~Lilac's POV~

I looked at the wrecked wall of the west wing of Duskshadow's HQ. "Well, this will take a long time to fix, won't it Banette?"
"Maybe, though I'm sure you could do something. I still think that you should make a secret HQ or at least a secret passageway out of here."
Everyone usually thought I was crazy, even by Duskshadow standards. I seemed to be able to guess ghost type's actions and read what they were trying to say. It wasn't something I could always do though. I needed help from Banette and I had to practice. I still sometimes couldn't understand what pokémon were saying.
"Well.... maybe, but you should know that it isn't my decision, Banette. I have to talk to Melanie first."

Melainie's POV

It seemed so empty alone in my office, located in the eastern wing of the HQ. Usually, someone was there, needing to talk to me for some reason. It was quite annoying then, but I missed it somewhat. There had been many casualties in the last war. The emptiness kept reminding me of that. Duskshadow was not ready for warfare with the Lightfall Alliance. I was relieved when we called a cease-fire. When we were stronger, we would fight. But for now, the strategic approach would work best. "Ah, Absol. I know you are itching for combat, but we must wait." I hoped my spy would get through soon. I needed the information of Lightfall's whereabouts.

Lilac's POV
I wandered the halls looking for any signs of serious damage, other than the west wing, of course. That one was pretty obvious to everyone. I hoped that Melanie was making some smart decisions right now. We couldn't waste anymore solders. "Banette, I agree with you. We NEED some other base. This one is so very known, as you can tell already. The Lightfall alliance really crushed us."
"I can't deny that." Banette said, "Duskshadow needs more recruiters."
"But then their's always things about traitors and backstabbers...." I say uncertainly, "And what if Lightfall convinces one of our soldiers to be a spy?"
"The spy can't act openly, though." Banette said, "So he or she WILL have to kill some of his own allies. He can't refuse, otherwise Melanie would know that he's up to something."
"I suppose." I looked at Banette with doubt, "I suppose."
I looked around at the North entrance hallway, peppered with gun holes and scorch marks. And then their was Lightfall, who seemed so powerful to us Duskshadow, "Do you think that we're doing the right thing fighting in this war, Banette?"
"I don't know." Banette replied, "But going back to the talk about secret bases well.... You might want to look around. Don't think that underground bases are always the best thing."

Appearance (can describe or use photo): Straight silver-white hair that falls to her waist, orange (red is overrated Dx) eyes, anddd uhhh yeah refer to pic I'm being lazy today.
Pokemon Comrade: Ambriose, an Altaria with an unusually large wingspan (think Lugia), and a cosmic patterned body (liiike, dark blue sky with moons, comets and stars adorning it)
Backstory/personality/additional details: Telekinetic. (I hope that's okay o3o) Ambriose, oddly enough, is able to do some Dark type moves an Altaria normally couldn't. This probably is connected to the fact that Ambriose was somewhat exposed to powers of a Zygarde when she was a Swablu, altering her physically, mentally, and genetically.

Hopefully that wasn't OPed or anything...and no majorly powerful Dark type moves will be given to Ambriose, promise o3o

Lilac's POV

Lilac went over to the row of offices on the East Wing, the side that wasn't damaged, "I see the technician and the Deputy and the leader." I looked around and sighed. I sort of wanted to become promoted, but for some reason I liked being a low rank. Don't ask me, I was just weird that way.
"No, no. This won't work!" Banette yelled angrily all of a sudden, "You know that what we have to do is go to the safehouse, Mikki!"
I backed away slowly, but didn't say anything. I remembered how it was, that Banette was formerly a doll that was abandoned. I didn't really want to mess things up for her. She was probably lost in her old life. This was the creepy thing about us, me, with my creepy abilities, and Banette with her random ranting. Yep, we're perfect for each other.

Later that day, after I had snuck out the 'kitchen' with a muffin in hand, I asked Banette about the storage house she was talking about.
"Well, it's pretty dangerous and old now, but it was formerly the palace of a very rich family, and I was the doll of the daughter, and her name was Mikki." Banette said, "The storage house was pretty big and hidden, and that was where I was hidden away until I turned into a Pokémon."
"Maybe I shouldn't ask..." I said grinning like a madman, but where IS this storage house? Take me to it, I need to know where it is."
"Okay." Banette sighed, and she pointed towards a hill with a desolate little mansion looking like a dollhouse, "It's just under the second tree in the courtyard five steps away from the grave stone and then three feet away from the incinerator..."
"HOLD ON!" I yelped, "what incinerator are you talking about?"
"N-no, it's just what it's called. It has nothing to do with fire. You'll know it when you see it, there's a big sign..."

Turns out it was just the name of a monster truck. Huh... I found the secret base all right, it was spacious, but also very old and pretty hard to find.

[Before I post, I just want to say I've had several bad experiences with people starting an RP without a clear background. What started the war exactly? Why are they fighting? Is it possible that legendary Pokemon have a history with this, which is why they aren't siding? Any other third party enemy?]

Well, there is only two sides, and I don't think that it has anything to do with legendaries. I still don't understand the war though. :l

EDIT: so, this takes place around the area of what used to be mount silver, near the indigo plateau. a few generations after the time of the video games, conflicts are erupting between jhoto and kanto over the ownership of the indigo plateau. In battles that resulted, the plateau was destroyed, and new pokemon champion bases were erected, individually for both regions. This cut off communication between the two regions, so they eventually forgot about each other. Generations later, Mt. Silver(which was actually a dormant volcano) erupted, causing widespread destruction. In an effort to regroup, each region individually abandoned their abandoned gyms and the poke ball. People must befriend pokemon individually, or fail. Now, a few more generations later, in efforts to find undamaged territory, the two region's respective armies have met, and forgetting all past relations, have thrust themselves into war.

The light fall army (kanto) and the dark dusk army (photo) have patron saints, the three birds for kanto and the three dogs for jhoto, although the actual legendaries have long since abandoned the region, hopeless.

((So... Duskshadow is Jhoto (not photo right?), and Lightfall is Kanto. They want to find a place for land, and the legendaries are the Dog trio and the bird trio. Hm.... I think I can live with that.

May I just ask one thing...
WHat happened to the other regions? Are they unaffected by the thing, or did they all join one of the two groups, or did they all die?
