Name: Cherry Age: 16 Gender: Female Appearance: Cherry has very red, long, yet slightly wavy hair, so much that is almost the color of red velvet cake. Her skin is a peach color, so her rosey cheeks and bright green eyes almost always stand out. She has a normal figure, however when her trusty blush-colored raincoat (which goes down to her mid-thigh because of her short stature) is zipped up it is very much hidden. She sports brown leggings or the occasional brown shorts on hot days, to match a dark pink t-shirt under her raincoat. She enjoys wearing simple brown sneakers to match as well. Personality: Cherry is very motherly and protective, and holds herself and her friends to high standards. She is sweet and calm, and doesn’t like to start fights under any circumstance, which shocks many who know how loyal she is. Her calm and nice personality leads to her to sometimes be seen as a bit creepy at times, and sometimes people don’t trust her. She is also very sensitive and can get offended easily, to the annoyance of both trainers and her friends. However when she does get offended, she would rather punish you by giving you a long lecture on manners than battling. Starter: Spheal (Male) Other: -She was born and lived in Cherrygrove City in Johto almost all her life, however her parents didn’t allow her to become a trainer because of the danger with Team Rocket. -When she was 15 she decided to move to Oldale Town in Hoenn with her Aunt, who immediately got her a Spheal as a Pokémon partner. -Her Spheal loves shellfish, to her dismay. -Cherry’s dream is to become a Frontier Brain and have her own Floral-themed battle tower in Hoenn. Yes, I'm quitting PH. It may sound so sudden, and it really is sudden for me too, but like I said, I need to get away from here to start a new chapter in my internet life, and real life as well. Now, you may have questions, which I can hopefully answer here. What will happen to the free shiny shop??? I'm going to be copying the bbcode from the old shop and giving it to a friend of mine that I know can take care of the shop, without causing total chaos. I will do everything in my power to make sure the shop doesn't close, and if it does, I'm almost certain that revamps will pop up in the following weeks or months. Where could I contact you? I will still be active on Dappervolk and FlightRising, and if I ever get engaged in any new sites I will do my best to remember to pop on and add it to my Contacts. I will have all semi-current sites i'm on in my Contacts, and I even have a diary post here about where you can contact me with more options, however most of those I'm rarely on. Will you ever come back? And if so, when? It's highly possible that I will indeed come back one day. I might be off a month or two, or maybe even a year or more. I'll try my best to come back here because I don't think i'll ever forget PokeHeroes and it's amazing users. Ok...I mainly wanted to say thank you to my friends. (You guys know who you are!) I was so cringy back when I first joined PH, and I learned so much from everyone on here. I really do think without PokeHeroes I would be such a different person today. I had only joined because I heard about it in a chat box on another website so long ago, and if I had not seen that message (before it was deleted) I don't know where I'd be. All the people here made PokeHeroes what it is, and I love that about the site. I'll never forget any of you, and i'd be more than happy to see you guys on other websites. I'm so happy that I could talk to everyone here and see what I mean so much to other people! It makes me so incredibly happy to see users who will miss my feeds because I know i'll be that much more excited to come back here in the future. Eevee slots are full, and it even says so under the list of users with slots... I'm going to have to give you a warning for that... You also didn't put in the name of the breeder, or your correct username in the form? You see, I need both those things to copy and paste your username into a list and the breeder's name so in the main post, and so I can just use Ctrl + F since the list of breeders is very big. It's just important to remember~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I also added a new rule to the shop regarding gender requests! Aside from that, I'm looking for 2 more moderators! I have removed the older ones because none of them were active, however old moderators can re-apply. 1. Nobody condemns you for "not having enough money"? I know how those auctions work, but PH auctions just don't work like that. You put the money out there, you don't say you're going to bid something then pay later. 2. Outbidding is the purpose of auctions. The people who have money and outbid you are not mean people, it's just the game. What I'm getting from this is that you don't like it when people have money, and follow the simple rules of the auction house. 3. What? Wait, so before somebody thinks about bidding on an auction (because they want that Pokemon), they need to think? Not many people on PH want to waste their money just bidding highly on auctions that were a low price before, with sniping being the only exception. However, when somebody sniped an auction the auction usually ends seconds afterward, and you get your money back quickly anyway. 4. This is kind of an overall thing, but why are you relating the Pokeheroes AH system to the real life one? PH's Auction House is nothing like real life auctions and it's ok that way. Nobody really said much before about it. The PH Auction House is a fair, "put up your money" sort of thing. You get it back anyway. PH's Auction House doesn't penalize the poor, the poor don't have the "right" to the Auction House or a Pokemon if they can't afford it. It's how everyone plays the game, it's not unfair. 4. The person can bid how they like. Nobody else will get "poor" from them, they'll get poor- then not be able to outbid anyone on auctions! People can't predict the future. It's not the outbidder's fault that they had to raise their bid so high to win before everyone else just withdraws their own bids. (Here's another example: An auction is at 10 PD. Over the hour, it climbs to 10k PD between 2 users. (No, it's not their fault it climbed so high. Maybe they went 10-100 PD at a time like many auctions go.) User B then runs out of money to bid and withdraws his money. Great. User A wasted 9k more than he needed to not because it was his fault, but because of User B withdrew his own bid. User B should have been ready to bid higher/waited for the auction to end before getting his money back.) 1. What are the chances 2 or more users who want to have a battle with another random user, and have the same/similar level requirements can actually happen? Not too many users I know like battling, and those who do usually do it during an event for quick event points, and those who battle for fun might prefer just planning a time to battle (for example, type themed gyms) instead of finding somebody to battle at random. 2. Why would anybody want to use it? People I know like planned battles, with strategy. (Once again, why type themed gyms are so popular.) When you randomize it all, battling loses one of its main attractions- making a strategy. It's very hard to make a team that will win against almost every Pokemon, every battle style, every different strategy. While I think this might really work and be fun, I think these main issues must be taken into account. [Read more] |

1. Like Vasily said, the "retract your bid on an auction" suggestions have been made many, many, MANYYY times before, and all have been rejected. 2. I understand you're saying that the user should be able to get their money back after they are outbid, however, how is that fair to the user who had to pay more to outbid you? For example, let's say you bid 200k PD on a Pokemon. Somebody goes up to 250k PD, so you retract your own bid. That would be extremely unfair to the user who wasted 50k more PD than they had to because you made them spend more money on an auction than they needed to. 3. You get the money back anyway? I don't think too many people are going to start bidding, more so starting a bidding war on an auction that would last 1-2 more weeks. I would think most users get outbid in the final seconds of an auction being sniped, where you would get your money back afterward anyway. Hmm...I personally wouldn't do Ghost, mostly since it might make the dragon look a bit...busy? ono? Runes just matched with her eyes and all owob Though i'm sure Ghost could work! I'm only saying not to do Ghost most likely because I myself don't like it, so don't let me get in the way~ It'd look good either way! : ) [Read more] |
