Maven's legs started shaking, and he gulped. Everything that has happened thus far had something in common...they were trying to make trespassers flee out of terror. If they really wanted him dead, they could had hit him with a gem, but he wasn't. The scratching from earlier was quite eerie, but it made sense... Maven panicked, what on earth was going on? This wasn't something that you'd see happen any day. At one point while 'avoiding' the attacks, he gazed at one of the gems that were thrown at him. He truly felt like something was behide all of the events in this cave. If there was something, it was a expert to say the least. He attempted to keep moving forward, trying to stay well aware of any other sort of trap or fright.

He looked up at the torchs as he walked futher into the cave. "Hmm, fancy I'll admit. I thought the darkness would swallow me whole. Haha..." Maven cackled. He kept thinking as he went on "I wonder what keeps everyone from getting these gems..." He reminds himself of the sound of scraping claws again. "Was that...real? One of his feet took a step back as he flinched. "Gah- What was..." He narrowed his eyes, and took a step forward again "Right, I must just be imaging things...am I?" He had a feeling that something was lurking in there. He shook his head, and faced the entrance. He sighed. "Well then, procrastination will get me no where."
