Aki burst into laughter. "So I'd just be saying 'riolu' over and
over again?" He managed, still laughing.
"Dude, shut up." Flair rolled her eyes and elbowed Aki in the
stomach. The fighting type wheezed and dropped to the ground.
"Maybe you come from a different world?" She offered carefully.
"Aki, if you want to be helpful, pass me the maroon book."
"This one?"
"Yeah."
He passed the book over and Flair rifled through it. "There's a few
Pokémon that are able to create portals and cross between worlds.
It's fascinating." Her eyes gleamed with excitement. "It's part of
the reason I joined the guild. I want to be strong enough to
explore new worlds too. And--" She paused and closed the book.
"Guess dinners ready." She mused, standing. "C'mon." She smiled.
Chomp nodded and looked at Scorch, who looked even worse than when
he first arrived. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything about
being a human before. He thought to himself sharply, and looked
over when Chomp put his paw on his shoulder.
"Come on Scorch you'll feel a million times better after we eat."
He said cheerfully and pushed Scorch out of the room.
Scorch looked unconvinced but nodded and followed Chomp to the
kitchen.
Aki sprinted out of the room and into the dining room (or whatever
the room was called, he hadn't specifically cared enough to find
out), skidding to a halt to greet Spring with a cheerful nod.
Flair didn't follow right away. Instead, she hung behind and nudged
the book under her bed, carefully pushing it so nobody would feel
it or see it. She darted out after her partner with a sigh.
Chomp lead Scorch to a spot at he table. The Cyndaquil examined the
food with a sniff, and felt slightly hungry. "Thanks Spring this
looks great!" Chomp said cheerfully. Scorch just stayed quiet.
"Thanks Spring!" Aki smiled and took some food, darting to his
usual spot at the table. He began to eat, leaving Flair shaking her
head as she took some food and flipped open a book, multitasking as
best she could.
Chance sat next to Spring and nodded a greeting. Hino then stood up
"before we being eating I wish to welcome a new face to the guild.
Scorch can you please stand up?" Hino said kindly.
Scorch looked embarrassed he slowly got to his paws after some
encouragement from Chomp.
"Scorch here was found in the city earlier today, and while we're
not sure if he'll become a new mystery team member we hope he
enjoys his stay here" Hino said kindly but keeping out the part
where Scorch might be human..
Flair and Aki exchanged a look that both of them had grown used to
giving each other at this point. Clearly sOMEONE doesn't like
Crona tonight. Or ever, when it comes to food. Flair snorted
and closed her book to start eating. Aki followed in suit.
At some point, Bo had crept up from where she'd been sitting to
join the others at the table. She nodded a kind greeting to Spring
before taking her seat with a yawn. Aki waved to her, and she waved
back.
"So I started reading this book, and it was about different moves I
could possibly learn, and--" Flair started, eyes bright.
Aki rolled his eyes as he swallowed a mouthful of food. "Is this
gonna be another one of your weird rants about how you should be
able to learn moves sooner?"
Flair's eyes flashed. "Yes! Why do I have to be level 15 to learn
fury swipes? Why not level 13? Or 14? It's stupid."
