My reasoning:
Missingno's most useful glitch effect, item duplication, activates when you encounter it, so there is no need to catch one but it's nice to find.
Q ◣ causes some very fun sounding glitches that require you to have caught one. I recommend reading about them.
4 4Hy doesn't seem to have any use other than evolving into Q ◣
(assuming "party" refers to 'having a party with x', and not 'having x as a party member' as the latter would make it redundant with "catch". if this is a misinterpretation and "catch" actually means 'catch, but deposit in the PC' then my evaluations might be different. I know op said the categories were meant to be self-explanatory, but, well, I have the 'tism. I think my first assumption is probably right because it more closely resembles the related game FMK.)
