The supernatural. Murderous creatures of myths and
stories.
What if I told you they're real? There is a city, not far from
here, where they live. Some say in peace, some say they are all at
war.
Well, you may get a chance to go!
Tomorrow is the day we sent a group of our citizens to the
city.
They live as servants or something more to these creatures.
If you are lucky, you are given a collar that tells the others you
are freed.
The day of sacrifice, you are chosen.
You are sent to the city.
You have decided to make your mark.
---
It's the day the other city sends you children.
You all are on your best behavior, best clothes.
You all hate it.
It's not you.
But its what keeps you from being killed.
See, the humans believe that you all are killers.
Murderers.
But you aren't!
You get a chance once every few years to prove this.
But there is a war going on.
Factions in the city.
Each faction for themselves.
What'll happen this year?
The citizens were on their way. Some walking, some on horse back,
most on a carrage.
"Why do we need this old fashioned thing!?" Aqua complained.
"It's so the supernatural don't freak out, and kill us, or
something." Luna replied, her nose in a book.
Rosa was with Lauren. She was to say when she felt lightheaded, as
Lauren had to drink. "L-Lauren..." She managed. She let Lauren
drink extra, as she had to go multiple days without some blood to
let the bites heal.
"Ahh, sorry." Lauren sighed. "You're still letting me drink extra."
She kissed the bite marks, causing her Rose to go red. She smiled.
"Glad to see your lightheadedness isn't effecting you that
much~"
"S-shut up!"
Vera gently fluttered next to them, her dark wings shimmering in
the light. "Personally I just hope this batch of humans is stronger
than the last. My last servant didn't last long."
"Pfft. I could kill one, so easily." Daisy replied.
Lauren heard this and protectively put an arm around Rosa.
"Lauren..." Rosa warned.
Lauren picked a spot far away from Daisy.
