Toriel was standing where Frisk fell down, at the patch of yellow flowers. In the start of the RUINS. How did she get here so fast? You would never know.

Frisk didn't hear the other two come into the door, and so she decided to go out and wait for them. She just saw a glimpse of Halcyon as he went around the corner. "Why do you want to kill her so badly? Would you do that to her if she was human?" She yelled desperately.

Frisk SPARED Toriel again. Toriel said nothing. Frisk SPARED her again. "No, I understand. You three would just be unhappy trapped down here. The RUINS are very small once you get used to them. It would not be right for you to grow up in a place like this. My expectations... My loneliness... My fear... For you, my children... I will put them aside." Toriel said. The battle faded away. "If you truly wish to leave the RUINS, I will not stop you. However, when you leave... Please do not come back. I hope you understand." Toriel finished. Toriel gave Frisk a hug. Frisk hugged back, and tears fell down her cheeks.

Frisk's SOUL made barriers to hold back the bullets. She was determined to SAVE Toriel, by any means possible.

Frisk pressed the SPARE button again. "What are you proving this way?" Toriel said. The fireballs continued to miss Frisk. She pressed SPARE again. "Fight me or leave!" Toriel yelled. The fireballs still missed. She SPARED again. "Stop it." Toriel said. Fireballs missed again. Frisk SPARED again. "Go away!" Toriel yelled. The fireballs continued to miss.

The bullet almost shattered the dome, but was held back.

Frisk narrowed her eyes in concentration. She pressed the SPARE button. "...." More fireballs came in, but Frisk dodged them all except for one. It only hurt a bit. She pressed the SPARE button again and again, dodging fireballs, until Toriel yelled "Attack or run away!" Frisk was ready to dodge, but the fireballs just deliberately missed her now.

	Before Frisk could even react to what Halcyon said, a red, clear substance shot out from her SOUL and made a dome around Halcyon. Frisk shook it off as just a trick of the light or something, and pressed ACT, and then talk. *You couldn't think of any conversation topics. Toriel began to shoot fireballs at Frisk. "Prove to me that you are strong enough to survive." Toriel finished. The world around Frisk and Toriel darkened, and soon Frisk's SOUL glowed red. But she was surprised to see that Halcyon and Mary's SOULS were not.

Frisk was very confused.
