Kanji kept on glaring at the missy, even as she apologized with that stupid smile on her face. She even stretched out her hand for him and then their eyes met. Shock quickly changed her features replacing her nervous happiness, which looked awfully funny to Kanji. Even so he didn't budge from his spot nor lighten up his grip on the wriggling animal. The cat meowed unable to get free and immediately grabbed both of their attention.

"What are you doing with that cat?" Kanji slowly lifted his eyes to meet the girls serious face that seemed keen on poking holes all over him. He let out a huff, returning the stern stare. "It is none of your business! The cat is mine." As if to prove the point Kanji stroked the cat only for it to meow in a higher pitch. Kanji's eyes widened a bit at that and he turned the cat over in his arms to get a better look.

Only then did he notice the blood stain on his shirt as well as on the cats behind thigh. The cat most likely got hurt when it dropped on top of the dog, he decided somewhere at the back of his mind. Seeing the open wound brought panic, he almost toppled over when he rushed back on his feet before breaking into a sprint for a second time. He didn't even bother to give the missy another glance.

Kanji dashed to a vets house he knew very well. He made a few hasty knocks on the door then waited till a browned haired woman open it. He didn't even have to say a word, as soon as her soft eyes landed on the animal in his grasp she let him in. She took the injured cat into the next room, leaving him to wait in the living room by himself.

Kanji silently watched from the balcony how all of the original duos split up in a search for a new partner. He wanted to laugh in their faces - they obviously didn't have a clue on what they were doing. Being able to wield a weapon wasn't an easy task, sure sometimes people just clicked, but mostly you had to take the time to try ans match your soul wavelengths with each other to be sure you couldn't work in a team. At least that's how his previous class had worked.

Unwillingly, he noticed the missy going around and trying out weapons. Nether managed to tune in with her Soul which didn't surprise him at all. People whom were similar to each other usually never worked out, you needed opposites for a strong team. But those whom were extremely different weren't able to match with her ether. He saw the guy that had previously scolded him try his luck with the missy. He appeared to be a crossbow. But the missy couldn't hold him ether, even from here he could see the ice covering her hands where the two made contact.

But he also saw some impressive meisters. One of them didn't seem to any have trouble matching his wavelengths to weapons, except a few whom looked really gloomy. He liked that guy alongside a few others. Kanji felt his hands itch, oh how he wanted to try them out. But that wasn't for today, he didn't feel like facing the professor. The weapon also saw some students going to have their names written down as a future pair. He only hoped it still wasn't the final cut. After all, what if the students that were left wouldn't be able to match? They would need to break up someone to find a partner for all.

When Kanji had made his decision, he walked back into the main building making his way outside. Once again he didn't bother to hurry favoring the slow pace. He walked around the streets of Death city, going home through the same route he had come. But then he heard a barking dog. A few quick steps later he saw the angry dog yapping on a kitten atop a trash can in an ally. He was about to go and chase the animal away when the kitten slipped and fell right into the others mug. The cat bolted away with the dog on its tail. Without even thinking he ran after them catching the cat in his arms and running off from the persistent canine. His escape abruptly ended with a collision with a solid body. Luckily he managed to protect the kitty from any serious damage at the cost of his butt. When Kanji finally looked up at the person whom blocked his path he could only glare at the missy's face, still cradling the kitten to his chest.

I'm a fan of Thylacine, though in this case I don't think it's fitting. I'd go with gembound most likely.

Kanji kept walking not really looking where he went. He didn't have anywhere to hurry, no one was waiting for him back home, nor was there business to be taken care of. So he could walk at his own pace as long as his path didn't cross with the current of students walking outside. While walking he thought about the other meisters of his class, mostly focusing on the male part of them. One had to become his meister, he was sure of that.

Right now was a good opportunity to see what they were made of, the 'partner tryouts' was the perfect chance to show off their abilities. With that in mind, Kanji changed his direction moving up a flight of stairs. He knew the ideal place to watch the training, had been there more than once. The balcony was easy to locate, yet people, especially the ones below, hardly ever noticed its existence.

Kanji went near the decorated edge and sat down on the floor rather than leaning on the safeguard. He didn't want to get noticed in his hiding spot in case someone did look his way by accident. The gaps between the poles that made up the safeguard where wide enough for him to have a nice view of the backyard, but still be safely hidden.

Even from here he could hear the professors voice, raised so that all of the students could hear. He snorted at the promised punishment. When did detention ever fix someone? When did it have some positive fruit? Never, that's when. Did he really think that that would make him raise his hand in the future? It certainly wouldn't. Though he could use that time to suggest pairing him up with anyone that caught his eye today. Kanji was quite confident in his ability to detect the perfect partner for himself, rather than taking someones leftovers.

Kanji wanted to burst in laughter when the girl didn't even notice his feet and went down with a loud thud. The professor came running to her aid, guiding her up. Kanji almost felt his jaw drop when he noticed the missy's tears. She was no meister material, why was she even allowed to join the academy? A smirk graced his features when he saw the missy's eyes looking at his feet and slowly traveling up to meet his own stare. Oh, now it seemed anger clouded her mind and it only amused the weapon more.

''I can't believe you fell so low to do something so childish,'' the girl firmly stated as if Kanji honestly cared about her opinion. Kanji noticed the other students giving the two weird looks, most likely they understood whom was the real culprit, but he didn't care about that ether. "No offence, missy, but you're the only one falling around here," Kanji bit back, but the girl was already leaving the classroom.

Kanji was about to follow her lead when another weapon blocked his path. "What is up with you, picking on a poor girl like that on the first day here, too. Don't think you can get away with anything you do." Mattie, a foot taller boy with a fine figure, light brown hair and blue eyes, scolded Kanji in the professors place. He poked at Kanji's chest while speaking in a low tone. Kanji glared at the other weapon, but didn't say anything, opting to push the guy out of his way. Mattie allowed this, following Kanji's retreating back with an icy stare.

Kanji stuffed his hands in his pockets, his joy gone for now. He walked past their teacher, allowing to be counted in. However he didn't wait until the man was finished, he just kept going down the hall. The professor was busy, so slipping away wasn't a problem. The other kids saw him go by, but just like him didn't care. It's not like he had a partner he was leaving behind. The missy had already proven that she failed in all aspects of being a good meister.

Kanji felt great hate burning in the pit of his stomach for the new professor. He surely wasn't suited for the job. An actual professional would have noticed him in a second, true, but he still despised the way he treated them. Did he see them as a bunch of snot-nosed kids? Was he gonna draw flowers and butterflies on their tests? Reward the with sweets? That only made his glare more heated.

Everyone was starting to stand up and go out of the class as ordered. But Kanji wasn't so sure if he should follow suit. Jumping out the window felt like a great idea, skipping a lesson or two never hurt. But that could be a bit too eye-catchy and risky. He had much better chances running off after he stepped out to the hall. With that in mind, he rose from his seat, but didn't hurry to go out the door just yet.

His hate wasn't only focused on their poor choice of a professor, the missy also held a special place in his heart. he waited till the little girl walked by him and at the very last moment stuck out his foot before hers. Tripping someone over was considered childish, he knew that well. However their teacher wished to treat them as ones, so he had no trouble to act as a one.

Kanji's smirk only widened when his eyes met with the girls from before. But the girl just send an evil grin right back at him, forcing his brows to knit in confusion. What did she have to be smug about? She was just as single as he was, but unlike him, she cared about it. It shined all the same to him, though, he was the only one allowed to send looks. The missy was putting forth so much effort, yet it payed as well as just sitting there being bored, pretty much what the weapon was doing.

Out of nowhere she passed yet another smirk to him, like what gives? Why was she suddenly feeling so highly? Kanji watched her as she got up with gusto, all happy with her petty self, just to stiffen again while looking around. The weapon let out a spray of saliva as he tried to hold in a laugh, it seemed the missy only know realized how bleak her situation was. He kept analyzing her, the amusement never leaving his. She tossed around, trying to come to a quick decision, so lost, so simple. It actually surprised Kanji that she went for the actual weapon and not the other meister.

Like a predator he watched the two last meisters struggle to get the last weapon, somehow he missed the fact that the loser would end up with him, too caught up in his glee. The females rushed, avoiding other students as well as furniture in their way. Both of them sure put up a fight and somewhere inside he felt a little insulted. Clearly, he was the superior weapon; he was just stronger, but had more experience as well. Not to mention the guy looked like a coward. In the end the pompous missy won the race, being a little more athletic, maybe a little too desperate.

It seemed the cornered weapon wasn't buying her nice act, not even trying to reach for her hand. Oh, how he wished he could see the missy's face right now,how the realization slowly settled in. Yes, no one wanted to pair up with her, she'd be all alone for this year. As if on cue the other meister finally made her way to the frozen two, no longer in a hurry. She just snatched the weapon and walked away. Kanji continued to look at her as she made her way back to sit down, how she fixated the guy with a longing stare.

However Kanji's little show had to come to an end as the professor spoke up. He took his eyes off the missy to address their new teachers words. They were told to raise their hands if they were still single. At that moment it finally sank in: the two would have to pair up. The weapons eyes went wide and he quickly looked back at the last meister. No. No way would he team up with the missy. The girl would be useless with him, she was a tiny stick! In no way, shape or from was she a suited master to a weapon of his size! Kanji lowered his head to the table, folding his hands in front of him to stand out less. If anything now he wasn't as noticeable.

Obviously he didn't put up his hand, nor a single hair. Surely, it wasn't possible for everyone to find a partner in such a short time span. Getting a partner was supposed to take time, investigation and communication! Not just a single approach of 'do you want to'. If they really just went with whomever said yes first, there was no way they'd be a successful team.

My next shiny was a shiny Swablu, whom I got for 50 ghost gems and 50 fire gems from Pein. They were collecting the two kinds of gems and trading their extra shinies for them, I picked a Swablu from their trading box. I might try getting another one.

I'd say go with a Mirror Skink/Butterfly/Basic or Stained or Runes or UD.
Spinner/Skink/UD works perfectly as well.

Kanji froze up when he heard a man clear his throat, usually that meant he was in some serious trouble. This time, however, proved to be different as the new professor stuck to ignoring their little pointless argument. Kanji listened to the guy holding hid breath and staying still in his spot. After a bit he took a quick peek at Mr.Candeles, he looked just as nervous as the weapon felt, just Kanji knew better than to show it off so obviously.

It was Kanji's first time hearing about this new studying system, even if he had been here the previous year. He wasn't someone to care about rules and other official things, so it hardly caught his interest. He stayed frozen solid with his back to the teacher till he finally finished his boring introductional speech. When everyone buzzed back to life trying to scout out their future partner, the weapon finally allowed himself to relax. He flexed his shoulders wishing away his powers. His target had moved away in their search for a comrade, so the hard steel of his fists was no longer needed.

He crossed his hands, not really feeling the thrill of this hunt. He had been quite happy with his past partner and looking for a new one seemed like a waste of precious time. But they had moved on so Kanji would have to as well. He used his sensitive sense of smell to tell apart weapons from the meisters. It might sound as an impossible feat, but it actually wasn't that hard. Most weapons smelled just as their weapon forms of steel, wood, leather or some other similar material. Of course he didn't always get it right, some weapons had a very weak smell and there were meisters that had a lot of interactions with said material. But still, that made the hunt of a partner so much faster.

Kanji moved around the room a little, then decided to sit this one out. So far anyone he asked to pair up had rejected him without even giving a reason. Not that it really mattered to him, how could you even know right off the bat that your Soul Wavelengths were compatible? What if a rejection happened? Kanji could only grumble as he sat with his head in his hand. Then he noticed that a certain missy was having as tough a time and sent a smirk her way.

Kanji wasn't bothered in the least by the angry looks the girl kept shooting his way. In fact they made hi feel prouder, stronger. He watched her as she stared up at him with disgust before getting up, brushing off imaginary dust. It took him by surprise when she lifted her hand up, palm open, and hit him across his face. Hard. The blow snapped his head to the right. The weapon didn't even blink as the harsh sting settled, a red hand-shaped print appearing where they made contact.

Actually Kanji felt a little sting in his left eye from the force, but quickly blinked it away. He clenched his hand into a fist so he wouldn't touch his painful cheek. He turned back to her at the girls snappy comment. She even dared to sit back down as if nothing happened! Now his other hand also formed a fist, this day won't end well for this bratty girl. He was so furious he didn't even notice the teacher entering the room.

"We aren't done yet. In fact, not even close to it!" Kanji barked at her, his knuckles darkening as they got covered in steel. "When I'm finished with you, you'll be in a hospital bed for months!" he bared his teeth in a grimace, the weapon's nose high in the air, while his eyes were locked on the girl comfortably sitting in his spot. The threat was heard by the whole class as it had gone quiet when the teacher came in. Too bad Kanji didn't notice maybe he would've managed to save himself some future hardships.

Lancelot never got to say his answer to Zak as more people joined them in the hall. He had wished to express his greetings as well, but other seemingly appearing from nowhere, beat him to it. So he silently stood there ignored by the crowd. He didn't really mind listening to them, but this man known as Marcus was getting under his skin. How could one act so crudely? Where was his manners? He should receive a thoughtful lesson in public behavior and Lancelot tried very hard to still his hand on the scimitars handle.

But he didn't need to struggle for long. The two siblings brought up the upcoming meeting, so the crowd got a move on heading for it. He had no other choice but to follow them as he lacked the knowledge of the meetings whereabouts. But he did fall behind, Lancelot wanted to stay as polite about it as he could.

At the assembly he took one of the back rows. Lancelot carefully listened to every word, though he dislike quite a few things about the speech. The man didn't even introduce himself, nor said anything about what will they do now that they became the members of EPC. Would they get some training to see their level of skill? Any drills? Or would they actually be send to the battlefield on their first day? Oddly enough, no one gave those questions...

When the tour part finally came they were split into two groups. Sadly he wasn't in the same group as Zak. Their tour guide led them to the Training grounds first.
