Then Waterheart heard a tiny songbird, "Tiny but food," Waterheart
thought to himself. Then dropped to a perfect hunting crouch,
upwind, and he prepared to pounce. Suddenly a random tiny animal
bolted out from a bush and scared the bird off.
Blackbird stalked the mouse and pounced. She caught it with a quick
bite and looked up, barely seeing the animal scaring off the
songbird. "What was that?" She mewed, burying her catch.
Pigeonpelt pads silently, stopping shortly to look at the warriors,
Waterheart and Blackbird, before continuing his way. He sniffed the
air, recognizing a small bird a few feet away. Pigeonpelt blinked,
admiring the small black bird.
Moonshine purred, watching over the two kits. "Now, now, don't play
rough. You two know that." She tells Snowkit and Angelkit.

Blackbird shrugged and swept the last bit of dirt over the buried
prey with her tail. "Okay then." She started to stalk a thrush,
which flew away right as she pounced. She landed in the dirt and
sat up. "Great." She sighed, trying to shake the dirt out of her
fur.
Then Waterheart heard another bush shake, "I got you now" he
murmured to himself, taking a mighty leap and pounce onto whatever
scared off the thrush he almost got, landing on a tiny snake,
quickly and strongly applying a blow directly below the snake's
skull making sure not to get bit.
Blackbird looked up and found the same thrush aiming to land on a
far tree root. She kept low and approached it, then jumped onto it.
The bird struggled, but she managed to kill it with a quick
bite-and-claw. She set the bird down and started on burying it.
Then, through the trees on the coast Waterheart saw a fish, running
as fast as he could and pouncing on the fish and just holding it
down to die, "Poor guy would have die anyways," Waterheart thought
to himself.
