“I’d be surprised if you weren’t.” Huixin leans against Ophelia, eyes flicking back up at the timer

“What’s on your mind, Ophie?” She asks, handing the other a pair of earpieces.

She takes out her first aid kit, absentmindedly cleaning up one of Ophelia’s more recent wounds

“You look more tired than usual. Which is worrying.”

“If not for the stupid bonus stats I would throw those cigarettes away”

A familiar voice can be heard from not too far away, as Huixin approached Ophelia, giving her a look. Her bow was slung back against her back, her hair shifting back to its usual black and white.

“You ready?”

Huixin sighed again, looking up at the timer. It was like an annoyingly persistent bug she longed to swat away. A permanent reminder of incoming gloom. And the fall of more. Perhaps another third of people. She sighed, long and tired. Aiming her bow at a nearby shop, she sent an arrow whizzing through the open door, causing the security alarm to go off. Well. At least her aim was still good.

Hearing the yells from below, she noticed a group of people pointing and screaming at her. Shit. She was caught. Sprinting away, her hair turned bright bubblegum pink, nose shrinking and freckles appearing, rendering her completely different from the face the shopkeepers had spotted. Putting on a scarf and talking out a fake cigar, she walked back onto the streets, whistling casually

Huixin looked up at her timer, sighing dramatically.

The next outbreak would be in ten minutes…….correction, under ten minutes. Time was ticking, and soon corpses would litter the streets.

The sky was gloomy and grey, dark clouds almost foreboding if not for the fact it had become everyday weather.

Patching up her wounds, she packed the first aid kit and rose to her feet, stretching her arms. Too soon. Huixin wasn’t ready for this nonsense yet. She picked up her bow and arrows, putting it into her quiver, which was slung behind her back.

Huixin is focused and reliable, exuding a quiet confidence, preferring to let their actions define them rather than their words. They are naturally observant, often noticing subtle details that others overlook, and use this awareness to solve problems with precision and practicality. Their calm and composed demeanor makes them a reassuring presence in any situation, offering stability and a sense of control when challenges arise. While they rarely seek attention or praise, their actions consistently reflect a deep care for the well-being of those around them. Their support is often understated yet deeply impactful, expressed through thoughtful gestures and unwavering dependability. Beneath their reserved exterior lies a strong moral core and a quiet determination, driving them to do what is right—even if it goes unnoticed.

[Backstory]
Growing up with a messed up family, Huixin was considered the runt of the bunch. And for a family that prized strength and power above all else, Huixin was given the scraps of her siblings. The bowl was passed around the table from the father, who was head of the house, in decreasing order of strength, leaving Huixin with little to no food. The same went for clothes, water…any sort of utility, really. Naturally, Huixin went out to scavenge food for herself, eventually discovering her abilities and its limits. It is unknown where or when she met Ophelia, but they’ve been each other’s halves ever since
[Innate Ability]
Reality Warping [SS]
Huixin is able to change, create, or even destroy parts of or the entirety of reality. Basically, she can freely control and alter reality, potentially even having complete control over it. Furthermore, the extent to which she uses her energy depends on how grand the change is, as well as how big the space is.

Title: Goddess Ophelia and Mortal Huixin :)

Getting Coffee
Huixin walks into her favorite coffee shop, craving her usual order. As she waits in line, the barista accidentally hands her drink to the customer behind her. Ophelia, observing from above, causes the drink to "mysteriously" spill all over the customer’s shoes. The flustered barista remakes the drink immediately for Huixin. While Huixin tries not to laugh, she mutters under her breath, *"Subtlety, Ophie. Ever heard of it?"*

Meetings and Thunderstorms
During a work presentation, Huixin notices her manager glaring at her with clear irritation. The tension rises until thunder booms ominously outside, shaking the windows. The power flickers. Everyone in the room looks startled, except Huixin, who glances upward with an exasperated sigh. "Ophelia, I’ve got this," she mutters quietly. Her manager, unnerved, backs off and awkwardly praises her work.

>:(
Huixin was reading a book at a park when someone decided to sit down uncomfortably close to her, trying to flirt. She politely declines, but the stranger won’t leave. Ophelia, observing from her throne on the skies, decides enough is enough. A gust of wind rips the book from Huixin’s hands, only for it to slap the stranger square in the face, causing a bleeding nose. As Huixin retrieves her book, she mutters, “That wasn’t even remotely subtle, Ophie” Ophelia just hums in satisfaction.

Rigged from the Start
At a local festival, Huixin participates in a raffle, joking that she’s never been lucky. When the host draws lots and announces her name as the winner of the grand prize—a vacation trip—Huixin looks suspiciously at the sky. Later, she whispers, "You didn’t have to rig it, you know." Ophelia, glowing faintly with pride from above, shrugs innocently. The event organisers are all understandably confused, because all the paper slips read “Huixin” Any attempts to put in names of other people are vehemently rejected and torn into confetti.

“My earrings are obsidian, if that’s of any interest. Brittle- but sharp. Especially if it’s chipped and jagged.” Yang Mi offers. “Oh. And my nails” Yang Mi carefully removed her nail extensions, the long, sharp tips more like claws than anything. They were sturdy- perhaps not best fit for chopping wood, but certainly good for self defense- as Yang Mi learned the hard way. With obsessed fans appearing on her doorstep, or ‘dealing’ with people they thought had offended her….well, you needed to defend yourself.

Kelsey’s question aside, Yang Mi had concluded that Metsk needed either a better attention span, or a new pair of ears and eyes. Her question had gone ignored, but oh well. She’d just nickname him. Overworked Dude would be fitting- he looked in dire need of caffeine, a proper sleep schedule, and more. Perhaps not the catchiest of nicknames, but it described him very well, Yang Mi thought.

Ophelia woke to a thin sliver of sunlight creeping across the bedroom floor, illuminating her arm in a dusty beam. The burn was instantaneous, like acid biting into flesh, and she screamed, rolling off the bed and into the shadowy corner, clutching her smoldering arm. The pain clawed at her insides, surging up her throat, raw and uncontainable.

She staggered to her feet, legs trembling, and rushed to shut the curtains. Darkness swallowed the room, and only then did her vision settle, sharpening until she could make out every line of dust in the air, every subtle crack in the walls. Her senses throbbed, hyper-aware of every sound, every faint scent drifting from the world beyond.

And then the hunger. It coiled low in her stomach, a deep, wrenching void that clawed at her insides with a need so fierce it brought her to her knees. She pressed her palms against the floor, clamping her mouth shut, afraid of the things she might scream.

The door creaked open. “Ophie?” Huixin’s voice was a soft murmur. The sound of her own name, once so familiar and gentle, now grated against her eardrums. She bit back a whimper, her nails scraping into the wood.

“I’m fine,” she lied, her voice shaky. She dared not look at Huixin, dared not breathe in that warm, all-too-tempting scent.

“Are you… hurt?” Huixin took a tentative step forward, but Ophelia raised a trembling hand.

“Stay back.” Her voice cracked, an edge of desperation slipping through. She didn’t want Huixin to see her like this—sweating, shaking, barely holding herself together. She squeezed her eyes shut, but she could still feel the hunger, gnawing and relentless.

Another step, and Huixin’s hand rested on her shoulder. That gentle, grounding touch, once her anchor, now burned through her skin like fire, sparking a maddening need she couldn’t control.

“Ophelia…” Huixin whispered, concern thick in her voice. “Please, let me help.”

But something snapped. She opened her eyes, and for a brief, horrifying moment, she saw herself reflected in Huixin’s gaze—lips pulled back in a snarl, eyes wild, every muscle coiled like a predator ready to pounce. She tried to pull away, tried to stifle the scream building in her chest, but the hunger was too deep, too demanding.

And before she could stop herself, her body surged forward, her senses flooding with Huixin’s warmth, the pulse beneath her skin, the life she craved. Huixin’s scream pierced the silence, but Ophelia couldn’t stop, couldn’t think—she was lost in the frenzy, in the sick, overpowering relief that drowned out every ounce of reason.

When the haze cleared, she was on her knees, hands drenched in blood, the lifeless weight of Huixin’s body slumped against her. Her fingers trembled as she traced the lines of Huixin’s face, the familiar contours now painted in red. She stared down at what she had done, her heart an empty, hollow cavern.

The hunger was gone, but in its place, there was nothing. Not grief, not rage. Only an apathetic emptiness that stretched out inside her, vast and unfeeling. She brushed a lock of Huixin’s hair from her face, the gesture gentle, almost reverent.

There should have been tears, there should have been agony. But all Ophelia felt was the faint whisper of a memory—a life she’d held dear slipping through her fingers, already fading to nothing.

She closed her eyes, letting the darkness swallow her whole.

”I don’t blame you, Ophie” | ”You should…I’m a monster”

Yang Mi locks eyes with Metsk (most unfortunately) and sighs, walking over to the pair. Reaching out her tattooed arm for a handshake, she dips her head in greeting “Yang Mi. Or perhaps you know me better as Mimi. That idol with the really glittery hair on stage.” She lets out a bitter chuckle, reaching for her cigarettes again, before sighing as she remembered she probably shouldn’t be smoking around Ymaa

“And who might you two be?” She flashes them a charming smile, her idol persona resurfacing. At least she had a few moments of rest before being disturbed….not that she shouldn’t have anticipated this. After all, she was an idol with dyed purple hair.

”In winter we behold the charms of solemn majesty and naked grandeur.”

Name: Misako Utsumi

Title: Duchess of the Frigid Plains, First Lady Misako, Beautiful Abundance

Age: 850

Gender/Sexuality: Female/Lesbian

Personality:
ISTJ-A | SiTe | Type 1
perfectionist | ambitious | organised | practical | logical | assertive | disciplined
Misako is an embodiment of icy resolve, a guardian of winter's bleak yet formidable beauty. Her presence is as piercing as the cold winds that sweep her land, unyielding and exacting, instilling respect and perhaps fear among her subjects. Misako's true form remains enigmatic, as she slips effortlessly between identities, adding a haunting mystique to her already formidable reputation. Her empathy is both a gift and a weapon; she perceives emotions with precision, drawing out and amplifying them to manipulate, control, or devastate those who cross her path. While she may appear as remote and unfeeling as her wintry domain, Misako rules with a fierce dedication to order and survival—traits born of necessity in the unforgiving North. The graveyard in her territory bears testament to her relentless rule; stories of soldiers buried in towering heaps whisper of her iron-fisted discipline. Misako’s allure lies in her duality: beneath the disciplined exterior lies a woman who navigates the thin line between compassion and cruelty, embodying the harsh elegance of a black swan, ominous, chilling, yet graceful
Appearance:
Show hidden content

A gown crafted from rich layers of midnight blue velvet, evoking the deep, tranquil tones of a winter night. A subtle shimmer of silver threads is woven throughout the fabric, like stars scattered across a frozen sky, catching the light with every movement. The bodice is sculpted and adorned with delicate embroidery in icy white and silver, forming intricate snowflake patterns that radiate out from the center. The sleeves are sheer, made of frosty tulle that flows down to the wrists, giving the illusion of mist rising on a winter’s morning. Small, shimmering crystals line the neckline, reflecting light as though dusted by fresh snowfall. At the waist, a silver sash cinches the gown, trailing down into a layered skirt that billows gracefully like soft drifts of snow. The skirt itself is a mix of silvery whites and pale blues, with a train that glistens as if kissed by frost. Each step leaves a trail of subtle sparkle, reminiscent of moonlight on snow, making this gown a stunning tribute to the elegance and magic of winter.

Magic:

Shape-Shifting
Misako can drastically change her appearance, to look like anyone she desires. Beyond humanoid transformations, she has also been able to transform into a few inanimate objects- namely a goblet, a circlet and a sword. Be warned, however, that should you pick up one of said items, you would not feel the smooth metal under your skin, but instead smooth skin and a tingling sensation that induces nausea for a few minutes. Humans and objects aside, Misaki may also transform into a fox with pure white fur and glimmering blue eyes.

Empath
The ability to feel others emotions clearly. Emotions have two variations. That of the head, and that of the heart. Raw, true emotions are hidden in one’s heart; and cannot be faked, while that of the mind may be manipulated to one’s desires. As such, each emotion must be carefully monitored to determine whether they are one’s true, genuine emotion. Furthermore, Misako is able to amplify the emotions of another. Positive, negative, it matters not. As long as there is an emotion, she can manipulate it. Naturally, with enough focus, Misako is able to make one feel so emotional, that their heart could burst.

Stories:
Up North
The North is frigid, its climate harsh. Only the toughest can bloom in the icy chill, and for Duchess Misako there are no exceptions. To rule the land of eternal winter, one must as unyielding as the winter, yet as soft as the snow. Discipline and rigidity must be maintained, order be preserved for the sake of the land. There is no room for any sort of tomfoolery, no mercy to be spared for traitors. Rumors sweep through the lands of the graveyard down North, of bodies of former soldiers piled so high no end is in sight. No one knows what exactly goes on behind the spiralling gates, but if you care to look closely when the night is at its coldest, you can spot the gentle glow of a carriage light, heading towards the cemetery.
Haunting Chill
A bunny is a prey, they will never be more. Their defenses are weak, they are not meant to survive. Hence the bunny must stay alert, albeit paranoid. When the monsters spot the bunny, with its hungry wild eyes, the bunny must run, lest it dies. All bunnies are weak, they are not meant to survive. But one little bunny grew fangs to fight. If it wants to survive, it must not be a prey. So it breaks its bones, emerging victorious on the throne

Reputation:
Misako is more than happy to entertain the rumours of the grave…and most claim the rumors aren’t far from the truth. What she does with them, however, is a different story entirely, for the overflowing grave has never lacked space for more….and more…

Yang Mi’s eyes flutter open, adjusting to the soft, hazy light filtering through the trees near the shore. She blinks, feeling the warmth of sand beneath her and the cool sea breeze grazing her skin. As her surroundings come into focus, confusion strikes—a remote beach, with the faint sound of waves breaking in the distance, yet no clue how she ended up here. Her mind races, trying to stitch together fragments of memories that feel just out of reach. She scrambles upright, a familiar surge of anxiety bubbling inside her as her instincts kick in.

Her first reaction is to feel a flash of annoyance, her short temper flaring up at the lack of answers. “Really? Just what I needed,” she mutters, sarcasm edging her voice, masking her nerves. She looks around, assessing her surroundings with a wary eye. The quietness unsettles her, stirring up the anxiety she’s fought hard to control. Normally, Yang Mi would revel in the peace and seclusion, but the uncertainty of her situation pulls her back into a state of guardedness. She wraps her arms around herself, her fingers brushing over the tattoo on her arm—a small comfort in the midst of this unexpected solitude.

But then, taking a deep breath, she tries to calm herself, letting her naturally bubbly side take over. Maybe, she tells herself, this is just some bizarre adventure, something she can handle. As the initial panic fades, she takes a proper look around, noticing the people around her.

She watched as Metsk pulled a cigarette out, only to put it back in again. Chuckling, she reached into her own pocket, just to make sure those weren’t hers that the man was holding. On the bright side, at least whoever put her here didn’t take her cigarettes.

"The Songbird’s Echo"

Beneath the stage, where shadows dwell,
A voice once pure, now lost in spell.
Dezerae, with eyes that gleam,
A phantom tied to a fading dream.

Her voice once soared on silver wings,
Through crowded halls, her siren sings.
But gilded tones, now cold with time,
Hide the tarnish beneath the rhyme.

A mask she wears, of charm and grace,
Yet darkness lingers, leaving no trace.
In marble halls, her smile deceives,
Where love was absent, truth bereaves.

She weaves her webs with silken lies,
A vixen veiled in her own disguise.
Yet within her heart, the aching grows,
For a family that she never knows.

Though bound to power, a mentor’s praise,
Her longing eyes still seek the rays
Of warmth that never reached her soul,
A price paid for her heart’s control.

In shadows deep, she finds her place,
A fleeting glimpse of soft embrace.
For Dezerae, the songbird flown,
Still yearns to find a love her own.

”How can an idol be a sinner?”

Name: Yang Mi (Mimi)

Gender: Female

Age: 20

Birthday: 11/12

Personality:
bubbly | upbeat | sarcastic | charismatic | caring | short-tempered

Yang Mi, known to her fans as Mimi, is a vibrant and lively idol who radiates energy whenever she's on stage. Her bubbly personality is infectious, and her upbeat nature makes her the center of attention, easily drawing people in with her charm. She’s sarcastic yet charismatic, blending cheeky humor with a caring side that makes her fans adore her even more. People are enchanted by her voice and captivated by her catchy lyrics, but there’s more to her than meets the eye. Despite her fun-loving stage persona, she often harbors a more introverted, quiet desire—to live far from the spotlight, working as a humble farmer in the countryside.

Off stage, Yang Mi's demeanor shifts drastically. The cheery smile that everyone associates with her disappears, replaced by a more serious, almost intimidating presence. Her large tattoo, prominently displayed on her arm, symbolizes a side of her that fans rarely get to see—the tough, short-tempered girl who's far from the bubbly image projected under the stage lights. She craves solitude, wanting to escape from the constant attention and glamour, finding peace in the idea of a simpler, quieter life.

Description:
[]Height: 152cm
[]Weight: 43kg
[]Skin Tone: caramel
[]Hair Style: high ponytail
[]Hair Colour: purple
[]Eye Colour: purple
[]Clothes: see picture
[]Accessories: obsidian earrings, and a necklace with the numbers “111204” engraved on it
[]Other: tattoo on arms, some sort of red flower

History:
Yang Mi's rise to fame as an idol was far from the glamorous journey many imagine. Born into a modest family, she grew up in a small town where life moved at a slower pace—something she often reflects on with a mix of nostalgia and longing. As a child, Yang Mi was always drawn to music, finding solace in singing and songwriting. Her voice became her escape, allowing her to forget about the struggles she faced at home. Despite her natural talent, she was never quite the outgoing, confident girl that fans would later see on stage. Instead, she battled anxiety from a young age, overwhelmed by expectations and her own internal pressures to succeed.

When she was scouted as a teenager and thrust into the competitive world of entertainment, her anxiety intensified. The constant scrutiny, relentless schedules, and impossible beauty standards began to take a toll on her mental health. Yang Mi developed anorexia as a way to regain control in a world that often felt chaotic and beyond her grasp. Behind the cheerful idol persona, she was silently fighting her own battles—struggling to maintain the image expected of her while grappling with overwhelming anxiety and the crippling chains of anorexia.

Despite her outward success, Yang Mi often finds herself yearning for a different life—one far removed from the flashing lights, crowded arenas, and never-ending expectations. Behind the cheerful idol mask, she dreams of a peaceful, quiet existence, a place where she can simply be herself without the constant pressure to perform. The idea of living on a small farm in the countryside has become her escape, a vision she clings to when the weight of her idol life feels too heavy to bear.

In her heart, Yang Mi longs for days spent tending to crops, waking up to the sound of nature instead of the demands of the industry. She imagines the simplicity of life in the countryside—a slower, more grounded rhythm that would allow her to find the peace she's been missing. Her withdrawn, quieter self feels more at home in this dream world, where she doesn’t need to hide behind a perfect image or fight to maintain control over her body and mind. Away from the spotlight, she could breathe again, free from the chaos of her current life.

Although her career as an idol has brought her fame and success, Yang Mi knows that her true happiness lies in a future where she can live authentically—where she can let go of the persona she’s built and embrace the quiet, unassuming life she’s always craved.

Sexuality: aroace

”Would you still love me if you I was a monster?”
“I never did love you” Anne spat, her voice cold, hard. It was a lie, of course—a twisted reflection of the pain she felt. But Ray had never felt further from her, never seemed more like the monster she now knew her to be.

“Anne, could you get me those papers from my office?” Ray calls out, nose buried in a stack of important looking papers. Anne groans, nods, and drags herself out of the chair, heading to Dezerae’s office. She spots the papers on the desk, and picks them up. Out of the corner of her eye, she spots her mom’s laptop screen. It was unlocked. Weird. Dezerae never left her laptop unlocked. Anne should have just ignored it and left, but her curiosity got the better of her. What harm could there be in taking a peek?

Putting the papers aside, she sat down and clicked on the first document she saw. Anne sat back in the office chair lazily, twirling her hair as she waited for it to load. When she saw it’s contents, however, her face turned pale. Pages upon pages of Fatui documents, each far more detailed and gruesome than the other. Ray was a Fatui? Ray? It couldn’t be. With a shaky hand, Anne scrolled down, hoping, praying to find something that proved her mom was simply investigating the Fatui. No such luck. Dezerae Li, Fatui Harbinger…Brighella…The Enchantress… Her vision blurred, and she closed the document, slamming the laptop shut. Realizing she still had to hand Ray the papers, Anne collected herself, taking a deep breath and forcing on a smile. “Here, Ray.” She passed the papers to Ray, trying to appear as normal as possible.

By some miracle, Ray didn’t notice anything wrong. And so, Anne made her way to her room, locking the doors as her facade crumbled. Her chest heaved as if it were collapsing in on itself, each breath more ragged than the last. Her heartbeat thundered in her ears, a relentless drum she couldn't silence. A knot twisted deep in her gut, rising to her throat until she could barely swallow. Her mouth was dry, but the bile threatened to rise. No. This can’t be real. It was a mistake, yes—a cruel, twisted joke. But the words were plain as day, unyielding, as if daring her to deny the truth. The walls of the house felt strangely unfamiliar, every shadow a looming threat, pressing in, closing up, trapping her. Suffocating her. Was Ray still the same person, or had she been living with a monster all along? Were any of their memories together real? Anne's thoughts spiraled, each more frantic than the last, until it became impossible to grasp even one. They all screamed at her, drowning out the world with their chaos. She shook her head, muttering under her breath, ‘No… no, this can’t be.’ But the undeniable truth was right there in front of her—her mother’s name scrawled across the report, tied to unforgivable acts. She thought of the late-night phone calls, the business trips that never seemed to add up. The cold, distant expression Ray wore when she thought no one was watching. How had she not seen it before? A scream built in her throat, but when she opened her mouth, nothing came out. Instead, tears spilled down her face, silent and unrelenting. Anne let out a strangled sob, and without thinking, she grabbed the nearest object—a framed photo of her and her mother—and hurled it across the room. The glass shattered on impact, mirroring the fracture in her heart. Her legs buckled beneath her, and she crumpled to the floor, numb. There was no energy left for anger or grief. Only a hollow void where her thoughts used to be.

The days passed, and Anne found herself taking more and more pills to keep her emotions in check. The grueling world of modeling left no room for silly things like feelings. She found herself modeling more and more outfits requiring gloves. Less crop tops, more dresses, anything- outfits that covered the waist and below. Anne couldn’t stay here anymore. Not when her mother was…was a Fatui member. A high ranked member, a Harbinger. Part of the Fatui, that cruel, vicious organization that was no different- far worse than a mafia. Anne’s mind snapped back to the moment, weeks—no, months ago—when Ray had asked her that unsettling question in a rare, vulnerable moment:
“Would you still love me if you knew I was a monster?”
At the time, Anne had laughed it off. She thought it was one of her mother’s strange jokes, a dark sense of humor Anne had learned to ignore. But now, that question haunted her. Ray knew. She had known all along. It wasn’t a joke—it was a warning. And Anne had been too blind to see it. She laughed bitterly “I never did love you, Dezerae”

“You got it!”

Another cloud hand phased through the window to scoop Yutoshi up.

It waits patiently for said child to climb aboard the magic cloud express.

Ellie looked like the opposite of Ophelia and Yutoshi, cheery and energetic and ready to go.

In fact, if it wasn’t for her job, she’d have zipped across the lands to another country.

Ellie’s cloud hand, which had previously been pointed at Yutoshi, immediately swooped over and scooped Ophelia up like some docile magic carpet.

“Where to, boss?”

Ellie asks cheerily, looking windswept.

“Hey wait- Yutoshi’s still inside the building!”

Coming to an abrupt halt before the floor-to-ceiling window looking into Ophelia’s office, Ellie waved excitedly, pointing to a slower, and much more tired looking Yutoshi.

Waving her hands, the thunderclouds came together to form “HI BOSS!” in somewhat ominous caps.

Ellie would have very much liked to scoop Yutoshi up on a cloud. She wasn’t sure how he’d take that though

And so she settled for a giant cloud finger pointing to Yutoshi

“WE’RE HERE”

“Nope! Pretty sure she gets paid the least out of us all~”

Ellie hums happily, unbothered by the fact the government hadn’t (and probably wouldn’t) compensate them for any overtime they did.

“And yes, yes. Of course it is! But who else sends literal kids to attack a highly dangerous group of talented individuals?”

“Especially one led by big boss’ ex!”

And with that, Ellie cloud surfs to Ophelia’s office.
