"Thank you Molly," Akane seemed a little more confident in tackling Jeremy's seasickness issue now that she had a little more knowledge on her figurative belt. She took the band and slipped it on one of Jeremy's wrists, silently wishing it would kick in very soon.

There was no stopping this one. The partially digested remains from breakfast that day came screaming up Jeremy's esophagus before he even had a chance to fight back. Akane continued rubbing his back as he threw up, sympathy written in her eyes.  After two agonizing minutes, Jeremy slumped over the railing in clear exhaustion, but his innards refused to calm down.  His stomach grumbled irately in response to the nausea and having been violently emptied by it, but the dizziness had passed for the time being.

When Jeremy had finished Akane gently steered him away from the railing to one of the beams sticking out of the ship, this he leaned against and fiddled with the bracelet until it was comfortable around his wrist. As did this, Akane found a decent-sized bucket and set it beside him, "Just in case."

Star frowned and took the box seeing the contents inside. Another challenge with short notice, She wasn't unfamiliar with these kinds of things, in fact, people did this to her all the time and she had grown used to it. But yet she still had a question. She looked up at Sage and asked, "If I may ask, why did you wait to fix this until now?"

Moona looked at Molly, a little worried. "So we can't save his arm?"

Akane and Jeremy were locked in their own conversation, or partial conversation anyway. It was mostly a battle between Jeremy trying to keep his stomach down and his stomach trying to remove alleged toxins from his body.

The whole time Akane gently rubbed his back speaking gently. "You'll feel better when you get off the boat I'm sure. I don't think we have anything on hand to help ease the nausea though."

Hearing Sage's demand she looks up from what she had been working on to Sage herself. The project was already done and she was looking for something else to do, so why not? "I can help Sage, what is it that you need to be done?"

One thing that hadn't really been mentioned was in front of the helm there was a small map of the whole arena, they could see little islands with labels and their own boat, which was headed for the light green island labeled "plains." Charlie pointed at the map, hoping that Faith would at least understand what Charlie couldn't say.

Hearing the word "seasickness" Akane looked up and stopped organizing to help Jeremy. Jeremy looked at the bottle with wide eyes as his face notably lost color, the smell nearly making him give in to the whims of his stomach. Thinking quickly, Akane took the bottle and set it aside with the promise that Jeremy would eventually get to it. Well, maybe not with how Jeremy was barely keeping it together. Consuming anything at this point wasn't really considered to be a possiblity, at least not until his stomach settled some.

Akane placed a hand on his back and began rubbing it back gently. Jeremy closed his eyes as his organs continued to twist sickeningly inside him, but the feeling of Akane's warm hand against his back eased that somewhat. Continuing the impromptu massage Akane murmured gently to him.

As the last of their team got on the boat The rope holding it to the dock was untied quickly by Charlie and Faith now changing into a dophin started to pull the boat away from the golden horn. Charlie quickly ran back to the helm of the ship and started to steer it, even though she hadn't done this before, it felt oddly natural.

With that, the boat set off for a diffrent locaion, and Jeremy immediately found himself at the railing.

~~~~~~
. . .
~~~~~~

No more than an hour had passed in the very least. Akane and Tayla were rooting through their bags trying to organize as best as they can. Moona and Molly were looking over Ibaraki's arm with worry and Charlie was still steering the ship.

Then there was Jeremy.

“. . .Uhhhnn. . . .this . . .sucks. . .” Jeremy grimaced as another wave of nausea overtook him.  Crumpled against the side railing of the deck, he placed a hand over his churning stomach and tried to keep his gaze fixed on the horizon. Fresh air and watching the sea line was supposed to help with seasickness, but obviously not in this case.

The hand that had been holding his stomach flew to his mouth as his muscles tensed.  He gripped the railing tightly with his other hand, leaning over it and fighting to keep down what his body was so desperate to reject. He struggled as he continued to keep from retching.  Several minutes passed before the nausea finally subsided, leaving Jeremy gasping for air.  He slowly lowered his forehead against the rail, indulging as the cool metal provided some relief.

"We're waiting for Moona to come back with Ibaraki, Cree's going to be following us in the ocean," Akane admitted. "After that, we at least need to put some difference between us and the other tributes."

(I'll be back on later tonight)

The group shook their head. "No, we're all good," Akane stated. Her eyes scanned the area for any sign of the other small child, she finally spotted him. She pointed his location out to Moona who kicked her feet off the ground and flew in his direction.

"Ibaraki!" Moona flew down to the child and upon seeing two bigger females and a single male heading towards them, Moona put herself between the child and the incoming threat. Spreading her wings out wide to block Ibaraki's sight Moona recited a short chant:

Gods of Sun and Light I beg of you,
heed my words and make my path bright! Flatlux!

Light flashed from her palms and the assailants were blinded for the moment. Moona then ushered Ibaraki towards the boat the rest of them were at. "Akane said Cree would be following us by the ocean. I think it means he's going to swim near our boat?"

Before Jeremy can respond Tayla is nearly tackled over by Charlie, the small but child wrapping her in a hug. Moona was waiting respectfully a short distance away and Akane was just climbing into the boat.

"We're still waiting on Molly and Ibaraki, I couldn't find them in the throng of fighting tributes. Cree's going to follow us in the water, and when I say that I mean he's going to swim. . .I guess," Akane stated as she gave Jeremy a nod in thanks. "We'll have to try to get situated until they arive."

9. 8. 7. 6. 5.

Akane and Jeremy nod, they had a plan, and though the arena was different than what they had hoped for, not much of their said plan had changed.

4. 3. 2. 1. . .

The gong sounds. Jeremy and Akane booked it for the golden horn, Jeremy got their first with Akane arriving shortly after him. Jeremy started rooting through the weapons and supplies, grabbing whatever he could carry while Akane did her best to protect him, keeping an eye on any tributes that were coming their way, which was a lot. A tall and intimidating-looking boy (Not Cree) lunged towards her with an ax raised but Akane blasts him a short distance away with a quick fire spell.

"Jere! We need to go, now!" Akane shouted, "Get a boat locked down, I'm going to find Charlie!" Jeremy nodded and bolted for the boats with an armful of assorted backpacks while Akane weaved through the tributes to find the mute child.

Moona had jumped off her plate into the air at the gong, her angel wings carrying her above the throng of fighting tributes. She swooped down and managed to snatch two backpacks before she was forced into the air again.

Charlie had weaved around most of the tributes and managed to snag a small bag when the spear whizzed by her head, missing her by inches. Charlie jumped back and turned to find Tiffani, eyes widened as she locked eye contact with her. Before Tiffani could finish off Charlie Akane sent a tower of fire at her. Charlie climbed up on Akane's back and managed to flag Tayla down. The three bolted over to the boats where Jeremy was at.

Jeremy had managed to get a good-sized boat, not too large and hardy looking with sails. He dropped the backpacks by the helm and waited fo the others. To be honest, he didn't know how to drive a ship, never even set foot on one before now.

(The Arena, hope none of your characters get seasick)

49. 48. 47. 46. 45.

Charlie blinked and looked around. The first thing she had processed was the smell of salt, then she could hear waves crashing upon their plates. Just to make sure, when the next wave splashed against the back of her plate she managed to catch a little of the water in her hand, she gingerly dipped her finger into it and tasted it. Saltwater. It was the ocean. In front of her was the golden horn, leading to it were wooden boards formed into a dock. Actually around her was a dock, but beyond that was the ocean as far as the eye could see. Ibaraki was on her left and Moona on her right.

44. 43. 42.

Once she had regerstered the arena, she turned her gaze to the golden horn. The Cornucopia with tons of things spilling from it: weapons, fire starters, medicine, and more that Akane couldn't name. Much to her relief, Jeremy was to her right.

41. 40.

The first thing Moona had registered after getting her bearings of what she had to deal with was the slightest rocking underneath her plate. The whole dock was being rocked gently by the calm ocean waves, like a buoy. Just behind the horn were medium-sized boats with sails, but she couldn't see much after. Well, at least this was an improvement compared to last year's arena. . .

Jeremy was fidgeting in front of a full-length mirror. His nerves clenched in his stomach. Food must stay down. Meanwhile Akane sat and bounced her leg in unease, her stylist took her hands in his own which helped the nerves some. Finally, a woman's voice stated that it was time for launch.

Moona stepped into her tube and the glass shut behind her, sealing her from her stylist, who nodded at her as if to encourage her. Then it started to rise, for about fifteen seconds Moona was in the dark before she was pushed up and into the arena. She struggled to see for a moment, blinking rapidly, but then she could see.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Claudius Templesmith's voice booms around the tributes through hidden speakers. "Let the Five Hundred Fiftyth Hunger Games begin!"

60 seconds to get a look at the tributes, standing an equal distance from the golden horn, the Cornucopia, that was filled with supplies that would keep them alive. Stepping a second before the time was up would mean death, as the landmines around the metal plates would go off.

(Arena will be put in next post)

As the night came to a close the tributes were ushered back to their rooms.

*Time skip to dawn*

Each tribute was roused by his or her mentor and given part of what they'd be wearing in the arena to change into: Tawny shorts, a light gray/cream* tank top, a sturdy brown belt, leather boots with steel toe and a narrow flexible rubber sole with treads which would be good for running over skin-tight socks. Once dressed, they were sent to hovercraft, and once seated they had something injected into their arm. Their tracker someone said.

They were then transported to the arena's underground paths that would lead each tribute to their individual chamber, or the Launch Room. They would be the only ones to use this room. Once there, they were met by his or her stylist and were each given a thin hooded jacket that fell to their thighs.

Now they just had to wait for the call. The call to be put in the worst few moments of their life.

(* = Boys get light gray and the girls get cream)

Moona looks up at Ceasar and he can see tears threatening to spill, her voice is barely above a whisper, like a light breeze through the trees. "To go home and be with my mother." It is clear the child isn't just heartbroken, but very, very homesick. And she had every right to be. She'd been promised to return home and never compete again, but now even that had been yanked away from her already fragile heart.

"Something with plant life, it would be a nice change from last year's. Anything would probably be better than last year's arena now that I think about it. . ." Moona looked at her hands, and just for a moment she swore she saw blood on her hands, but when she blinked it was gone. It was just an illusion. You're okay. You're not in there anymore.

Moona nodded, her wings had mostly folded up as she tried to get comfortable, she wasn't quite used to sitting in chairs with her wings this big. "It is. We're told that if we win we don't have to go back, but now I'm going back." She doesn't sound angry, she sounded more hurt and confused among all things. Though, it was noted that her words cause some people in the crowd to get a bit angry because her words were true. "So were we all lied to or. . . ?"

As her name was called, the young angel girl walked onto the stage for a second time. The feeling of Deja vu was very strong as it swirled around her. Yet she walked right to Ceasar as if it was the first time being called up, her wings were big enough to wrap themselves around her if she needed. But for now, they were slightly spread as if she was getting ready to fly away at any moment.

So he's super strong then? Akane wondered, it wouldn't be so bad. "Hey, that was really neat." Akane praised, though she was sure it wasn't needed. "So you're ablitiy is super strength then? That's pretty cool."

"Ladies and gentlemen, here's Faith!" Ceasar called out and the crowd roared.

Akane was leaning against one of the walls and Jeremy was sitting next to her, both were a little dazzled about what had happened, but that's what happens when you bring small-town people to a huge city. . .

Cesar called out the next name, "Ibaraki."

Akane watched the child walk towards the stage. "Good luck!" She called out encouragingly.

Akane watched as Ace went and deliberately went up to one of the two bouncers and punched him before both ran after Ace. Akane didn't have much time to wonder however as Akane's name was called by Ceasar. Giving Jeremy a final hand squeeze for comfort, she dropped it then she walked out. She had a very humble angle, a girl like her doing this well.

When her time was up Jeremy was called up right after. He was a little more modest and Ceasr did try to press about his relation triangle, but Jeremy ignored it and stuck to his angle. Eventually his time was up as well and Ceasar called out the next tirbute.

"Cree"
