Forum-Index → Roleplay → RP Sign-up → SUPERHERO RP SEARCHCivilian Name:Carl Hammers
Nickname:The Tactic
Superhero Name:The Blade
Age:39
Gender:Male
Civilian Appearance:Blonde, short hair, a bit of blonde beard, always wearing his medic costume, the palest skin you'll ever see, blue eyes, also has great muscle but doesn't usually use it.
Superhero Appearance: A red mask over his eyes, armor like the Lich King from WOW with spikes on shoulders and has a sword forged by himself on the top of a mountain.
Personality: He is named the Tactic out of good reasons. Has muscle but prefers tactics and strategy over fight. Does not hesitate though on attacking one of the Nine Legendary Villains.
Powers/Abilities: Master sword wielder and has a gaze that scares opponents.
Backstory: He decided to study medicine and to be a tactic, calm, collected man. Something drew him to the top of a mountain where he forged a sword and became The Blade, eventually joining the Nine Legendary Heroes and got a rival from the Nine Legendary Villains in form of Nightwolf. Now that Grizzwolfer is successor of Nightwolf he is now Blade's rival.
Nationality:U.S.A
Allies: Every hero
Villains: Grizzwolfer
Other:Can he be one of the Nine Legendary Heroes who once fought for New York but then the villains disbanded? BTW of the original nine villains there are eight left (Nightwolf died.)
I tinkered with the form a bit because I'm somewhat of a fancy-pants, I hope that's okay.

Your Username: Finhawk
Civilian Name: Jonathan Lee
Nickname: Johnny or Johnny-boy
Superhero Name: Leech
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Nationality: British
Civilian Appearance: Standing at 5'8'', Johnny's nothing spectacular for a guy when it comes to height. He's also quite slim in build so he's certainly not that threatening based on appearance. For everyday clothes, he likes dressing in T-shirts or tank tops (of solid colors, usually green) and simple jeans. He pretty much always wears a pair of green converse that have been worn and loved and it shows.
Superhero Appearance: For quick and easy identity concealment, Johnny wears a howler balaclava. As for clothing, he wears a dark grey tank top along with black cargo shorts and trainers. (Or in case of a sudden need for superheroing, whatever he was wearing at that time + the howler balaclava.) It's the laziest and dorkiest superhero costume and he's not even ashamed of it. The nerve of this guy...
Personality: Johnny's a laid-back guy and the happy-go-lucky type. He doesn't worry or stress about anything too much and doesn't go out of his way to pick up fights with the 'bad guys'. In fact, he doesn't really assume anyone to be a 'bad guy' even if they've been labeled a villain, he'd rather hear what the villain has to say and solve conflicts by words rather than going straight to the punching things -part. Though he won't really have problems with the punching things if and when it comes to that. He claims it's way less bothersome to talk stuff out than wreck everything in an epic battle.
However, he's no saint. Far from it. If you asked what he's like from others, he would most likely be described as lazy, stupid, indifferent, irresponsible, rude, childish, and most likely annoying. All of this is true to some extent. Sure, taking the easy way might be considered lazy, Johnny says it's wise. He's certainly not a complete moron but, let's be honest, he's not exactly the sharpest tool in the box either. He seems to have no regard for those around him and just does whatever he feels like doing with absolutely no consideration towards possible consequences. And all this while throwing some stupid comments in the air. It's no surprise that some heroes don't really take him seriously or even openly dislike him. Johnny claims he doesn't care.
Even with all those questionable traits, his biggest downfall must be his naivety. Johnny's way too gullible for his own good. He really wants to see the positive in the world around him so he's quite eager to believe it when it's presented to him, even if it's an obvious lie. He means well and he wants to be good but he gets lost on the wrong path way too easily. Like they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Powers/Abilities: Life-force absorption
What this means is that Johnny can extract life-force/energy from other living beings (human, animal or plant) for his own use. The stolen life-force basically translates to a slight enhancement in his strength, speed, and stamina along with a small boost to resisting extreme conditions (cold weather for example) depending on how much he has taken. However, he can only achieve the level of a top athlete, nothing inhuman. He basically also won't need to rest or eat as long as he keeps 'recharging' himself. Taking someone else's life-force also has a small healing effect on him but it's limited to small cuts and bruises.
The 'victim' is weakened to some extent depending on how much this meanie Leech has stolen Life-force from them. If Johnny keeps draining his target long enough, the result is a coma and eventually death. Plants usually face death when Johnny uses them as his batteries, especially any small plants.
However, to use his ability Johnny must touch his victim, skin to skin. Once contact is broken, Johnny can't leech off of the target any longer until contact is re-established. This power also has a serious downside to it, using it is 'addictive'. The more he uses his power, the more he needs to use it.
Backstory: There's no melodramatic tragic deaths or losses in the childhood of this hero. Johnny grew up with two loving parents and
Nope. Newsflash, teenagers are stupid. He had neat superpowers, of course he had to use them just for fun. I mean, the powers gave him the opportunity to play video games all night instead of sleeping, who wouldn't grab such a sweet deal? Things started slowly going downhill, unnoticed by Johnny himself, as the addiction set in. And eventually, at the age of 17, he ended up almost killing his best friend who lied in coma in a hospital bed for roughly 2 years afterwards.
Understandably, that was a rather sudden wake-up call and the idiot did his darnest to keep himself in line after that. But just to be safe, it was best to keep everyone at arm's length as well. This abrupt and weird change in behavior together with his friend's weird coma had some people growing suspicious and concerned.
Once he was 18, Johnny decided to do something 'constructive' with his ability and fulfill every young boy's dream. He became a superhero! ...A kind of a lame superhero but it still counts. During his years as a barely competent vigilante, Johnny teetered at the edge of the Dark Side on a couple occasions, ending up too close to a similar situation as the one with his friend. He thinks he's in full control of himself, or so he at least claims to think. Locking up any doubts and fears in a box at the very back of his mind is surprisingly not that hard.
Allies: Most heroes, I'd imagine Crossheart more specifically since they're both British and therefore probably at least know of each other beforehand.
Villains: Villains that have proven themselves to be unable to reason with. (Also, The Cloak of Ivy most likely. :,D)
Other: Basically only eats noodles and sandwiches. Especially PB&J sandwiches.
Yes, not the most heroic character. He's very much more on the grey area. (And may even go villain depending on how the actual RP goes.) Is that fine?
I realize that's quite a bit to read. Sorry about that, I tried to keep it brief while trying to put down everything I thought relevant in some shape or form. But it still evidently got slightly out of hand.
Hopefully I managed to explain the power properly, questions are encouraged if something is left unclear. (And yeah, I know what I'm implying with that little side-effect and I know where I am. I'll do my very best not to cross any lines with that. I don't see it as a big deal but I can understand if some of you do.)
I think I've rambled enough, I now humbly pass my form over to your final judgement.
And on the subjects of the Legendary Heroes/Legendary Villains, could I do some stuff on terms of sorting the others out. Maybe a potential future roleplay in the series, depending on how this one goes.
(Takes a while to read)
That... Was really detailed. I thought I'd have to question what limitations his power had, but you explained that really well. And, really, it is fine if he becomes a Villain during the roleplay, it just means you'd need to make another Superhero were you considering to make a different Villain character. And don't worry! I like how you put so much information. It helps give detailed information.
Hey, jump into the main RP at any time. The group of characters in Britain, currently, are waiting.
And no, I wasn't planning on making another character, villain or otherwise. I just don't think I have the time to do justice to two characters. :,]
I shall go throw my dork into the mix. : D
I mean...
Johnny does exactly that and feels no guilt about it. :,]
Though I guess they could end up having an interesting dynamic. They might get along quite well otherwise and then have this one big conflict.
Of course, Caleb's your character and I have no right to dictate what he's like. I'm just a bit confused. xD
P.S. I love Johnny's power.
