When they were a fair distance away, completely out of sight and sound and whatever other detection methods of anyone related to the government or the scientists, Athena carefully put Kaori down and then turned on Lucinda. "What do you think you were doing!?" She was extremely frustrated because she'd tried to erase the memories of the scientists, but they seemed to have some sort of mental shield. So now they would surely report all this to the government, and the government would start searching.

What were her options anyways? Have the forest burn down, possibly with her in it, or trust someone who could very likely be trying to get her killed? Why did she get herself into this situation in the first place!? She threw her last dagger at Chrono, forcing him to move to one side. Then she leapt at him, falling short on purpose, and began running in the direction of the nearest water source - the river she always went to before a heist.

"Thanks, I've got to go." Athena hastily waved goodbye and leaped off the roof, throwing her jacket off in the process. Her silvery white wings shone in the sunlight, spreading them, she gave a powerful downstroke, and soared off into the clouds. Sewer#17, sewer #17, sewer #17... Almost overshooting the entrance, she made a quick scan of the nearby area, no people, and dived, cutting her fingers on the sewer grate in her rush to open it. Finally managing to tug it open, she leapt in, and continued flying. In theory, the sewers would be too narrow to fly through, but Athena was a trained professional. Self-trained, of course, but still.

She sensed thoughts nearby, and soon could hear voices. They were talking about a girl they'd just caught... A girl who sounded like Kaori... It had to be her! Athena began flying faster, almost getting sliced in half on an electric wire stretched across the length of the narrow tunnel she'd just entered. Her stumbling stop was clumsy and uncontrolled, quite unlike her usual self.

Normally, she wouldn't really mind the fire, she would just fly away and leave everything and everyone to burn. Happened before. But this time, Ayran could fly, she didn't know if her injured wing could support her weight, and this was the forest they were talkign about. The last natural forest in the whole of the Ruins. It's destruction would mean... A lot of things. None of them good. The wildfire was already spreading fast, burning down the trees, scaring away the animals. But the only way to contain a fire like this was with technology only the gangs possessed.

	Athena dodged most of the flames, but a stray one set part of her jacket alight. Hurriedly putting it out, she was relived that it hadn't burned her wing. But it had burned off a tiny chunk of the piece of fabric covering her right wing. Scrambling to cover it, she pulled out some bandages, her precious tiny supply, and stuck it on hapzardly. 	Athena had had enough surprises for today. Even the Lady in Red has a limit, you know! She dodged the infection, swiping at it with a dagger she carried. ~~She carries a lot of weapons...~~ Which promptly rusted. She threw it at the infection before the strange blackish rust could reach her hands. [Read more]
