Flintstar stepped out of her den and padded the Hightree. She looked over her clanmates. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Hightree for a Clan meeting" She yowled and waited for everyone to appear.

Silverblossom padded to the center of camp as well and took a seat, watching Flintstar. I wonder what Flintstar has to announce, she thought, briefly glancing around before returning her attention to the clan's leader.

She called out once more, "Doublekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Doublepaw). Your mentor will be Silverblossom. I hope Silverblossom will pass down all she knows on to you." She turned to Silverblossom. "Silverblossom, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Sandtail, and you have shown yourself to be great and strong. You will be the mentor of Doublekit, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her."

Doublekit bounced up and down, she was really happy. She searched the crowd for SilverBlossom. She found her and went up to her. "Hi! Are you my new mentor??" She was so excited, she sounded sort of stupid.

Silverblossom was surprised to hear her name and it took her a moment to realize she was going to mentor Doublepaw. She padded to Doublepaw and touched noses with her, remembering her own apprentice ceremony. "Yes, I am," she replied to the excited apprentice.

Yellowsting was sitting near the entrance of the warriors den. He couldn't move all the way to Hightree due to his limbs hurting.

Doublekit was excited. She was now DoublePaw. She couldn't wait to begin her training, and gladly touched noses with SilverBlossom again. "Yay! When are we going to begin training? When?" She bounced around excitedly.

"Well, first we're going to tour the territory," Silverblossom replied with a purr of amusement. Even she wasn't this excited during her apprentice ceremony, maybe a bit less then Doublepaw. "We should probably wait until the meeting is over, as I don't know is this is all Flintstar is doing. Besides, you don't want to miss out on everyone chanting your new name, Doublepaw."
