Shadow waited for it to go away but the odd geko beast circled the
clearing her body was tence but luckily the thing couldn't climb
the scrawny tree she was in her sences told her to attack but she
knew better
Silver speed as he saw Shadow and the geko. He held Lissi tight
thinking. He came up with an idea to help. He knew how to use his
throat to mimic animal sounds. He made a mother geko sound making
it sound like it was far away hoping it would follow the sound
The gecko stared far to the north then shook its head glancing at
sliver shadow decided what to do if she couldn’t fight it head on
she could make it flee with her fire as most all animals feared
fire shadow slowly started to make a small fireball she had to aim
just right for this.
A gunshot could be heard through the woods, followed by some
rustling, as if something fell. “Got em...” Ellie lightly chuckled
as he picked up the dead squirrel from the ground.
A single minute had passed there was a gunshot in the distance but
shadow had to focus the fire ball was now the size of a basketball
shadow stared at the lizard and it stared back its body seemed to
want to kill her but it’s eyes begged to be killed shadow realized
something then she dropped the fireball onto the geckos head and it
screeched in pain shadow watched it burn as it wailed in pain
Lissi watched in shock at Shadow killing the lizard. She didn’t
feel much for the lizard, but she didn’t exactly like how Shadow
did that either. She looked in the direction of the gunshot but saw
nothing. Was there a hunter in the woods?
A flash of light caught Ellie’s eye as he turned to face it. He
could smell smoke too, so it was most likely a fire. He slowly
walked towards the source, careful not to be seen.
Shadow hated doing this but there was no time for sorrow or regret
she caught sent of someone coming near she climbed down and pulled
lissi and sliver into her den
Shadow closed off the den entrance her den was a long network of
tunnels with many hollowed out spaces and many entrances she walked
over to the space were she kept all the food and looked at what
they could eat it was empty they must’ve been pretty hungry
He saw nothing but char marks, probably from the fire he saw. He
looked at the cave and it was suddenly closed. His eyes narrowed as
he took a closer look at the cave.
Lissi nodded and looks led at the entrance and at Shadow. Who in
the world was that? Was that the cause of the gunshot?
He decided not to shoot, or so anything really, to the entrance and
wait to see what would happen. He would need to listen if he wanted
to know what was inside.
“I know you’re in there!” He yelled as he slammed his fist on the
entrance. He didn’t mean to sound threatening, he was just curious.
It could just be a homeless kid living in the woods. He almost shot
one because something like this happened.
Lissi jumped when he slammed on the entrance. She decided not to
say anything, as that could cost her.
Shadow stayed calm she watched lissi jump and hoped she would stay
quiet it was a person a male by the sound of their voice she waited
to see what he would do next
He backed away from the cave, waiting to see if something came out
of the cave. After a few seconds he sighed. He pointed his shotgun
into the air and shot it twice, trying to get their attention. Some
birds flew off and animals ran away, but nothing else happened
Shadow still waited they caused the gunshot she hated hunters who
did it with guns thanks for scaring all the prey she knew
that he didn’t hit anything or even fire near the entrance
