Helda smiled. “They’re just making it easier for us in the end. I know it.” She says with confidence, already sketching out designs for potential posters. She isn’t the best drawer, of course, and her pen quickly gets chewed up by the Hydreigon teeth holding it in place. She grunts in annoyance, and goes back to listening in on the heroes.

Helda laughs in agreement with Devin. “We are a twisted bunch, but a family, nonetheless.” She says somewhat grudgingly. She stands up suddenly, changing her relaxed expression to a stern and determined one. “Let’s get some posters going! Devin, you and I will make posters. Zenith will spy.” She orders as she walks into her room, soon coming out with two little drawing tablets and some computers, already flashing to signal they’re on. They still had little tags on them, signifying they were stolen. “We’ll make some designs, and once we’re done, i’ll print them.” She explains, already sitting back down at her table to start.

“We should recruit more members, yes. The only thing we do get from a smaller group is a lower profile, and we won’t need that if we have more members.” Helda said, agreeing. She then looked over at Zenith, confused. “Unless you want to go out and spy on some spies, we do not seem to have a spy.” She said with a blank expression.

Going back to Devin’s concern, she thought for a moment before responding. “We could make a couple propaganda posters, then just throw them around town. We’ll have members coming in like bees to honey! Super heroes haven’t had to hide in their insignificant lives, we’ll tell who’s who. They love to carry around the silver spoon they were born with.” She mused with an evil grin, and chomping on her eggs with haste. “I’m sure us villans are...just misunderstood, hm? The smart ones who get that will be our future members!” She went on.

“Hey Devin. I see you slept well.” Helda says slyly, noticing and somewhat admiring Devin’s coolness and prominent grumpiness. She takes out three plates, putting a good amount of eggs on all three of them. “Let’s see what happens, Zenith. They can dilly-dally on whatever they want, we should save our strength for when they actually decide to strike. Plus, with the ...loses we had the last time we charged in on them, we should hold back a bit more than we already are. Of course, you can go ahead later on if you like, no harm in knowing their plans.” Helda explained cooly, only phased when she mentioned the loses they faced. She beckoned the others to the table sitting in the middle of the large room with trays of eggs on three seats. Helda took the leftmost seat, and patiently waited for the others to come over.

(I’m thinking from a lore-perspective maybe there are so little villains because they experienced a major blow in a fight a little while back? :0)

“No, Zenith, i’m fine with the hands I have. I’d rather have hands that can defeat those snobby heroes than have hands that can clean up spilled coffee. She explained somewhat reassuringly, compared to her usual cold and annoyed tone. After her hands finished eating, she herself went to grab some eggs, and started on sunnyside eggs for the group.

“ZENITH!!” Helda crudely yells out in the direction of the hall with the bedrooms, assuming he is still sleeping. It isn’t common she asks for help with simple tasks anymore. Having no hands is one thing, but having two aggressive dragons as hands is something different, and sometimes Helda can’t do tasks such as cleaning, to her annoyance. She throws down the soaking wet rag in frustration and makes her way to the kitchen area, where she starts to feed her Hydreigon heads, which she knows would calm them down enough for her to get her own breakfast.

(Wow Lilly, great job)

“Mhmm. You guys are insufferable and I hope with all the heart I have left that you realize that.” Helda commented sarcastically to her two Hydreigon heads, who were looking down in shame where her hands should be at the broken mug and strongly-scented coffee splattered on the ground. She quickly maneuvers her “hands” to swiftly start cleaning up the mess all over the main living room of the villan hideout.

Cherry watches the battle in awe at the skill of both trainers. But, Cherry wanted to train. So she made her way onto Route 105, intending to train. Slushie battles like a champ, however Brie is hesitant to battle. However, after a couple trainer battles, she trusts her trainer a lot more- enough to reliably obey her.

Cherry walked out of the Devon Corp. building worried the next morning- she would be challenging the gym leader today. She went to the Pokémon Center, and waited for the others to meet her there. She didn’t want to challenge the gym without her friends knowing.

In the meantime, she wrote a letter to her Aunt, then one to her parents. She knew they would both be mad she was going on a journey like this so suddenly, but she assumed nobody would actually take the time to come to Rustboro City and take her home to Odale Town or back to Johto- if she would even be in Rustboro by the time the letters arrived. She took Slushie and Brie out of their PokeBalls and took some cute pictures of the two together...or as close together as they could be- Brie, a grass type, shouldn’t be too close to Slushie, an ice type.

“What a wonderful badge, Luna!” Cherry commented as Luna walked in. “I’ll challenge Roxanne later today, i’m sure. Slushie is antsy to get going, and i’m sure Brie is too!” Cherry rambled. Slushie jumped in agreement. The two made their way over to Devon Corp. hoping to learn about the gadgets of Hoenn.

“Ok Luna, ok!” Cherry said as she walked over to Nurse Joy. Slushie reluctantly got into his PokeBall, and both her Pokémon were healed up. “I would love to check out the Devon Corporation, right Slushie?” Cherry asked. Slushie rolled around, already seeming bored at the idea, but Cherry made him go anyway.

“Anybody want to come check it out with me?” she asked the group members that were already in Rustboro City.

Cherry walked along, excited to see Rustboro. “Let’s see...” Cherry said, looking at her map. “The city probing the integration of nature and science.” Cherry read out loud to the group in a matter-of-fact tone. “How charming, right Slushie?” Cherry asked Slushie. He jumped up and down, agreeing, though maybe he was just happy he couldn’t accidentally freeze the plant life there, since the city had next to no plant life shown in the map’s picture of it.

“Okay, Slushie, use Powder Snow!” Cherry exclaimed. The Shroomish was badly hurt from that one Ice type attack, and was obviously going to faint if Slushie used one more move. Remembering how Luna positioned her PokeBall, she threw it straight at the Shroomish.

Cherry whispered as the ball shook. “One....two...threeeee....” the ball clicked. Cherry ran over and claimed her new Shroomish. “I’m going to name you Brie!” Cherry smiled proudly to her PokeBall, and then her group. Slushie jumped around and around, excited to meet his new friend.

Cherry barely figured out how to open the PokeBall, but when she did her Shroomish can flying out and onto the ground, clearly not happy. “Hello, Brie! How about I use a Potion on you...” Cherry said as she sprayed a trusty Potion on her new Pokémon. Even Brie couldn’t help but relectantly thank Cherry for healing her. She walked back to her group after putting Brie in her new PokeBall.

(I was thinking...Lilly, could I possibly have Slushie be shiny? Simply because I want my Cherry and her partner pokemon’s colors to match color-wise lol)

(Slakoth has a 5% encounter rate in Petalburg Woods in both Ruby/Sapphire and ORAS)

“Good luck, Luna!” Cherry says quietly as she passes by, hoping not to scare Luna’s Pokémon. Cherry goes on her own search for Shroomish, but goes through a trainer instead. She sighs and starts the battle, sending out Slushie. Lucky, Spheal already knew Powder Snow, and easily beat the trainer, who had 3 Wurmples.

Soon enough, a little Shroomish walked out into Cherry’s sight confidently, obviously thinking it could beat her Spheal. Cherry smiled at the cute and feisty Shroomish, deciding to fight it. “Umm...ok...how do I throw a PokeBall, again?” she asked aloud, holding a PokeBall upside-down.

Cherry thanked Jona profusely, placing the necklace around her neck and giving Slushie a cookie. She was acting calm as usual, but inside she was very shocked by Jona’s manners. Slushie hopped up onto Cherry’s shoulder and looked in amazement at the necklace. “I guess we should be going, I would love to challenge an actual gym down in...” Cherry refers to a Town Map she got in the PokeMart. “Rustboro City!” Cherry exclaims.

She refers to her map again as she sees the giant forest in front of the group, smiling as she saw Shroomish as a listed Pokémon that lived there.

“I...I would also love to catch a Shroomish in the forest if nobody minds waiting for me as I do that.” Cherry says. “I never caught a Pokémon before, so a more experienced trainer by my side would be ideal, if nobody minds.” she explains.

Cherry, confused by all the sudden drama, makes her way into Petalburg City, keeping a distance from the sleeping Jona. "Wow...this town is so...beautiful." Cherry remarked as she looked around. She saw a small sign by the Pokemon Center. "Petalburg City- Where people mingle with nature." Cherry read aloud. "What a charming description for a city!" she said. Slushie was jumping by the Pokemon Gym, now. "Slushie, you're not strong enough for that gym yet..." Cherry sighed. Slushie, clearly not phased, just got antsy and wanted to battle some trainers he could beat. "Enjoy this, Slushie! It's very different from Odale Town." Cherry said as she flipped her hair in the incoming breeze.
