Blake RivereCool! Now everyone is talking about murdering the flying water worm. They picked a random page from their grimoire and opened it. "Do any of us have some sort of ranged weapon or something?" Blake quietly said. "We could, like, weaken them from a distance. Maybe shoot them in the eye." They looked around themselves. "Or we could go somewhere more advantageous... that's probably a better idea." [Read more] |

Blake RivereYohan, Alaire, Percival. Got it. This was honestly pretty fun, even though they weren't a big fan of video games or anything. And Perceval was kinda weird too, but every good game needs a Perceval-like character anyway. Mehhh, he gives neutron star "Alright, then. Let's go." Blake perked up. "Soooo... do we get to see the big flying wet snake now? And beat it up?" [Read more] |

DrakoronyaThe embodiment of darkness and arrogance, Drakoronya had long harbored a bitter envy towards the dragons who stood united against the Firefangs. Fueled by their insidious sense of entitlement and thirst for power, Drakoronya saw an opportunity in the chaos that had befallen the island. Their wings unfurled, casting a shadow over the land as they soared through the darkened skies. Drakoronya's malevolent flames flickered at the tip of their tail, a beacon of their corrupted power. They zeroed in on a random tree, because I have no idea what to post. With a deafening roar, they unleashed violet fire from their maw, scorching the bark and leaves with a malevolence that matched their soul. The flames danced and twisted, wrapping around the trunk and charring its bark. Drakoronya's malevolent power scorched the air, suffocating the once serene atmosphere with a tangible sense of malice. As the flames burned the tree's branches, its leaves withered and turned to ash. The once vibrant green transformed into a haunting gray. A wicked cackle escaped Drakoronya's jaws as they reveled in their destructive triumph. [Read more] |

Blake RivereWell, this was an easy pick. Odin was clearly far stronger than either of the other options, even though the Book of the Dead would fit them more in terms of aesthetic. The power of the Great Old Ones surely exceeds that of Odin, but Blake wasn't sure whether it referred to the Necronomicon or the Book written by the Ancient Egyptians. But then again, the Necronomicon was supposedly bound in human skin, not papyrus. They hesitantly tapped [Option 3- Venerable One-Eyed Elder] on the holographic window thing. They looked around a bit more. The fluffy thing was back, and so was another weird person. Blake decided to silently observe which is definitely not because their roleplayer is sleep deprived and have barely any creativity left. [Read more] |

Blake RivereOkay. So me, Elias, and the two other weird people are the only survivors. Good to know. They decided to momentarily take note of their belongings. "Lucky for you, pitiful mortals, the great constellations up above wish to sponsor you! Choose quickly. You have 5 minutes. Until then, goodbye~!" Great. So they had five minutes to pick something. They thought contemplatively while randomly flipping through their grimoire. It looked like the other people had already picked theirs anyway. The Scales of Wisdom... that had to be Libra, the seventh astrological sign in the zodiac. (Themis?) The Papyrus-Bound Book of the Dead... it was definitely Egyptian, if Blake remembered correctly. (Heka/Thoth?) The Venerable One-Eyed Elder... well, Odin was old and one-eyed. Definitely him. (Odin. Definitely) [Read more] |

Blake Rivere"Elias... you have a nice name!" They replied as they held his hand with their empty hand. "My name's Blake Rivere, it's nice to meet you~" They looked around. The killing seems to have calmed a bit. Blood was all over the floor (especially on the floor where the person that Blake pierced the aorta of). The sight was quite unusual, but proportionally unique to Blake. It wasn't every day that this happened, after all. "Hmm... the windows could be made of tempered glass. It's the type of glass that's hard to break, right?" They blinked. "So, what do you propose we do?" [Read more] |

Blake RivereOkay, great. Now I just gotta...get off this train. Somehow. Looking into one of the windows, they noticed the vibrant red sky fading into darkness. In the edge of their eye they saw what appeared to be some sort of oversized slimy snake. Must be that sea serpent the hologram thingy mentioned. The windows seem smashable too, I guess.. Turning back to the inside of the train, they saw Elias kill another person with his pen. Well, he's probably met the first condition already. Might as well ask. They put on a shy smile as they approached the golden-haired man. "Hi! Umm, wanna, like, team up and escape this train?" They began, their green eyes meeting Elias'. "The train's stopped, I think. We could... break some windows, I guess. Crawling out of one doesn't seem too hard." [Read more] |

Blake RivereBlake narrowly avoided the blade of someone's knife as they ducked down. Oh great, I'm probably a target. Dammit. Swiftly, they withdrew their knife from a pocket in their jacket and stabbed the person closest to them in the chest. The knife pierced his aorta with perfect precision through pure luck (or eldritch intervention, whichever one you prefer). I'll just count this off as a blood offering. Hopefully he's not a heretic. They thought as they wiped the blood off their knife on the clothes of the person they just stabbed, who was flailing around aggressively and screaming swears (aggressively). [Read more] |

Blake RivereBlake watched wide-eyed at the fluffy creature, then at the headless, bloodied corpse of the man. Their emerald-green eyes sparkled as they stared curiously. Well, this'll be fun. They thought, gaze still set on the headless body. Luckily their grimoire was untouchable by anything other than themselves, otherwise the blood stains would be impossible to clean out, and they'd have to get themselves another one. That would be unfortunate. A holographic window appeared before them as their interest in the corpse died down. So. They had to kill someone, and otherwise they'd die. Nice game, They thought. Promoting murder was always nice. Blake looked around the train. There were a bunch of easily murderable people near them. Well most of the passengers were taller than them, but it'd probably be no problem for Ayame anyway. A sea serpent flying out of a tear through reality would be cool. Constellations...those are cool too. I mean, Ayame's title is "The Shambler from the Stars" anyway... there are probably other stuff out there. In space. [Read more] |

Blake RivereBlake was, as usual, absentmindedly reading through their grimoire. The two new pages that manifested overnight didn't have any eye-catching details. Seriously, why does every witness' experience have to be barely any different? I mean, not like they wouldn't be a mind-expanding experience. Just... not fun to read. The white-haired teenager couldn't help but be reminded of a particular vampire as the vibrant crimson light illuminated the words on their grimoire. They barely noticed the cease in movement, yet their attention was caught by an...odd voice. One they'd never heard of for sure. "Hello, hello, humans!" Blake turned their head to look at the source of it. It was white and fluffy, with small horns and a sinister smirk. Looks normal, he thought. Being interested in the eldritch meant knowing the existence of weird looking creatures. This one definitely wasn't one he'd seen or read before, but its existence in books were probably lost to time anyways. Probably. [Read more] |

A Guide to Ōmagatoki (Basic Overview): Show
hidden content
Welcome to Mafia- I mean Ōmagatoki, a
variant of the classic party game Mafia. In this roleplay,
each character will be secretly assigned a role aligned with either
the Humans or the
Yōkai. The Yōkai meet together and eliminate one
Human member per night while
masquerading as ordinary players throughout the day, while the
Humans must get together to
eliminate the genuine Yōkai before
they are outnumbered.
The roleplay alternates between two stages: night and day. During the night, the Yōkai-aligned members discreetly conspire among themselves to kill a Human while devising a strategy for the day. During the day, the entire cast of surviving players debate who among them is aligned with the Yōkai and vote to exterminate (kill) someone. The roleplay alternates between these two phases until either all of the Yōkai are eliminated (the Humans win), or the number of remaining Yōkai-aligned members is greater than or equal to the number of remaining Human members (the Yōkai win). The Roles: || A small notice: || Once all 10 character slots are filled, you (or rather, your character) will be assigned a Role from the list below in private Palpad. You may reveal or lie about your role at any time you wish. Show

Human-aligned Roles
The Civilians are regular people that have been kidnapped to the Otherworld from mysterious forces. They have no special ability. The Rokurokubi, despite being a yōkai, is friendly towards humans and poses no threat. They will see themselves as a regular Civilian, but rituals will see them as Yōkai-aligned. The Author is a person skilled in the arts of literature. They possess a Will that may be written in at any time, and the contents of the Will will be revealed to all characters upon their death. Additionally, their killer's name will also be included. The Miko is a person trained in the art of divination and worship of the Gods. They are able to perform a ritual and Divine a character's alignment each night. Finally, the Komainu is a guardian spirit taking the form of a human. Their power of warding off evil spirits allows them to protect a player from the Yōkai nighttime kill each night. Yōkai-aligned Roles The Jorōgumo is a powerful yōkai that takes the form of a beautiful human. They may Beckon a character each night. The Jorōgumo will bring the last Beckoned character with them upon their death. The Kitsune is a mysterious yōkai that has many abilities, one of which being the ability to create illusions. They may make a Yōkai-aligned role appear as Human-aligned for the rest of the game once per game. The Kishin is the mastermind behind the abduction of the Humans. As a wrathful spirit, they grant the Yōkai night meeting the ability to kill one character per night. The Yōkai night meeting will not be able to kill upon their death. The list of roles are below: Civilian (4) Rokurokubi (1) Author (1) Miko (1) Komainu (1) Jorōgumo (1) Kitsune (1) Kishin (1) "The Rules": (not to be confused with the Roles) Show

1. Hate the characters, not the
roleplayers. Be respectful.
2. Each post must have a minimum of 3-4 sentences or 1-2 paragraphs written in Third-person perspective, unless a valid reason (i.e. asking for character interactions) is provided, or you have proven to be able to write sufficiently when necessary. 3. Cursing at a minimum. Alternatives are allowed. "[Gosh darn] it!" or "[Redacted] it!" are both acceptable. 4. I am the admin. The admin is necessary to the game. Respect my power. 5. Any back door detective work, i.e. separate Palpads and PMs, are not allowed. 6. If/when you die, do not reveal any information you have obtained from your role. I will personally reveal your character's role to everyone. You may spectate and interact with the characters as ghosts if you wish. 7. Ghosts may only interact with other ghosts, and cannot interact with alive characters. They (or their roleplayer) may not share any information obtained before their death either. 8. Any additional characters, such as characters that do not have a role and have no involvement in the strategic part of Ōmagatoki, must be cleared out with me first. 9. Respect the rules. 10. Misfortuna will enforce those rules for me because, as the past few rounds of Ōmagatoki show, I am completely incapable of doing so. "The Characters": (11/11 slots filled) Show

Blake Rivere | The [Esotericist](i think i'm done) Show
hidden content
Blake's appearance is surprisingly youthful and childish, with messy, slightly curly white hair, shimmering, curious emerald-green eyes, and pale skin from basically only going out at night. They wear a fitted black turtleneck underneath a cozy maroon sweater, and also a stylish black denim jacket that they keep unbuttoned, paired with skinny black jeans and long dark gray socks. They wear a black metallic hairclip in the shape of a crescent moon along with silver earrings as well. Completing their look, they wear white high-top sneakers. They hold a mysterious locked grimoire with them at all times, its contents supposedly being related to forbidden eldritch knowledge. Blake possesses a deep fascination with the eldritch and occult, their curiosity often getting the better of themselves. In their free time, they can often be found engrossed in whatever eldritch tome of grimoire they have on hand, usually the one that they keep around all the time. Despite their interest in those rather unconventional and esoteric topics, Blake still maintains a friendly and cheerful demeanor, not afraid to speak his mind (usually) and ask questions. However, Blake's shyness often holds them back from openly sharing their passions with others. They fear being judged or misunderstood by those who may not share their interests. [𝙳𝙴𝚇] - 8 [𝙲𝙾𝙽𝚂𝚃] - 10 [𝙸𝙽𝚃] - 15 [𝚆𝙸𝚂] - 11 From an early age, Blake was drawn to the mysteries beyond human comprehension, delving into the realms of eldritch stories. Their parents, unable to understand or accept Blake's interests and their nonbinary identity, responded with disapproval and disdain (why are all my enby ocs' parents unsupportive). At school, Blake faced bullying from their peers, further isolating them from finding acceptance and understanding. One fateful day, driven by their insatiable curiosity, Blake decided to attempt a summoning ritual to connect with the eldritch realm (this is starting to sound like an chuuni anime plot) during a full moon. They really did not expect it to work at all, yet something manifested in their hands - a grimoire. Starting out with only a few pages, it expanded each day, revealing the secrets of the eldritch realm curtain by curtain. Shortly after that, Blake received a coveted invitation to Miskatonic University — a beacon of knowledge and understanding for those who delve into the mysteries of the eldritch. However the apocalypse began and stuff and they never got to attend blah blah blah end of backstory i only got 6 hours of sleep Blake has the capability of summoning their assigned eldritch mercenary, Ayame, for a limited amount of time (the entire night if he is summoned during a full moon) by reciting an eldritch summoning ritual. “Tibi, magnum Innominandum, signa stellarum, nigrarum et bufaniformis Sadoquae sigillum…” At higher levels the summoning becomes permanent instead. They also gain greatly accelerated physical regeneration and become able to wield eldritch magic (mainly elemental and light magic) to some degree, as well as gain greatly increased eldritch understanding for a short amount of time after the summoning. Information about Ayame is below: Nothingness is the end, yet fear not of it, for it is the end of sadness and suffering. The [Esotericist]'s [INT] stat is increased by 50% when reading an eldritch tome, allowing them to memorize and comprehend them to a far greater extent. During a full moon, solar eclipse, blood moon, or any celestial anomaly involving the moon, their [INT] and [WIS] stats are both increased by 5 points, and any eldritch spells they cast will also have greater effects. So close, yet so far... Embrace nothingness with open arms, for salvation lies in nothingness. [Read more] |
