Kat was about to leave when the group in black clothes ran after
the two. Kat then growled "they will kill anyone who talks about
hunters" he explained darkly. He was already looking for an escape
route.
(the group in black are workers from the government)
She nodded, looking around. "Hey, let's go back to my apartment.
I'm sure we can get some good food there," Kanti suggested loud
enough for them to hear. "I bought loads of popcorn."
Kat looked over slightly confused, but decided to allow her to go
along with what she was planning. "Alright sounds good" he said
evenly, he saw the group whispering to themselves closely.
Kanti nodded and made a sharp right and another sharp right into an
alleyway. She jumped off of the ground into an open dumpster.
"Hurry up before they catch up," She hissed, keeping it open.
Lucia ran, carefully avoiding people, occasionally looking over her
shoulder to be sure nobody was following her or looking at her. She
made a sharp left and froze, looking around curiously before
sinking to the ground. Humans were weird, a mystery to her even
now.
Kat nodded, and jumped into the dumpster. Scowling at the stench,
he listened to the strangers run past them. He then held his breath
in case they came back, but they never did.
Kanti carefully opened it. "Sorry. It's an instinct," She sighed,
climbing out. "When it comes to fight or flight, I fit squarely
into the 'flight' category."
Kat nodded, and climbed out of the dumpster. "I'll never understand
humans" he growled lowly, and brushed off some wrappers. "Flight
seemed best at the moment...I don't think they'd want a tiger to
bite into them" he said unknowingly mentioning the fact that he
would have fought the strangers.
Kanti raised her hand. "Handshake. Eh, don't worry about it, that
whole thing was tricky to figure out for me, too. Easy once you
understand thumbs, though."
Kat laughed slightly. "I guess that makes me Katsumi Dragic, the
tiger" he said kindly. He then looked up and saw Lucia run by
quickly. He was confused for a moment, but shook it off.
