After Avery bought those items, she ran toward the lab. She was excited. She was going to get a Pokémon. She thought about what it would look like. Would it be a Snivy like her mom had from Unova? Or an Fennekin like her dad chose? Or would it be an Eevee? I bet it's eevee. But you never know, she thought.

Avery waved to Draco. "You ready to go to the lab?" she asked her mom's Skiddo, Leaf. "Okay Skiddi, let's get my first Pokémon." The Skiddo tilted its head and followed her. It nudged its Pokéball and was sent back. "Oh Skiddi," Avery whispered with a mental laugh. She was nearing the Lab.

She skipped over to Amy and Draco. She took the Pokéball off her belt and let Skiddi out. The Skiddo stared at her. "Stop staring at me with those big, ol' eyes," she said jokingly to the Skiddo. I hope Mom lets me have Skiddi. She'll make a great team member, Avery thought.

"Sure!" Avery replied excitedly. "Skiddi, return please." The Skiddo disappeared into her Pokéball. "Skiddi belongs to my mom by the way. She just lets Skiddi tag along with me."

"I'm Avery! And that was Skiddi." Avery took a pair of sunglasses out of her bag and put them on. "I don't know why but I felt like putting these on."

"Thank you for holding the door, Draco," Avery said gratefully. She stepped inside the laboratory excitedly, but keeping her cool. She took off the glasses.

"Ah you 3 must be trainers. You may each choose 1 pokemon out of those 3 on the table" he said pointing t the table with pokeballs on it
