Ceasar found out very quickly that Charlie wasn't capable of speaking, and it was confusing as to why she was never looked at for this issue. But with his many years under his belt of interviews, Ceasar swept this minor issue under the figurative rug and asked the mute child a series of "yes and no" questions, to which Charlie would either nod or shake her head respectively. When the buzzer sounded Ceasar bed Charlie a good night and good luck before the audience cheered as she made her way off stage.

"Let's here it for Ace ladies and gentlemen!"

"Ladies and gentlemen, our master of ceremonies: Caesar Flickermen!" From on stage the audience burst into applause as a man who has hosted for over forty years stood up from his chair and addressed the crowd. He was wearing the same midnight blue suit with thousands of tiny electric bulbs dotted on it making it look like stars in the night sky. His hairstyle too was the same as always but dyed a different color every year, this year was tan. It was eerie how little he had changed from what must've been many, many surgeries to look younger and thinner. Caesar warmed up the crowd with a few jokes then it was showtime.

It was the next night and the tributes were backstage, they had all receive their scores, most of them being decent enough. However, their scores didn't help with what was to come next: their one-on-one interviews with Ceasar on live TV for the whole world to see.

Akane was wearing a cream-colored tank with a cyan bow and Jeremy was wearing a green long-sleeved dress shirt with a black vest over it, dark-colored dress pants, and a pair of sturdy dark brown boots. Charlie was wearing a black dress with a darker green skirt with a pair of matching flats. Moona was left with a lacy white dress and her wings were out, most likely to add to the image.

Jeremy lightly taped Akane's shoulder and the fairy looked back at him, he had noticeably lost color in his face, probably nerves. "Jere? You doing okay?"

"Not really, I'm feeling a bit queasy," Jeremy admitted.

Akane put a comforting hand on his shoulder. "You'll be fine, don't think too much about it. Besides, it's my job to get the stage fright, you know I loath public speaking." Akane joked, trying to take his mind off his worries.

"I can try." Moona knelt down and put her hand on Faith's back, very softly the child recited a chant as her small angel wings suddenly protruded from her back, her hair fluttered softly behind her.

Power of the sun, gift me with your light.
Shine into the dark, restore our fading sight.
Rise into the dawn, blazing star so bright.
Burn away the strife, let my hope ignite.
Let hope ignite.

The chant had a small ball of golden light on the hand that was on Faith's back. It gently coaxed Faith away from the troubles plaguing her.

"Akane."

Akane straightened up her back and headed in, she instantly knew she was in trouble from the way the game makers were staring at her. "Impress us."

Impress them, hmm? Okay. Akane thought somberly. She noted the crumbling shield and pointed her hands at it, her palms outstretched, two teal-colored butterfly wings popped out from her back. "Elemental Vengeance!" A strong beam of multicolored energy formed in her hands and after gathering, launched at the shield, shattering it like glass. The Gamemakers stared at the broken shield then at Akane in shock. "Thank you for considering me for your stupid death games." Akane then flipped off the Gamemakers and left without being dismissed.

"Molly."

"Charlie."

Charlie hopped down from her chair and looked up at the Gamemakers. "Impress us." Charlie fidgeted for a moment before finally opening up her inventory and set out some obsidian, her netherrite pickaxe, and some flint and steel. Set up a portal with the obsidian and lit the inside. It sparked up and at least two pigmen came tumbling out. After ushering them back in she took down the portal and gave a polite bow. Teh child was then dismissed.

The voice on teh wall spoke again. "Tyler."

Moona looked at Faith and Natalia, she watched in concern. "Is she okay?"

"Jeremy."

Jeremy stood up and after somewhat fixing his shirt he stepped inside. Now his abilities were mediocre at impressing people at best, it wasn't very interesting to see someone flash a forcefield or force bolt was boring, to say the least. But now science was where Jeremy's strong suit lied, like Akane, though his area was chemical reactions while hers was biology.

Jeremy admittedly didn't have much to work with, but he saw a bunch of ice and some bottled Thermite. Thermite and ice as not many people would know, cause a spectacular explosion when mixed together. And this is exactly what Jeremy did, After piling the ice in a questionable fashion, he tossed a handful of the powder on the ice, and a good-sized explosion followed. With a nod he's dismissed.

The intercom spoke from the wall again, "Faith."

The Peacekeeper approached Tiffani from behind and a second came to help. They literally had to pry her hands off of Jeremy, and the result was instant. Tiffani was screaming and cursing and throwing a royal fit about how it was "all Akane's fault!" (even though Akane had done little next to nothing) as she was escourted out. They gave her a shot of a sedative to calm her, which made it easier to escort her out.

Before Akane could speak, a second pair of Peacekeepers pulled Akane roughly to her feet, and despite Akane not resisting, they gave her a shot of a sedative as well. Akane's body relaxed as she too was escorted out. Charlie started silently sobbing, a hand reaching out for Akane, who had done nothing wrong.

A few days went by and it was now the private sessions with the Game makers. Akane and Tiffany were both back by this point, but on opposite sides of the room.

The voice on the intercom spoke, "Ace"

Jeremy took the moment of silence from the girls as they hesitated with a response to sweep Akane behind him before she did anything drastic on his behalf. This. Was. A. Mistake. The moment Akane wasn't between him and the tribute girl, the blonde quickly wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled him closer, too closely apparently as he squirmed to get away.

Akane glared at the girl and took a step forward, she was seething, the flames in her hand weren't red, but blue in rage. "Give. Him. Back. Tiffani. Now."

Tiffani's emerald eyes held something dangerous in them, an almost possessive look to them. "You want him? Come get him."

Akane started forward with slow calm steps and the blonde reacted instantly. Her hand came down to strike Akane, who was ready to counter with a wall of fire, but something else got in the way instead.

A loud WHACK echoed and Charlie skittered a little ways, the impact had sent her flying a short distance. Charlie held a hand to her cheek, behind it a bruise was starting to form. Akane, startled, killed the flame in her hand and carefully helped the mute girl to her feet, apologising to the child even though it wasn't her fault. On the other hand, Tiffani didn't appear to feel the slightest bit sorry for Charlie.

(Get Jeremy away from Tiffani, now. Or help Charlie.)

Akane opened her mouth, seeming to try to down calm some, but the blonde beat her to it. "It's just awful! She's hypnotized my boyfriend and is flirting with him! She's probably going to try to bang him too!"

"*Redacted* drama queen." Akane rolled her eyes. "You're one to talk, your bedsheet rap is more than a mile long."

The blonde flushed in rage she looked like she was ready to strike Akane. "You dare-"

"You opened the door, I just walked in. You've got no one to blame but yourself." Akane insisted shrugging. From behind Akane, Jeremy looked like he wanted to crawl into a hole, don't get him wrong, he loved Akane but when these kinds of situations popped up. . .well. . .

The blonde was clearly making Jeremy uncomfortable and getting on Akane's nerves. On and on the blonde prattled about Jeremy always something, and some of it was just flat out creepy. Like dangerous stalker creepy.

"Why don't you just go suck on a banana, because that's clearly what you wanna do." Akane hissed at her finally. Jeremy's face burned red hot as he choked on his drink and started to cough, some of the liquid going up against his nose.

The blonde glared at the fairy. "Oh look at him, you clearly upset my poor boyfriend-"

Akane slammed a hand on the table in frustration, a nerve had clearly been hit. "Excuse you! YOUR boyfriend!?" Akane rounded to the blonde, now standing in confrontation. "Keep your filthy roaming hands to yourself, you *redacted*!"

"Akane no, it's not worth it!" Jeremy begged putting a hand on her arm, his face was still burning though not as badly. "Leave it alone."

The blonde just smirked. "Aw, I'm sorry, did I hit a nerve? You poor, poor naive vergin."

Eventually, the Avoxes, traitors of the capital, started to set up a large buffet for lunch. The trainers blew their whistles as they ordered the tributes to knock off to replenish their systems with food.

Charlie at next to Moona and Tayla, both girls had their trays loaded with food of their liking. Moona had a wide variety of food on her plate while Charlie had mostly veggies and fruits. Both had a tall carton of milk.

Jeremy and Akane were on the other side of Tayla. A tall blonde plopped her tray down on the other side of Akane. She had wanted to sit next to Jeremy, but since Tayla was on the other side she had to make do with. . .her. Akane didn't even acknowledge this other tribute.

There was a small band of (NPC) tributes all making a ruckus as if they considered everyone beneath them, clearly this band had made an alliance early on.

(This crazy chick is going to be important later, I'm cringing as I get ready to type up her text-)

Moona was instantly lost with Molly's conversation at first, but slowly she broke it down rather and gave him a nod rather than actual words. The last thing she needed was to be reminded that her throat had been cut open and left to bleed to death on the ground while everyone cheered on her assassin. Within every reason, it brought up very, very bad memories and trauma she had yet to heal from and would prefer to leave alone.

Moona of course didn't say this, as she handled a strange-looking plant she didn't recognize in the slightest. Instead, she said, "You seem very knowledgeable with plants and their uses. Did you do something for a living that revolved around plants?"

Charlie already knew how to start fires with her flint and steel, she also knew how to use most weapons. The child bit the inside of her lip before finally heading over to the obstacle course, watching as Faith swings through it like a monkey.

Moona on the other hand wasn't sure what to do, she had done most of the stations last year, buuuuuuuuut she supposed she could learn more about plants. So she headed over to the plant station though she kept her distance form Molly out of respect of his space and for her own sake.

Akane and Jeremy came down a little bit after Tayla had, Akane had ditched the outfit entirely, rather opting for an outfit more to her taste. Instead of the get-up Jeremy was wearing, Akane had a teal-colored loose-fitting t-shirt and a pair of dark blue shorts. She gave a polite nod to Tayla but offered no words, she simply didn't have enough in her social battery quite yet to start a conversation.

Moona and Charlie appeared a few minutes after the couple, both of them wearing the gray outfits provided, though much to the children's relief it was much more comfortable then what the adults had been given.

The tributes were finally rounded up and stood in front of a tall athletic woman who described the events o the next few days of training, once she was done talking the tributes were dismissed and allowed to train as they desired so long as they avoided fighting with other tributes.

Akane went over to the top tying station and Jeremy decided to learn how to build a shelter. Moona and Charlie looked over at what appeared to be a osbtical course, but decided against it after watching a tribute nearly break his leg trying to cross.

Akane perked up at the sound of approaching footsteps, the female fairy then looked at Tayla, "Here comes the cavalry." A small squad of peacekeepers burst through the door and quickly and subdued the issue before it could get worse. With the "fun" over, one of the tougher-looking Peacekeepers practically demanded that the tributes finished their breakfast without any more issues then head straight down to the training center.

The fairy polished off her omelet with a sigh, then put a piece of toast between her teeth, and went back upstairs to get changed. During the hullabaloo, a simple gray tank top with the number "12" and shorts had been left on the beds. One for Akane, one for Jeremy, and the third for Ibaraki. Akane grabbed her clothes and changed in the bathroom in case either male came up while she dressed. When she reemerged from the bathroom she was still fiddling with the tank top as it was much more revealing on her bust than she would like, in fact, she hated it.

Jeremy came back up a few minutes later with Akane trying to minimize the amount of cleavage showing and cursing up a storm when she realized that she couldn't fix it. Akane looked at Jeremy, "You say anything about the tank top you're getting turned into a chicken nugget that was left in the microwave on full power for five minutes."

Jeremy just sighed and took his outfit to the bathroom to change. He was inwardly dreading what he would end up looking like, gray wasn't really his color. A few minutes later he came out with the number "10" on his back. Like Akane, he found a bit of discomfort with the tank top, it was clinging to him making him feel as if it was another layer of skin rather then clothing.

Charlie's eyes widened in shock, she quickly dropped out of her seat and scrambled to her feet. Bolting behind the counter the trembling child peeked out with wide eyes.

Jeremy slowly put an arm in front of him, a large green transparent shield appeared in front of him, the other arm was raised trying to calm the angry tribute down from his spot. "Let's just try to calm down and talk this out," Jermey placed himself between the tributes. "What happened?"

"I think we're past talking at this point." Akane mused now fully awake with the sudden commotion in front of her.
