Kaz's Ult has a cooldown of 15 seconds and only requires 60 energy, which is isn't bad when you think about it. His E-SKill has a recharge time of 6 - 9 seconds depending on what you do with it, and grants a large amount of energy with all the particles it generates. With my Kaz's setup, I can usually refill the Ult by that second skill use (I do have a little ER to make that happen, though.) Since Kaz's skills are anmeo in nature, it also means that you're going to be doing a LOT of swirl reactions, and on occasion other reactions depending on environment and enemies. Stacking EM on Kaz means he deals additional damage. Don't sneeze at the burst, however. It creates an area where enemies take damage over the course of 8 seconds and can be infused with an element, dealing that type of damage in addition to physical damage. It's also pretty to look at, when you get stuck trying to figure out where you need to go once combat is over. I've been trying to run a full catalyst team of Lisa, Yanfei, Kokomi, and Sucrose. However, Lisa's DEF artifact needs to be swapped and Sucrose doesn't even have any, so there's that too. It's been a fun ride. Overload is OP, and Swirl is an indispensable aid in transferring element status to other enemies. [Read more] |

4 runs of Midsummer Courtyard in an attempt to cycle Lisa's Artifacts to see if I could get rid of my Circlet with a DEF main stat. I got 8 (!!!) Thundersoother Goblets. Wrong artifact, wrong piece. Domains that are a pain, personally: The one Mondstat Domain that's nothing but Cryo and Stamina-sapping. Pretty certain that's a talent domain, though. You have no idea how many under-leveled talents I have because of it simply because I can no longer dodge and get trapped in a vortex of swirling icicles. If anyone wants/needs help on domains and they're in NA, hit me up and I'll help. QUICK EDIT: The higher chances of getting 'Godly' stats on feathers and flowers is also because their main stat is locked, which removes a lot of the RNG factor. Flowers will always have base HP and Feathers will always have base ATK. [Read more] |

I found that I spent most of my fight against the new wolf boss with Childe trying to snipe from the cover of Noelle's shield and inside of Kokomi's healing radius. I have Kaz as my heavy-hitter with Childe as my go-between, Kokomi/Qiqi for healing depending on what I need element-wise, and then a fourth character to mess with as I want. Usually to help provide a team-buff through a quick skill swap in/out or the anemo buff for extra speed. Kaz, Noelle, Kokomi, and Childe. It... It may have taken me nearly ~100 Hashbrowns and Apple Stews to get through the boss, not to mention the sheer number of revival foods I had to use. All this, and I learned something early. Geo Shields didn't seem to help protect anyone. It didn't break, I just kept taking damage inside of it. I don't have any other shield characters (that I'm aware of) and my Yanfei isn't built enough to survive using her burst on the crazy AOE and tornado thing that the wolf does just for the shield. Mongolian death wurm, anyone? Because that's what the 'flopped over' wolf reminds me of. ------------------------ @Tsukoyomi Here's hoping life stops kicking your butt soon! Also, "Elemental Reactions, Who?" is hilarious. I tend to do something similar, but Swirl is used since I still have Hydro party members. That healing buff is something I can't just give up. So I guess mine is called "Here's the Wet-Wind Brigade" I currently use Kaz, Kokomi, Childe and Sayu, but for the longest time it was Sucrose, Anemo Traveler, Barbara and Xingqiu. Let me tell you, accidentally getting a C3 Xingqiu is OP for not having gotten to Old Mondstadt yet. Hadn't even gotten lucky enough to get an early Xingling, either. When you lack the ability to make supderconduct or electro-charged or any of the other reactions to most enemies, well... you get creative. The most fun I have had was getting a getting the Electro Hypostasis 'stuck' and having Kaz jump and down on it. Next bit of fun confusing the Stonehide pathing and doing something similar with Sucrose and Xingqiu. In both cases, it took forever, but still. What's the best strategy you've found going against enemies, or do you just go in and wham on them until they're dead? [Read more] |

Childe is my third(fourth?) fully maxed characters in terms of levels. In terms of Talents, however... Qiqi and Kaz have him beat (9/9/9 vs 7/5/4- I plan on fixing that today, though). I run my Childe with a 2-piece HoD and 2-piece SR. I really only use the freeze from Qiqi when I use her skill to heal others, so I can't really help with your question. I mostly use Kaz to pull in most of the enemies into a single area and Childe to get the Riptide effects. That said, I have heard really good things about having Childe run with BS setup for Prema-Frost teams if you can get your base Crit Damage up high. I've been thinking about it, but I'm not sure if I want to get rid of my almost 50% hydro damage bonus when I use his skill/burst so often. Though... Kaz Pull + Riptide en masse + an additional 40% Crit Rate + high base Crit Rate/Damage seems way too fun a chance to miss. With all the Characters that have off-field Cryo applications, it seems kinda powerful although the team would need to swapped a little for cryo shield breaks. I might run the setup for a little just to see how it works out. Of course personal mileage depends on the artifact substats, too. The only reason I can think of why you wouldn't want Childe having BS is because he doesn't benefit from the 2 piece cryo damage setup. But if you want to go for it and have the time for farm artifacts with the stats you want, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't. Good luck with your team building! --- --- --- I can't say that I'm looking forwards to claymore characters, so Albedo is really the only banner I think I'd pull on. Gorou being 4-star means we can get him on standard eventually, so there's that going for me. Only need to debate on if Albedo is really required for what I need. Want? Absolutely. Need? Up for debate. What has me hyped is more events in Dragonspine. I've found it to be a peaceful place to explore and idle, despite the sheer cold. I have some fun pictures to share if anyone wants to see them. Mostly me goofing off in DS. Anytime I can mess around in that place is a fun time for me. I mean, the puppy event seems fun, too! Can't say the omnitool will be useful for me since I don't really place animals in the teapot, but who knows. The amplifier event also seems really cool! I did a double take at the Slime Boxes, not gonna lie. Then I laughed, because the first thought I had was 'What if we stack them like boxes and they had elemental reactions?'. I wonder if moving Paimon into the teapot means I can bully her a bit more, now. Time for more Teapot shenanigans! Now, weapons. Can I take a second to just mention how pretty the Cinnabar Spindle is? Like... It's really, really pretty. I'll aim for R5 because of the inner completionist in me and because the refine materials are event-earned instead of RNG through banners, but like the Luxurious Sea-Lord and Frostbearer, the blade may never get any use in my party depending on its substat and main effects. Hilariously, only 4 stars I'm missing at Sara and Thoma. Not sure I like Sara's playstyle, though. Thoma... well, I'll wait for him to be on-loan for trials and decide if I like him enough to try in the standard before for him. (Haven't done the... I think hangout, for him yet. I have it unlocked, though). Grats on the 50 saved wishes. I am just shy of having 10 wishes saved, but since I'm not going to pull for Hu Tao I think I'll be fine. Thinking about doing the 5 bucks for 30 days of Welkin Moon, too. Hesitating for numerous reasons, but one of which is questions about their security. Another, far more distant question is... how will MHY handle post-game? As said, far distant... but not that distant, all told. [Read more] |

You can use the healing encampments to swap characters and still get the reward, I believe. Bring in a few healers and swap between them to heal your party. Noelle's shield is good. Same with Xinyan's shield, and she's pyro. Take the rooms slowly and heal between each fight with your healers. Also, those orbs scattered about?
