"Please tell me you're not going to spit nonsense at me for the rest of my life," Zigzag snapped, yet his hand came up to his throat again. He didn't like the way that sounded, and he was growing more distrust for Rebeka by the second. If I just ran now, would I survive? He thought to himself.

"Alright. U..Uhm do you prefer necklace or c..collars?" Roxanne asked.

"I may. I am a seer after all Zigzag." Rebeka replied with a small grin. "I wouldn't run as you would be torn apart and eaten by a group of ferals once you turn the second corner on your left. Now then, shall we continue home?" She held a pale blue hand out to him and blinked.

Zigzag stared at her hand for a moment. "I don't touch people," he said, as if it was completely obvious and it was insane for her to even offer. "And I'd rather be killed than owned." He looked up, or rather less down, and glared.

"Owned is an interesting word." Rebeka replied as she turned and continued walking. ""I do not see myself owning you even if by law I am. I see myself taking home a new friend. A companion. Yes I may ask you to do something like get us tea, you like tea correct, I see myself as your equal. Plus you could have went with someone far worse than me." As she said the last bit a halfbreed ran out of the alley way to their left only to be pulled back in with a tentacle. A loud scream came after that before being cut off. "Much, much worse than me."

"I don't want to be your friend," Zigzag replied. "I don't want to drink tea and read with you. It doesn't matter if you see me as an equal, because nobody else will. To strangers, I will always be your pet. I hate that." He fiddled with the edge of his sleeve, one of his many nervous habits. His fingers trembled ever so slightly. "A vicious master who wants to hurt me is better than one who wants to be my friend without knowing me."

Rebeka froze, her head bowed slightly. "Who says I do not wish to get to know you?" She questioned softly. "Also you'll be surprised at what your future will entail." She looked back over her shoulder at him, a small knowing smile resting on her face. "Come the library is just ahead."

"Even if I told you in that future you stood as my equal?" Rebeka mused as she stopped again in front of what looked to be a small cottage. She pulled out a key from her purse and unlocked the door.

Cat's eyes lit up when he asked her where she wanted to go, she grabbed his hand "I know the perrfect place to go!" she said, purring like a grown cat when she said 'perfect'.


"You might want to walk, I have pets that are very territorial when they see others in the sky near my home." Violet said to Sally as she went through a gate.

Zigzag stepped inside without another word. He dropped his sleeve and forced himself to stuff his hands in his pockets instead.

The inside was much, much bigger than the outside gave credit to. It was multiple stories that ran both high into the sky and low below ground. The feel about the place was almost homey. In the air was the scent of old books, scrolls, and oddly enough ylang-ylang. "Ah sorry about the ylang-ylang smell. I uh burn incents. It's not a bother, is it?" Rebeka asked.

Zigzag's nose twitched - sort of like a cat - but he shook his head. "I'll get used to it," he said, glancing around at everything. He liked the smell of books, he'd grown up around it, and one of his older sister's had burned insence often enough that he didn't mind, although lavender had gotten on his nerves.

As soon as Violet walked down a path through a makeshift rock forest, two large dragons flew above them seeming to be fighting, one breathing fire, the other breathing lightning. "Hiryū! Kōri! don't play so rough!" She called up, seeming to get the attention of not only the two dragons, who stopped breathing their respected elements, but a small dragon jumped onto her shoulder. This dragon didn't have wings, more floral and less dangerous looking. "Hello nightshade, you been keeping the others in check?"


"Yes- I mean... ok." Cat said as she led the way to the place she loved to eat.
