Scorch walked through the cave floor with the bag slung over his shoulder. He followed Chomp silently and looked for the staircase. He saw a squirtle run towards them. "Be ready to battle" Chomp warned gently. He was hit by a bite.

Scorch blinked and ran at Squirtle with an aerial Ace. The Pokémon was knocked back, and ran off in defeat. "Ha got him" Scorch said cheerfully and chomp laughed.

"Nice job hey I see the staircase!" Chomp said cheerfully and ran forward.

Aki and Flair both nodded happily and Aki took the lead, shoving the paper into his bag to sprint out of the guild.

Flair rolled her eyes and trailed after the Riolu, shaking her head.

Uki flew after Flair and Aki into the dungeon. "A Drowzee shouldn't be so bad! I know dark pulse!" Uki said. "Do any of you know dark or bug moves?" Uki asked (gtg for a while, Texas Roadhouse)

(everyone is choosing their own missions we just did a time skip)

Scorch walked into the next floor and looked around. The air was colder here due to the small river that ran through the side of the paths. "You might want to watch your step the water can be deep" Chomp warned and ran ahead. Something seemed familiar about cave to Scorch.

Both Flair and Aki shook their heads.

"We're both still kinda low-leveled." Aki explained with a disappointed sigh. He brightened quickly. "But that should change soon! We just have to do a lot of missions! Hey Flair, do you plan on evolving?"

Flair brightened slightly. "Yeah! If I can. It would be helpful to evolve, I'll be able to learn new moves!"

Scorch nodded and continued through the cave. He ran ahead with Chomp following him. "Hope that Poliwag is alright" Scorch said with a yawn. Chomp nodded and continued onwards they were about to reach the next floor when something ran past.

"What was that?" Chomp said with a whisper. Scorch looked around quickly and tried to find out what ran past.

"Okay.. The Drowzee should be on floor five." Aki mused, looking at the paper. They were back in the forest again, and Flair was having a field day against all the grass types nearby.

Flair turned her head slightly and nodded. "Okay. Let's run for the, then." She suggested, launching off another Ember to scare away a few grass types.

Scorch looked uncertain. He then grabbed Chomp's paw as he felt uneasy by the strange presence. "Come on poliwag needs up" Scorch said quietly and ran for the staircase.

"I went up a level!" Flair called confidently, launching another ember off. It hit a Metapod, which keeled over and fainted. "Find the staircase yet?"

"Over here!" Aki called, waving his paw. Flair sprinted over, and the two charged up, tumbling into the next floor. Flair was back on her paws first, launching yet another ember off.

Scorch let go of Chomp's paw and ran onto the third floor. The cave got darker as they went on. "Let me." Scorch mumbled and lit his back flames to light the way. "We need to keep going." He said quietly.

Chomp nodded and stood by him. The strange thing passed by them again, and knocked Chomp backwards. "What the!" Chomp said in shock and stumbled back.

Scorch ran back over to Chomp, and looked around. "What's going on here" he said cautiously and stood in front of his friend protectively. The strange presence came at Scorch next.

"Oh, little Quilava. You survived?" The voice whispered in Scorch's mind using a telepathy. A psycho cut came out of the darkness, and Scorch squeaked in shock. The Cyndaquil shot off a Flamethrower that light up the floor. The move hit the psycho cut destroying the move, and hitting a pitch black Pokemon. "This isn't over" the Pokémon snarled when he sensed someone else on the floor. He disappeared into the shadows.

"What was that?" Scorch whispered quietly and shook his head clear. "Chomp are you alright?"

Scorch looked up to Spring and nodded. "I'm fine. Chomp are you okay?" He asked in concern. Chomp sat up and shook his head clear.

"I'm fine. What was that thing!?" He said in shock and looked around the floor. Scorch shrugged unsure on what Pokémon had attacked.

*Definitely wasn't a squirtle" Scorch mumbled dryly.

Making it to the fifth floor, Aki let out an excited screech and sprinted forward. "THERE'S THAT DROWZEE!" He yowled, using quick attack to catch up to the yellow psychic type.

The Drowzee froze and turned quickly, only to find Flair (and Uki, Flair had pulled the Noibat along) behind him. In a flurry of panic, he turned back to Aki and launched a psybeam.

Flair moved quickly, flinging herself forward to counter the psybeam with ember while Aki used quick attack to dodge around the attacks and smash into the Drowzee, sending it stumbling back.

Uki growled and quickly flew behind the drowzee and used dark pulse. (Noibats have ridiculous speed lol)

Scorch nodded uncertainly. Neither of those Pokémon can hide in the shadows that well. Absol is whitish gray and black, and Gallade is more green and blue. He thought to himself and helped Chomp back up.

"Should we keep going and find that poliwag?" Chomp asked suddenly.
