Whiteleap looks down at the badger. "Its dead all right, looks like
a small cat killed it" he curls his nose a little. "Its no threat
to us, and its the only one in the area. you need to get back to
camp ok? You seem to be in pain."
"I suppose that would be up to you," Shadedfur mewed, her tail
wrapping around her paws, the white of the tip bright against her
dark paws. "Oakpaw found a kit on our patrol, after running off
without permission." She added that last bit with a little growl of
irritation. "He's lost, and I brought him here in hopes he could
stay until his family is found."
Whiteleap helps wolfpaw to the medicine cat den. "Wishflower will
take care of you when she isnt busy" he meows, turning to snowflank
who had returned to her nest. All we really can do is watch her,
make sure she doesn't hurt anyone.
"thank you." Wolfpaw said, tears still in her eyes. She curled up
in a tight ball and fell asleep. She couldn't remember a good herb
for headaches. Or a broken soul.
Whiteleap watches her curl up and sympathetically nuzzles her. "Get
some rest wolfpaw, you'll be alright" he purrs softly, padding away
to join snowflank. "I might be able to get used to this"
Wolfpaw thrashes her paws in her sleep, her tail still curled with
her. She tries to bite the air but feels the cold wind and wakes
up. She looked around slightly embarrassed and fell back asleep.
//im going to throw icetooth in now, whiteleap's pretty mom
deserves love
Whiteleap watches wolfpaw for a bit, before drifting off to sleep,
next to snowflank.
Meanwhile beyond the camp entrance, a beautiful she-cat wanders.
She stops to taste the air, looking up to the sky. "Starclan help
me find my son" she whispered. Almost as if it were on command, a
feather floated by in the breeze. The she-cat looked in its
direction and tasted the air once again, picking up the very faint
scent of whiteleap. It wasn't the soft kit scent she knew, but it
was definitely him. Whispering a thank you to starclan, she began
to follow the wind, towards the camp.
The breeze annoyed Wolfpaw. The wind kept hitting her eyes, her fur
was bristled in coldness. Wolfpaw moved closer to Whiteleap,
purring she fell asleep.
Whiteleap flinches as wolfpaw curls up next to him, and he
hesitates before curling up around the small apprentice, a wave of
importance washing over him, feeling as if he was responsible for
her.
Whiteleap rests his tail on Snowflank's tail. "You should tell
Wishflower about that, i don't think having a cold will help speed
up your healing at all."
//I stfg melanie if you give snowflank greencough or something
"Alright, but if it gets any worse you need to tell Wishflower." he
purrs softly, glancing down at the Wolfpaw that he suddenly
remembered was next to him.
"I hope so..." Snowflank yawned. "Honestly, I think she is a good
cat." She looked away. "Other than all the stuff that has been
happening to her." She sighed. "I sort of feel bad for her..."
"To be honest, i do too. It's not fair that shes in pain all
because of some possible prophecy. She hasn't done anything to hurt
anyone, and if anything, she saved the clan from that badger, even
though that shouldn't have happened."
