The blue text is what I was told
The purple text (same color as the "flames" surrounding the character) is what I think tbh
The character's name was originally going to be Bouncefire, but in the warrior cats book series exists a "Bouncefire" already, so I changed the name to Ziska, which means "free". I think it fits because of the wing pattern on her back :v

I understand about the blur tool thing, but I honestly just can't do the self-blur thing, it always looks bad when I do it.
I'll try to edit this post with critiques, but currently I am supposed to be doing homework so-
it's in a spoiler due to the second image.

I believe the problem with the blur tool, is that usually objects will have sharper shadows than other areas, while the blur tool blurs everything with the same intensity.
The darker the shadow, the more likely chance that it'll be sharper as well.
The blur tool just blurs that completely.
Do you have a brush that has the option for colour blending?
But anyways, I agree with Sky-
