The scene changed. The Wanderer and the Traveler experienced what they were going through, memory hopping. The Wanderer wanted all of Scaramouche’s memories. The Everlasting Lord, the last line of defense for protection of his memories fought them. A bright flash, and a whirl of wind. A gift from the Gods. An Anemo vision The Wanderer was snarky. But he was still the Wanderer. He pledged his allegiance to Kusanali, and he asked for a name from the Traveler. Makoto. Suddenly— the two were back in the house. It was as if nothing had changed. Almost like it was responding to Mercy, the memory rewound. A puppet lay alone in the Shakkei Pavillion. It woke up, and began to wander the world. Nothing of note happened to it. It swapped its clothes from the silk to a better— familiar— outfit. “Traveler” “Drifter” “Wanderer” He was called many things, and had no name of his own. “…you’re a puppet” The Traveler said, and the Wanderer was brought to Kusanali [Read more] |

A scene change. He was in the Sanctuary of Surasthana. “Balladeer, you’re awake” the Dendro goddess said. “…Buer…” “You were in a coma for a month.” “… I see” Scaramouche was in the Sanctuary for a while. A deal was struck. He would take the Traveler into Irminsul. “Huh…wait…anonymous data…?” A Memory was shown. “...Mr. Niwa, are you certain this is worth the risk? We are talking about Tatarasuna's furnace, after all. It may not pay to act rashly...” “There's no one else who can enter the furnace. It has to be me.” “Is that so...?” The voice sighs “Well, since you insist...” “What have we gained from adopting your new technology? Ominous, black smoke, mounting production problems... Worker fatigue and casualties are up, and continuing to rise at an alarming rate, and recently, as you well know, someone died because of that strange filth inside the furnace. We've kept the truth from spreading outside, but still, I suspect you understand it better than I do. None of the people who went out to get help have come back. Now, our mutual friend, the kabukimono, is taking the golden feather to Narukami Island to seek an audience with the Shogun. This is our last hope.” Niwa said, staring at the man known as Escher. “But that doesn't faze you, does it, Escher? Nothing does... Otherwise, why would you still be standing there with that smile on your face?” “I'm just surprised that you finally chose to be so sincere. I'm sure you've been harboring these suspicions for quite some time.” Escher smirked. … “Drop the act. We're past that now. Whoever you are, it looks like your plan to destroy Tatarasuna has worked. I just want to know what you're still doing here. What's left? Don't you have all your answers by now?” Niwa glared at Escher, tensions were rising high. “Honestly, I'm just waiting for the right moment.” A quick movement, and Niwa was stabbed in the stomach and he fell to the ground. “A moment like this where you finish talking and I stop you from entering the furnace.” Escher revealed that his true intentions were to have the Kabukimono go into the furnace. Niwa was horrified. Scaramouche and the Traveler were horrified. … “If you give him... my heart... tell him that both Nagamasa... and I... see him as... one of us. He has nothing to prove to anyone... because not everyone... just wants to use other people. The only ones who think like that... are people like you...” Niwa breathed his final words. It was then that Escher had dropped his disguise. He was not a simple mechanic from Fontaine. He was Dottore. And. His experiment went as planned. The Memory stopped. The Balladeer did not cope well. After a few moments of talking about the Traveler’s sibling, he takes the Traveler by hand. “In this world, is it possible... to change the past?” The Traveler’s hesitation was all he needed. Within the minute, he entered Irminsul, erasing himself completely. [Read more] |

The Traveler moved to fight the mech, and got slammed down. He grabbed the Dendro Archon- The Traveler moved to fight the mech, dodged the first attack then got blown away by a gale of wind. He grabbed the Dendro Archon ……… The Traveler was proving a tough enemy. But still, he was impervious. He grabbed the Dendro Archon and— “Data Collection Complete” A samsara. His body was destroyed. He never had a chance, did he? The mech was destroyed. He could barely move. The Gnosis was being taken. “No— wait— please—!” He struggled, reaching out for the Gnosis, the “strings” attached to his back strained to keep him in place. Finally, he reached out far enough— Snap He fell to the ground in a matter of seconds. [Read more] |

“Scaramouche. What if I told you I could make you a God?” The Doctor said. “I’d call you delusional. What do you need from me?” Scaramouche said, smirking. “Your Gnosis, and your cooperation” The Gnosis was handed over once again. Almost 9 months of building, assembling, and attaching. Divine Knowledge capsules attained. He was hooked up in the Mech. He couldn’t leave. The Everlasting Lord was almost complete. And then the Traveler, Paimon, and the weak Goddess of Dendro, Buer appeared. She used some sort of Dendro magic. It did nothing to him [Read more] |

The destruction of the Raiden Gokaden. He stopped once he realized it was Niwa’s bloodline he was harming. As much as he harbored hatred towards the man… The various odd tasks he did for the other Harbingers. That’s all he was useful for. The maintenance with Dottore… The discovery of Pilate’s Peak and the truth about the sky… All these memories came fast and quick. Then, the delusion factory. “What are you offering? Since you value their life so much.” He asked, the traveler and Paimon’s limp body on the ground. “Something you can’t refuse” The pink-haired Shrine lady said, holding up a violet chess-looking piece. He took it and he didn’t look back, fleeing Inazuma. And then met up with Dottore. [Read more] |

The Kabukimono lit a match. In the end the entire house and everything in it burned. Except for him. He could not burn. The scene changed, and a masked man was in front of him. His voice was vaguely familiar to Mercy. He offered to let the Kabukimono join the Fatui. He accepted. “What is your name, if I dare ask?” Asked the Doctor. “I have none” Replied the Puppet. The next scenes were horrifying. Experimentation that should have not been possible. And then came the Abyss. Dismantled, destroyed over and over and over again until he would not break any more. A woman of ice sat before him on a throne. “Puppet, your new name shall be Scaramouche. You will be the 6th Harbinger” Scaramouche smiled coldly. [Read more] |

They were on the seaside now. A young boy could be seen, caked in dirt and coughing. The Kabukimono saw this child, and they grew close. He stole furniture, foraged for food, all for the boy. It was sweet. He was hardly away from the boy. But the boy still looked sickly. “It’s for you!” The boy said, coughing slightly, handing the Kabukimono a little doll. He held it tenderly. “Thank you…” His hand trembled, before handing it back to the boy “But… you should keep it… You don’t have a lot of toys…” The scene changed. It seemed some time passed. “I’m going to get some lavender melon… you should stay here… you look tired” “But I’m-“ The boy started coughing “…okay” The Kabukimono set out on his own, gathering Lavender Melon. He returned with a smile on his face to greet the boy— —Who lay on the ground in front of him, stilled. The fruits fell to the ground. [Read more] |

They were back at the forge. “Escher… where’s Niwa…?” Kabukimono asked a man with grey hair. “… It truly is tragic. Not too long ago he committed a terrible, terrible act and fled with his family. He left us to die. However, my device is complete, and you, Kabukimono, you are just what we need. Take this” Escher handed him a box. It seemed to be slightly heavy. “Place this in your chest. Go into the heart of the furnace, shut it down.” The Kabukimono, dejected, walked into the furnace. His fingers were charred, but he seemed to be protected. The furnace was quickly shut down. He was exhausted, but he managed to speak. “This device seems to have protected me. What's in it? “Niwa fled this place for fear of punishment, but he left you a gift. He said it's the one thing that you've been looking for... He took it straight from the chest of one of his innocent servants.” Escher said, removing a withered heart from the device and placed it in the puppet’s. The Kabukimono, upset and horrified, threw the heart to the ground and fled. [Read more] |

The scene changed again. It was evident there was something wrong, black smoke poured out of the forge, there were sickly people everywhere. Medical teams trying their best. “Kabukimono, you can’t be serious— countless of ships have gone out and none of them returned. We can’t risk you!” A man said, watching the puppet tie his veil against his body as he prepared to leave. “Sir Nagamasa- I’m the only one here who can guarantee an audience with the Shogun! She’ll listen to me, I know it—“ He held up the golden feather that dangled from his neck. (Meanwhile, Makoto rubbed his similar feather that was attached to his vision) “And if it doesn’t work— Escher says he has his device!” “You—“ The Nagamasa was cut off by the red-streak man. “Let him go, Nagamasa. He has a point” The scene shifted again. The Kabukimono was pleading with the guards in the city. “She’ll want to see me! She will! Look!” A young shrine maiden with Pink hair appeared after some hours. She offers aid of her own, but it’s clear the Kabukimono does not believe her at all, his facial expression saying it all. The scene seemed to change quickly. It started with Katsuragi introducing the Puppet to the forge (and more comedically, just him drinking all the tea that’s handed to him). Then it showed him getting used to life, being introduced to human concepts like using forks and forging. He was exceptionally close to a man with brown hair with a red streak in it. Nothing was wrong with the scene. [Read more] |

The two conversed. “My name is Katsuragi… that feather… This gold ornament is a proof of identity granted by the Almighty Shogun…but as you travel the world, please bear this in mind… Never to reveal your identity to others” The man looked at the puppet, who looked confused, but nodded anyway. They set off somewhere, and the scene changed. They were now in a forge. [Read more] |

The man was mumbling to himself, in awe of the mansion. Suddenly, he stopped, surprised by something. “Y—You're awake!? What happened? How'd you get stuck here? Are you injured? Huh, not a scratch... and these fine clothes... Who are you...?” He pulled up a young… puppet? He was dressed in clearly expensive clothing, white and purple silks, an elaborately designed veil, and wore a golden feather on a rope around his neck. He had long, indigo hair, and an absent expression in his violet eyes. “I was… sleeping…” The puppet said, looking up at the man [Read more] |
