In a relatively small village, nestled deep within the mountains, lies a mansion. Not much is known about the history of the mansion, some say it must've appeared overnight, but even less is known about it's mysterious owner. The only facts known are that her name is (possibly) Anniba, she is incredibly wealthy, and every year, she's held a competition; anyone who manages to live in the mansion, for an entire month, will receive a huge sum of cash, have all their debts erased, and may live in the mansion for the rest of their natural lives, should they chose to do so. No one's managed to stay longer than a week.
Are you brave enough to face whatever horrors you may encounter?

-All guests are to keep out of the western wing, and the kitchens, unless supervised by a, "staff member"

Roselle cackled loudly, hooking her legs over the branch she sat on, and hanging upside-down. "Ooooh, lookie-look! He looks a heckuva lot more normal, right Bubs?" She asked, her tail nodding along. She blinked curiously.

Luc shook her head. "They could be for defense, or attracting mates-" she pointed out, before shaking her head again. "Though, it's much safer to assume they are." She murmured. "Hope everyone's okay.."

Roselle chirped quietly as she stared down at a parculiar creature, which seemed to be staring pretty intensely at something. "What'da think it is, Bubs?" She whispered loudly to her tail, before it snapped it's jaws a few times. "Nah! Couldn't be! He doesn't even have a tail!" She said, a bit louder than she'd intended.

Luc stopped after a bit of running, panting heavily. "Sure hope those weren't predators-" she murmured, wiping her forhead.

Luc shouted out as the strange creature leapt onto her, and she quickly threw her arms up to protect her face and neck. She glanced down, feeling something nibble at her shoes, feeling a sudden morbid curiosity about the strange tail. She looked about, trying to find something to defend herself with.

Roselle tilted her head curiously, staring down at the scene below her as she petted Bubble. She didn't recognize anyone- or anything- here. "Oopsie, Rosie got lost agaaain-" she murmured.

Luc immediately stood up, tense. She definitely didn't recognize that voice- and she was fairly certain there wouldn't be anyone else in the middle of nowhere. She turned, staring at a vaguely human-like creature. "I don't have fur. Or a tail. And my ears are fine." She said sharply, holding a hand on her hip. "What are you?" She demanded quickly.

Roselle giggled, creeping along towards the sound of a commotion. Bubble snapped it's jaws excitedly.

Roselle yawned loudly, stretching herself out on the rock she was currently laying on. She moved around, trying to get comfortable again ad Bubble snapped at a few butterflies that'd floated by. She flicked her ears forward ss she heard something move about in the forest. "Huuuh?-" she murmured, sitting up.

Luc sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. She was supposed to have been looking for a campsite, or somewhere to spend the night, but instead, she was forced to go looking for something to eat. Everything she'd packed had been somehow eaten, despite it being in a very secure case. She shook her head again, staring at the ground and hoping to find some mushrooms, or even bugs.
