Next, Valerie and Parisa both returned their Pokémon. The leader sent out a Sylveon and a Mr. Mime, respectively. Parisa analyzed the situation and sent out her Espeon and Goodra, causing Valerie to chuckle. "You're sending a Dragon-type against two Fairy-types?" she asked Parisa. Parisa smirked and flipped her ponytail behind her shoulder. "Don't think we don't have a few tricks up our sleeves." she warned.
"Sylveon, Light Screen! Mr. Mime, Reflect!" Valerie commanded.
"Espeon, use Sand Attack! Goodra, Rain Dance!"
Both Fairy-types on Valerie's team covered themselves in a protective coat, though Parisa's Pokémon combined moves to make the battlefield stormy and muddy.

"Espeon, Psychic!" Parisa commanded. Espeon's eyes then glowed blue and the same blue surrounded him and Goodra as they both began levitating over the mud.
Parisa waited for the opponents to get closer before calling out their next attacks.
"Espeon, use Iron Tail on Mr. Mime! Goodra, Poison Tail on Sylveon!" she commanded.
The opponents were too slow in the mud to dodge the attacks, though the Reflect set up by Mr. Mime helped cushion the blow.
"Sylveon! Mr. Mime!" Valerie shouted. "Double Dazzling Gleam!"
Sylveon and Mr. Mime both began to shine very brightly and the quickly approached Espeon and Goodra dealing a direct hit.
"Mr. Mime, use Thunder Wave!" Valerie commanded again. As Mr. Mime was about to land the Thunder Wave on Espeon, Goodra pushed him out of the way and now suffered from paralysis.

"Goodra!" Parisa shouted, who in return looked back at her with a confident smile. A light bulb flashed in her head, reminding her of its ability, Hydration, and now they merely waited for it to activate.
"Don't slow down now! Dragon Pulse!" she commanded.
Valerie smirked and allowed her Pokemon to be hit by the attack, as Dragon-type moves deal no damage to Fairy-types, but a split second later, Parisa's Espeon's Swift came hurling towards the two Pokemon and dealt a direct hit. [Even though Swift can never miss ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯]
Parisa watched as her Goodra's Paralysis broke off of it in multiple sparkles and she smiled. "Espeon, Psychic to shoot Goodra across the battlefield and charge up his Poison Tail!" she commanded. Goodra was then sent at a high speed towards the opponents and hit them both, one at a time, with a Poison Tail which was enough to knock them both out.
The rain cleared and Valerie presented Parisa with a badge. "We're all out of TMs, but I did a little research on you... You're a performer, right?" Valerie asked, Parisa nodded in return. "This Pokemon right here is very interested in participating in a Pokemon Showcase..." Valerie told Parisa, sending out a Togekiss. "Would you mind borrowing her so she can participate? I'm too busy with the Gym and I feel like if I entered, people would unfairly vote for me..." Parisa smiled and nodded, accepting Valerie's request.

Fenna was now strolling in Lumiose and decided to do a makeover before the contest. She really couldn't perform in that style.

Fenna got herself a dress for the contest and some other accessories as well. "I'm so ready for that contest, right?" The Sylveon, who rejoined her with Fletchinder, nods and Fenna looked at another poster. Lumiose Contest, pushed to Laverre
Fenna looked at it. "Well then, let's get some more." Fenna said, walking in the shops again with Sylveon.

After getting a quick performance down, she sighed and people began piling into the stadium.
She walked backstage and began getting ready for the Contest, changing into a floral jumpsuit with nude heels. She then let her long hair down, reaching about to her waist, though parted the top to make a tight bun. She then curled the bottom of her hair, giving her bouncy curls which visually shortened her hair to about chest length.

Fenna looked at a screen at Parisa and looked amazed. "What a great suit!"
She would show up later with Helioptile and Kirlia, while she puts on her clothes.

Parisa saw Fenna backstage and approached her. "I need some advice," she started, "should I put my hair up? I never have it down and it's kinda stressing me out because I don't know how I really feel about it..."
