human about a week to get
them. It was a deep cave. He knew every inch very well
He looked at them and played with them "I thought you'd wasn't a
life without danger. The three of us could be somewhere safe. We
could find a place with a den for Shadow and a good home foot us.
In the same spot. I've been working hard on mapping the cave where
I found them" He pulled out the map he drew out and showed it to
her
She carefully looked at the map, wondering how he managed to find
such a good spot. She honestly didn’t know what to say. She lightly
chuckled before turning a bit away from the map. “You know... I
always wanted to live a normal life... I knew that the woods were a
better option, but I chose to get a house, live close to the
city... I just wanted to be around something normal, not-“
she realized what she said, but it was too late.
He put his hand on hers and smiled slightly "I know. But you are
normal. Having powers am being the way we are is normal to us. You
will have whatever you want. If it's what you want then I will do
it. Just name it and that's what it will be" He knew what she was
saying and feeling. He wanted to give her everything she wanted.
That's why he went to the cave and worked hard on mapping the area.
He had accidentally walked into it on the first week of being in
the forest. But it was moments before he carried her to Shadow's
den he thought of it
“You make everything sound so easy...” she mumbled, but she didn’t
look at him. She just continued to stare at the ground. “I guess
that’s what I’m trying to say... it’s easy the way you put
it. I guess... that’s not what I want.” She sighed and closed her
eyes. “I really appreciate it, but wouldn’t that make life boring?
Nothing to worry about, nothing to learn from?” She realized she
sounded like a philosopher or something, but she didn’t laugh at
herself like she usually did.
He looked at the coins and chuckled a bit. He thought for a minute
"It's not as easy as it sounds. I had to work hard to do all this.
I had to walk every inch of that cave. I replaced all the coins in
a hard to get but easy to find spot. I set a security team of
wolves, bats, and bears to watch over it. That was harder to tame
them and teach them to not attack you or Shadow when you went to
the cave. It was very hard. And I did learn a lot from doing all
that" He grabbed a coin and tossed it without thinking "Having
wealth means nothing to me. I'd rather spend all my days with my
best friend than have wealth. If it's something you want tell me
and I'll do it"
