We are pleased to present you with this invitation to the Snow Gala!

The first ever Snow Gala will be hosted this December 21st at the palace! As our prestigious guest, you will be treated with luxurious food, enchanting music, and a splendid tour of the palace! Come enjoy yourself all night long with other distinguished individuals!

A butler is awaiting your reply at the entrance of Glittarius Street, who will also be your servant for the Gala should you accept this invitation.

Appearance: A true beauty, her pale blonde hair bounces into perfect shape all by itself, silver/blue/white eyes sparkling, not a single flaw. Special dresses are designed just for her, usually in shades of silver/blue/white.
Personality: To the common eye, she plays the very part she is meant to. The beautiful, delicate, little princess. But I'd be kidding you if I said it were that simple. A rebellious spark flares brighter by the day, counting down the days till the Gala with dread. It started as simple pranks. Then midnight excursions. Finally a plan to escape.
Backstory: Just like any other princess, she was pampered and beamed upon, showered with praise. Unlike any other princess, she didn't enjoy it. And the threat of an arranged marriage. She did her very best to rebel against her parents, and now, the day of the final prank is drawing ever closer.

Gearwatch was hot! Not to mention completely devoid of anything natural. Athena quickly located the building she was looking for, landed a fair distance away, far enough to avoid the pushing crowd, folded in her wings, and slipped her way through the mess of people. Or tried to slip her way though the mess of people. She earned herself quite a bit of protest and dirty looks, all of which she profousely apologized to.

Carefully pushing open the doors, she waved a slightly timid hello at the assembled people, and found a cool and shady spot in a corner.

Athena sat crosslegged in a pavilion made of ice, her gaze faraway and distant. An island had crumbled. Poof. Gone. Just like that. And those poor people still stuck on it... Her heart hurt just thinking about it. She hadn't seen Aetherhaven fall, it was too far away. But news spread quickly around here.

Suddenly, a white hawk, a rare kind of bird only found on Snowburn, landed on her arm. It carried a recording device in its talons. Smiling and stroking the bird for a while, Athena pressed the play button, wincing slightly as the sharp voice spoke.

Hello Half-Genius!

As you may have just witnessed, Aetherhaven has plummeted. This is our first island ever falling, so I assume there has been a panic throughout the Island you've been left to manage, no? Well, it's all being taken care of! Half of you Half-Geniuses will stay behind and manage the Islands, and the other half will have to find whoever did this. You may converse amongst yourselves at the base in Gearwatch. We hope you'll accept this task for the sake of Gearborne, as we do not need any more lives lost."

Pocketing the device, Athena stood up, stirring up a flurry of birds. Spreading her wings, she took off, quite a few of the birds following behind her. They wouldn't be able to follow her far. But there was nothing like having birds send you off.

Welp, time to contemplate her life choices. Sitting down on the same chair as when Kendo was here. And stared out the same nonexistent window. Yeah, not the best place for a scene like this, but where else could she go? She couldn't fly, didn't feel like moving, and probably wouldn't be able to do much anyways. More on that later.

First of all, what the hell had just happened!? One moment everything was fine. She was safe and successful. Then suddenly, she was plumetting downwards, losinig control. Ending up at the bottom of a dark pit. Quite literally. Her wing had been injured. Someone had sneaked into her home, and even if they'd mended her wing, they knew she had wings. And where she lived. What she looked like. Her 'profession'. Hunting them down just made things more complicated. Already the memories she'd erased were starting to come back. Then she'd gone and snapped at Kendo, who wasn't even involved in the whole thing. Aaaaaaannnnnnnnddddddd landed herself in jail. But that was the best part, really. But of course, life just had to plunge her down another few meters. She'd relied, on some random person, to help her escape. It was unthinkable! In all the worse case scenarios she'd prepared for, this was not one of them. She'd promised herself never to rely on anyone, much less some random guy off the street. She made her own escapes, she didn't need someone to help her! Yet...

Here she was. Tired. Confused. Useless. Stuck. Very very stuck.

"No no nonononono!" They were too late. She was too late. Once again, she had stood by, useless, stuck, too weak to do anything. Athena stared at the void and sparkles of light where Elucian had last stood, frozen.

Suddenly, she tore her gaze away and ran. Ran, ran, ran like the wind, tears spilling from her eyes. Away from all this. If Elucian and Kendo thought they had done the right thing killing themselves, they hadn't. Once had pushed her to the edge. Twice had pushed her over.

Why did Elucian have to do it!? Just when she thought they could be together again, when they'd gotten their happily ever after. She didn't care what their reasons were. They wouldn't be around to explain it anyways.

She was leaving. She'd had enough of this twisted world. She'd tried her best, her hardest, to stay strong. Move on. Keep going. But she couldn't. Not anymore. There was nothing left to be here for.

But unlike certain people, she wasn't a coward. Death wasn't the answer to everything. She didn't seek refuge in it. Over time she would forget, forge her own path, as far away as possible. She wasn't coming back.
