Rebeka pushed herself away from the top of the pit and made her way to the off chute where the masters were to pick up their halfbreeds. She looked around at the others and quietly chuckled. "So this is the majority of the group. Interesting." She whispered to herself before quietly whistling as she waited. There was no need to tell them of the circumstances to come. They would see soon enough.


Night shifted slightly before getting close to Leonidas as a feeling of dread settled in her stomach.


"I..I am glad to hear th..that. Uhm hope y..you don't mind water." Roxanne mused.

Val looked at her, the gentleness in his eyes completely gone. "Don't tell me how to control my slave, okay?" he said, his voice the same, but his gaze unblinking and unsettling. He turned back to Cat, back to normal once again. "There's no need to turn into a cheetah, though it is quite a pretty form. Fights brew often enough without looking for them," he added.

Zigzag approached his new master cautiously, face dark. He didn't know what she was like, and he didn't like it. Briefly, he considered trying to hold his tongue. He knew it wouldn't work, and gave to idea up quickly. Besides, it's not like he could keep everything inside twenty four seven for the rest of his life. She would see soon enough.

Cat purred and rubbed against Val's legs like a house cat, a large, spotted big cat acting like a house cat.

"cleaning and helping me feed my pets." Violet said, glaring at Val then walking away. "Come, it's better to get them to meet you sooner rather than later."

Sally nodded flying after her struggling a bit due to her chains. It was easy enough to fly in the air, it was just the swaying of her chain that threw her off. So far she was unable to break it.

Val laughed a little. He couldn't help it - he loved cats. He just wanted to bundle her up in his arms and snuggle, but he had to remember this was not Arion. She would probably not let him bury his face in her fluffy ears. He barely knew Cat, and he didn't want to make her uncomfortable. "You're not so mean, I think. Are you hungry?" he asked. He hadn't eaten breakfast in favor of sleeping.

Rebeka nodded to the handler that brought out Zigzag before looking at him. "Another puzzle piece. Only a few left before everything falls to pieces." She whispered quietly. "Do you like to read?"

"All right," Val said. He went to reach out and touch her, but backed away and headed off. He trusted his sense of direction well enough. "Follow me. Is there any specific place you like?"

"So, the whole 'yeah I live in an impressive ancient building' thing compensating for your lack of an interesting personality or is there another flaw I have to look out for?" Zigzag asked, making a slightly annoyed face.

"Neither. I just enjoy pointing out facts and reading." Rebeka mused. "The library will be useful soon enough. The pieces are falling into place. We will have to use everything at our disposal or anarchy will become our ruler. No halfbreed will survive then." She turned to look back at him with wide glowing, electric blue eyes and the runes on her chest rapidly changing before they slowed down and her eyes dulled. "We don't want that now do we?" She said as she tilted her head to the side innocently as if she didn't just spout off a prophecy.


"Aye. The library is our best bet." Night replied.
