"But Her Majesty is the Queen now." He mumbled, confused. "Even if she's a witch, she's still the Queen. Everyone loved the King so why don't they love the Queen? She seems nice enough... And I thought it was really cool when she turned you into a human, sir! Of course you look very pretty as a snake but it was really really impressive of Her Majesty to do that. She's really strong, isn't she, sir." His rambling thoughts were doing figure eights, never really staying on one subject for too long before leaping to another idea. Truly as much of a child mentally as he was physically.

Sou had never before seen the town so quiet. Usually when the boy went out on chores, the courtyard would be bright and lively, with shoppers milling around and merchants hawking their wares. But here Sou could scream at the top of his lungs and the only sound that would reply would be the low clopping of hooves on cobblestone streets and the echo of his own voice. Even the kindly old grandma who would always without fail give Sou a withered and dry yet no less delicious apple each time he came was no where in sight. A deep frown marred the child's usually cheerful face as he leaned to get a better look of his surroundings very nearly falling off the horse. "Where is everyone?" He voiced innocently, not quite understanding why when at such a peak time of the day there would be so little people.

Ibaraki had squirreled away under a corner, head tucked between trembling legs and sole arm covering exposed nape. The moment it was over, the child's eyes darted around trying to see what was going on. An earthquake was something that the child hadn't experienced before nor trained to keep safe in. Ibaraki had simply been staying the the corner that the child had claimed ever since the house had been built and stayed there simply watching. Just from observations, the group didn't seem terrible but the child was still reluctant to join them. In the end, they were all enemies. There could only be one winner and Ibaraki didn't want to be caught unawares when it was finally the child's turn to go.

The moment it stopped, Molly poked his head into the room from where he had pressed himself against the door frame. "Is everyone okay?" He called, ready to preform any first aid if needed.

@~Fahrenheit~

Many thanks for the codes!!

I'm most likely a mix between Hydro and Geo which is super interesting. I think getting a Geo vision would be what I'd want the most but Hydro aligns a lot more with my personality :p

In other news, I am now an official Kazuha haver and he is so so fun to play with. He's been especially helpful for gathering in enemies right after I stagger them with Zhongli's shield. I unfortunately hit hard pity at exactly 98 summons but I'm still happy with what I have!

I'm now saving for either Albedo re-run or any Inazuma characters that catch my eye! Hopefully some interesting Geo characters are introduced because I have a raging bias towards Geo if no one could tell :p

Not bothering to help, Ibaraki shuffled towards the sea's edge. Crouching down, the child kicked off useless shoes and dipped clawed toes into the salty water. A small cough bubbled up followed by another, the spit tasting distinctly salty. Really, the child was only waiting for Cree and following the other tribute around. Doing anything else just seemed much too risky and Ibaraki definitely didn't trust anyone else. Tayla maybe but to trust so many people was just asking for too much. The differences between them and the child were simply too much and Ibaraki couldn't trust someone that the child couldn't predict. It was just too risky. So Ibaraki stuck with what was trustworthy, waiting for Cree to emerge.

Ibaraki subtly shifted away, drawing lightly scraped knees up to appear smaller. "No thank you ma'am. Thank you for the offer though." Did these two not feel as if everything hurt? As if just taking in a breath was a struggle and each movement sent yet another hot bolt of pain running through their body? It was odd for the child to think that such people existed. Ibaraki knew that Dad had a lot of headaches that hurt a lot so the natural thought process for the child was that everyone experienced blinding pain whenever they went about their daily lives. To learn that there were outliers was a slight shock for the child. What was life like for them then? Probably a lot easier, Ibaraki supposed.

Molly hummed, fitting the newly made band around his own wrist first. As expected, the pressure had to be adjusted slightly but soon Molly was handing the second band over. "Put it on the other wrist. If you still feel sick, tell me and Ill see what else I can do." He instructed

Ibaraki blinked slowly, mulling over the question. It had hurt at first. And it hurt every time the curse ran its course, warping its vessel into various appearances, but it was something Ibaraki was used to. Loosing an arm, it was just like making the ugly things disappear. "No, ma'am." Was the answer the child settled on. "It hurts like it does with anyone. Dad says it gets worse when we grow up but he also says that I am really good with pain. Is that why you asked? Because you are scared that the pain is getting worse and it hurts? Maybe you should ask the pink haired sir. He seems to know a lot about medicine."

"First off I'd like to check in the band is putting even pressure on P6." Molly muttered, hands stitching together a second bracelet. "That's one of the two pressure points that you can find that helps alleviate motion sickness. The other one is ST36 and it's found on the shin. It's quite a bit harder to put pressure on through bands though given how the gastrocnemius moves and how frequently it does so P6 is much easier to stimulate than ST36." It seemed that his mumbles were more of a note to himself rather than explaining anything, terms thrown around without a care for the listener. "Jeremy, was it? Tell me if the pressure is centered around the flexor capri and flexor digitorium. The tendons on your inner arm. Three fingers down from the wrist."

"Not without pulling some physics defying stunts, no. Its too risky to preform such feats considering our situation. Please don't think badly of me, but my priority is not in one person but is the collective. If I heal the arm of one child, then I risk letting twenty two people die because I can not heal their subsequent wounds. Besides, there is a chance that if we amputate the arm, we may also remove the child's tracker." Molly replied, smiling apologetically. "Rest assured, the child won't die. It is a mystery, however, how you are still conscious despite having lost so much blood. Normally one would be passed out or in the very least dizzy from such wounds. Are all children such scientific mysteries? Perhaps I should keep an eye on our third little one." With that thought lingering in the air, Molly simply laughed and shifted to look at what was in the packs. What he had grabbed was full of fabrics meant for keeping people warm and he mentally did a fist pump. This was the best outcome, really, a pack that capitalized on his strengths. And Molly showed his proficiency with the cloth by weaving a spare shirt into an acupressure bracelet. Taking the woven bracelet, he adjusted the fibers as he tweaked the areas of pressure until they were fixed between the two tendons running through his inner arms.

Satisfied with it, Molly unhooked the band and walked over to Jeremy. Tapping the man's shoulder, Molly presented him with the band. "Wear it around the wrist and it should help with the seasickness. Tell me if it sits comfortably and I'll make the other one." He instructed, frowning at how pale the other looked. His second offer came a bit more reluctantly, not quite trusting himself to not mess up. "If you trust me enough, I know which points to press that can alleviate some seasickness. It will also improve stamina and energy while providing stability and grounding."

As Molly left, Ibaraki payed Moona no mind and instead shuffled over to the side of the boat where the child's hand dangled into the water. In Ibaraki's lap was Tragedy, crying as Ibaraki stared into the empty sockets and let a pain muddled mind wander. The child couldn't be too careful, everyone on this boat a potential enemy. There wasn't anyone Ibaraki could trust, surrounded on all sides by inescapable danger. The only one who was trustworthy was hidden and Ibaraki wasn't even sure if the child's safety was guaranteed. If someone wanted, the ones present on the boat could easily turn on one another, making it a second bloodbath. It wouldn't be a bad way to go, Ibaraki supposed. With one arm missing, there was little the child could do anyways. Lethargically, red tipped claws sent ripples bursting down the water surface, leaving a trail as Ibaraki stared unseeingly into the sea. A quick shake of the head knocked that thought out of Ibaraki's head however. It wouldn't do anyone any good to be thinking like that. For now, what the child should be doing is planning an escape as soon as possible. Ibaraki didn't want to hang around people who could betray the people Ibaraki liked at a moments notice.

Molly's brow was pinched as he examined the wound. As suspected, the arm was simply beyond saving. The fallen tribute's power had done a lot more than just break bones, it had even twisted flesh and wrung the arm dry of any blood. It certainly wasn't pretty and with how extensive the damage was, it would be a fools errand to try and save it. What Molly couldn't quite understand, however, was that Ibaraki didn't seem to be in any kind of pain, taking the poking and prodding quite well. When asked, however, the answer of "it doesn't hurt more that it normally does" was quite worrying. It was a bit upsetting to think that someone so young had chronic pain but that unfortunately wouldn't be the worst thing he has seen in his time as a doctor's assistant. The only thing he could do at this stage is ebb away the pain. Catching sight of where they were going to go, he pondered over what he knew grew within the plains. White Willow bark was the best painkiller in these situations with ginger and rosemary being other alternatives. Perhaps he could find rosemary in the plains as he didn't know if white desert willow had the same properties as regular white willow. But for now, while Ibaraki's injuries didn't seem life threatening, it would be best for the group to make land where Molly can safely work on cleaning and removing the lame arm.

Catching sight of the familiar terror, Ibaraki seemed to regain some sense of mind scrambling over towards him. "C-cree do you need your mask? I have it here! Are you okay?" Ibaraki sniffled, holding out the mask for Cree to take if he wished. Now that most of the adrenaline was evbing away, Ibaraki noticed that most of the monsterous traits that had been hidden so well we're now exposed again. Larger than normal clawed hands held the mask and black sclera blinked up at Cree, scaled legs shaking slightly as Ibaraki tried to balance on the rocking boat. Perhaps more than anything though, Ibaraki's horns had grown to resemble firey red branches rather than it's normal nubs.

The screech that Ibaraki made was something straight out of a horror movie, haunting and enraged. The child stumbled away from Moona with a snarl, free hand clutching onto the mangled mess of what was once an arm. The child was doing everything to break away but blood loss and terror were keeping the attempts from being successful. In a sense, Ibaraki was like a wild animal and boy did the child act like it, lashing out at anyone who got too close. One claw lightly nicked Moona on the arm, drawing light lines of blood but the next person who was hit wasn't so lucky. The tribute that attempted to attack them had a clawed hand smashed into her face sending her sprawling as Ibaraki hissed.

The struggle was maintained up until the pair reached the boat and Cree's name was uttered. At the mention of the child's only friend, Ibaraki let out a wail, hand moving to clutch at the retrieved Tragedy mask. The child seemed unconsolable and though no tears were shed Ibaraki was still mostly running on adrenaline. The warm glow of the spell seemed to calm Ibaraki down somewhat but nothing about the arm seemed to change. The arm was simply mangled beyond repair. Even Molly could admit that, recoiling at the repulsive wound. The best course of action would be to amputate the would before anything worse happened.

The moment the sound went off Molly was off, ignoring the rest of the chaos. With a quick scan of his powers, he picked up the bag with the most cloth that was closest to him before turning tail and running. He was about to dive into the water when a nearby boat of tributes caught his eye. Changing course, he sprinted towards the boat throwing himself into the water to swim over to them. "Is everybody alright? No one injured?" He yelled as soon as he could, splitting his attention between keeping the backpack waterproof and trying to stay afloat.

Ibaraki had froze the moment the games started, simply standing there on the platform. But what really caught the child's attention was the tragedy mask thrown into the middle, familiar and prompting the child into action. Sprinting forward, Ibaraki pushed through the fighting tributes and ducking around boxes. Cree's words from the train rang through the child's ears as Ibaraki tried to keep out of sight. That mask was important to Cree, an item used to protect the other's secret, and Ibaraki was going to bring it back to Cree no matter what.

Ducking underneath a pair of fighting tributes, Ibaraki spotted the tragedy mask not too far away and snatched it up. With that secured, Ibaraki fastened the mask to the side of the child's head and began to run towards the water. Fear gripped the child at the sight, unknowing of how exactly to swim. But it was the only out so there really was no choice. Before the child could get anywhere close to the water though someone rammed into Ibaraki, throwing the small child onto the ground. Attempting to get up, Ibaraki was only pinned down to the child's great dismay, only able to watch as the tribute who had marked Ibaraki for the hunt the previous day loomed over Ibaraki like a specter. "No hard feelings, kid." Was the only thing said as a knife was brought down.

Ibaraki's familiar voice reached those on the boat, undeniably full off terror and pain but what the others didn't see was one demonic hand punching right through Ibaraki's attacker's chest, the child wide eyed and terrified underneath the victim. The child's right arm was mangled, an ugly display of twisted flesh and broken bones, a parting gift from the fallen tribute. But it didn't matter now, not when survival was more important. Throwing the now lifeless body far far away, Ibaraki averted golden eyes from a scene that was all too familiar. Shoving away those memories, Ibaraki focused to standing up to make an escape. But perhaps escape was impossible for the young tribute as the sea would surely swallow the child before anything could be done. There was a familiar pressure building up behind stinging eyelids but the tears never came as Ibaraki stumbled towards the ocean.

25, 24, 23, 22, 21...

The sea. The arena was a giant ocean with sea salt stinging Ibaraki's eyes. At least no one would be able to tell that the child had been crying, the waves crashing around them a watery concealer. Breathing became difficult as the saline environment nestled salt within powerful lungs, constricting airways and barring passage to much needed oxygen. A hacking cough tried to dislodge the slow buildup of salt as Ibaraki doubled over trying to breath properly. The countdown could barely be heard as Ibaraki tried to wrestle everything under control. The sea was something new to the child and to have such an unfortunate match up right from the start was simply bad luck.

20, 19, 18, 17, 16...

The sea. Looking around, Molly examined his surroundings. This put a bit of a dent in his plans but no matter. He would still stick with his original intent. Molly knew how to swim so the best plan of attack would be to grab something small and swim out into the water and rest there until everyone had dispersed. As soon as he could, he would then swim back to treat as many of those injured in the bloodbath as possible before traveling to each of the islands visible as a wandering doctor. This was his best bet at saving as many people as possible while still keeping alive for longer.

Ibaraki, despite the brave words said yesterday, was terrified. The child had spent the time crying as the cream tank top was soaked even before the games could start. The thought of dying was rightly terrifying, a possibility that would become reality in a few moments. Life was just beginning to look up too! Ibaraki had a wonderful friend in Cree and people were praising the monstrous strength that had brought Ibaraki nothing but grief for so long. And now everything would be taken away. Scrubbing small hands over the exposed flesh in an effort to clumsily wipe away the tears, Ibaraki looked up when the sounds of footsteps rang through the waiting room. "It's time." Ibaraki's stylist murmured, pity shining in those eyes that had given the child nothing but kindness the past week or so. In the other's hand was a bell that rang soundlessly along with the mandated jacket. "Before you go, take this. Just as a little something from me." It wasn't an unkind smile that was given as the stylist knelt down to tie the bell around Ibaraki's ankle. "Good luck out there, kid. Do you best and I'll be cheering for you every step of the way."

Ibaraki's eyes widened slightly, before rushing forward to quickly embrace the stylist. "T-thank you. For everything." Came the mumbled thanks as the child was picked up and carried over to the elevator that would bring all of them up to their death. The sudden jerk of the machine had Ibaraki's heart rate spiking as the child was brought up to the arena. The sudden light was blinding but perhaps it was the fact that Ibaraki wasn't quite human that made adjusting much easier. The sight of the arena didn't even register as Ibaraki immediately looked for Cree, head whipping around in poorly disguised terror to try and find the only tribute Ibaraki could trust.

Pacing around the room, Molly furiously muttered under his breath. Different ways to use plants, how to administer medicine, all sorts of medical knowledge flowed out of the rapidly moving mouth as if Molly was preparing to go into an exam, not a death game. Other than that, Molly was the picture of serene calm, ready to burst into the arena at the first moment. He already had a plan that would almost definitely ensure his survival through the initial bloodbath but his continued survival would depend on his next actions. The announcement for launch didn't even phase him as he stepped into the tube. Everything would be okay.

Ibaraki's eyes widened slightly at the praise from someone. For a moment, Ibaraki just spent some time looking at slightly trembling hands. Was it cool? Ibaraki's strength had only ever hurt people, another part to be hidden rather than to be shown off. Things in this place really were weird. But even though it was sad that Ibaraki had to fight amongst the others to survive, lots and lots of people were still very nice to the child. Again the child wondered if things ever were as they seemed, but pushed the thought to back in favor of nodding to Akane. "Thank you, ma'am. That's very nice of you to say so." Ibaraki murmured, before shuffling away. Ibaraki didn't have very much energy to interact with anyone today, still tired from the previous day's transformation. Finding a nice corner away from anyone else, Ibaraki snuggled against the hard walls and golden eyes fluttered close. Not quite sleeping, yet quiet enough for others to ignore the child. Behind closed eyes, Ibaraki could hear some tributes whispering over the new information, some more wary to attack Ibaraki now with the show of strength yet some were much more determined to rid the child at the first chance.

"His name may be a mouthful but we eagerly await his performance! Chrysomallys Athamas!" Came the next call, drawing the aforementioned tribute's attention. With a cordial smile, Molly stepped on stage. There was undoubtedly some swooning among the audience but Molly laughed it off good naturedly, waving towards the audience before taking a seat.

"Before we begin, I must admit. Your name is quite an unusual one. Any nicknames we call call you by?" Came the easy question. It was oddly different from the other questions posed but Molly let it pass without much question. It was nearing the end of the night anyways so he simply answered it honestly.

"My Mom named me that, apparently it can be found in one of her favorite legends." Molly recounted, remembering the stories his Mom would tell him, hushed voices in the middle of the night. "But simply calling me Molly or Chrys is acceptable."

"Molly then. You sound quite close with your mother. Do you miss your family?" Was the second question and Molly blinked. There certainly were very personal questions. This year had been mostly filled with more questions related to power and killing so why change with him? A little odd but Molly still answered honestly. There wasn't any harm in it, not quite yet.

"I do. But such feelings will not help me in the arena." He replied. It was not a particularly happy reply but it was a frank one at that. But the crowd didn't seem to care, eating it up eagerly. "But I do hope that they're cheering me on."

"A pure and simple wish. Well here's the final question. What will you do if you win?"

This question was a bit unexpected and Molly took some time to think about it. "If I win, the I have failed." Came the final answer. "My motive is to heal as many tributes as I can. Many of the deaths within the arena are preventable if given proper medical attention. I want to save those who I can and if I am the last person standing then what meaning was there in saving them?" With that final reply, the buzzer went off and Molly returned backstage.

Flinching at being called up, Ibaraki waved goodbye to Cree. The child didn't expect Akane to say anything either but politely bowed to her in thanks.

The crowd gasped, seeing yet another young face being sent off to die. But many of those gasps were also squeals of seeing how adorable the tribute was, the shy way that Ibaraki hurried on stage seeming cute to some. Ceaser definitely seemed to think so, as he cheerfully led Ibaraki to the tribute seat. "We've certainly seen some... Interesting tributes this night. So tell me, Ibaraki. Are you scared at all?" Caesar asked, holding one of the child's hands as they conversed.

To the surprise of the audience, Ibaraki's answer was a no, punctuated by a shake of the head. "I am strong so there is no need for me to be afraid, sir." Came the honest answer, the simple yet confident answer stealing the hearts of many. It even seemed to surprise Caesar as well as he blinked at the amount of certainty the answer held.

"Well you certainly don't see this kind of confidence every day! Is the reason why you're not scared connected to your power by any chance?" Came the next question, the eager tone of Caesar's voice making Ibaraki just a bit uncomfortable.

Shifting a bit in the much too soft seat, Ibaraki bit a lip. "I could show you?" The child offered, sparking interest within the capital citizens. Demonstrations of a tribute's abilities in a hands on manner usually meant that the tribute was confident enough to show off their hand. Despite the young appearance, Ibaraki was marked by those spectating as someone to watch. Caesar, being the emcee he was eagerly accepted, not expecting Ibaraki to hop up and shuffle close to the other. "Please do not be frightened, Mister Flickermen, sir. I will not drop you. I promise." Was the only warning given before Ibaraki very carefully lifted the chair Caesar was sitting on up. With the man himself still sitting in it. There was shocked gasps from the audience that immediately turned into excited cheers as Ibaraki set Caesar back down. Ibaraki hoped Cree was watching and was impressed with the child's abilities and wasn't regretting being allies.

With a breathless laugh, Caesar smoothed out his slightly ruffled suit. "Well that was certainly the most fun I've had interviewing a tribute! Ibaraki Douji, everyone. What a performance!" As soon as those words were said, the buzzer rang. Bowing to everyone, Ibaraki quickly scurried off the stage, hands slightly shaking from the adrenaline and curse that steadily ebbed and flowed within the child.

Ibaraki watched the interviews go on with half interested eyes, most of the energy devoted to keeping a not so subtle eye on the tribute who had confronted the child earlier. All that caution was thrown away, however, the moment Cree was called up. Golden eyes trained themselves on the monitor and Ibaraki watched with rapt attention to how the proceedings went. The child was beyond estatic when Cree acknowledged that he had allies and although no names were said Ibaraki was satisfied in knowing that even outside of their regular interactions, Cree considered Ibaraki a friend. Or an ally at the very least. When Cree finally returned from the event, Ibaraki was there waiting for him with a giant smile. "Good job out there!" Was the greeting, polite as ever.

Molly let out a light wheeze as the outfit constricted tightly against his chest. "Really? Why a corset?" He spat out, catching his breath while sending a glare at his designer.

"It's in fashion this year." Came the flippant reply as the boning of the corset was adjusted. "Be thankful you're a boy. The girls have theirs tied tighter."

Molly could only groan and knock his forehead against the wall. Though he couldn't really say anything as he couldn't deny that the wine red corset paired with the snappy black clothing was a good look on him. Paired with his freshly re-dyed hair pulled into a fishtail braid, he really did seem like a capital citizen albeit a bit less flashy than the eccentric citizens that ogled the games each year like a sport.

Having taken a page from the clothes that Ibaraki had arrived in, the child's stylist had whipped out something a little more familiar looking. The flared bishop and slit sleeves were a sight for sore eyes the imperial purple fabric with lotus patterns embroidered into the coat familiar. Even the short cut harem like pants were familiar yet these were all slightly off, interpretations on clothes that Ibaraki had grown up with. There was even a hat that came with it, wide brimmed and very very pretty. Due to the slight... mishap the other day, Ibaraki's current appearance was as human as could be, everything from smooth scaleless legs to white sclera nothing seemed off if one looked. Though it did seem that the red nub peeking out from behind white bangs was larger than before and an odd sort of marking crawled down the child's arms and legs almost like a tattoo devouring the limbs.

Stepping into the new costume, Ibaraki did a little spin, only one of the sixteen bells sewn onto the outfit chiming softly. The designer had explained that while the bells were a must, they would cause too much sound when Ibaraki walked so all but one bell were silent. But Ibaraki didn't mind, the costume was beyond beautiful and the child felt very very blessed to be wearing such a thing. Once it was confirmed that the clothes fit, a light covering of makeup was put on and two red triangles were drawn on Ibaraki's cheeks. A protective charm, the stylist explained as the brush very carefully filled in the markings with a pigmented red. Thanking the stylist profusely, Ibaraki gingerly took off the hat and joined the tributes that headed backstage all while smiling widely.

This was short lived, however, as the hat was quickly snatched out of small hands. "What a weird hat. The bells don't even ring. Man, why wear something broken or even keep it around." A voice scoffed and Ibaraki cried out in indigence, hopping up to try and snatch the accessory back. Turning around, Ibaraki glowered at the perpetrator, fanged teeth snarled and snapped at one of the (npc) tributes that had the previous day marked Ibaraki for the hunt. "Broken things shouldn't be allowed in the games so think of it as me doing you a favor. I don't care if you're a child, I can't afford to die. Not here." The words were snarled close to a pointed ear, enough for the child to flinch away as the tribute walked away leaving only the sounds of ripping fabric and empty bell chimes in the wake. And Ibaraki could do nothing but grit sharpened teeth, listening to one of the thirteen bells chiming forlornly.

Ibraki frowned, trying quite hard to stay aware and focused on the conversation while walking. "You... helped me so I must thank you. If not... rude." Came the very adamant reply, the action of putting one foot in front of the other starting to become taxing. But still, Ibaraki refused to lean on Tayla just yet. She was nice, yes, but Ibaraki wasn't sure if she was nice because that was the type of person she was or if she was nice because she had something to gain from it. Speaking about trust though, perhaps Ibaraki had some blame to shoulder, constantly vigilant for any behavior that Tayla exhibited that could be framed as bad. She had only done things to help people around her while Ibaraki constantly suspected her. A pink tongue darted out to lick dry lips and suddenly Ibaraki was very thankful the the bone deep exhaustion made it hard for the child to look anywhere but down. "Um, few day ago... was mean to you. Even when you were nice, was still mean. I'm sorry, ma'am." Ibaraki meekly apologized.
