Celine regretted switching hospitals. The City Of God was far better suited for her than Prosperity ever was. Why did she ever listen to her superior’s advice to work in Prosperity instead? Life here was so much more chaotic yet peaceful. Sure, Celine had much fewer patients, but the city was so bustling and full of life, so much ‘noisier’ than the City of God. Even the hospital she worked in had no peace. The chatter was way too loud, for both her and the patients, and shushing them did no good. Celine runs her fingers through her hair, sighing. She checks her clipboard, pulling out someone’s profile, scanning briefly through the details and given diagnosis. A broken limb…fractured rib, bruised body and suspected internal bleeding. Brilliant. Who decided to give a bunch of human beings powers anyways? It certainly made things much harder, giving irrational, emotional human beings power that could be used for both good and bad. She walks over to the patients bed, hands hovering over the injuries and closing her eyes. A soft warm golden glow enveloped the patient, as the rib mended itself and the bone got replaced with a newer one. Once she was done, she did a last check, before deciding he was healed and gently shooing him out to pay. Or something. She removes the bedsheets and replace them, catching sight of herself in the mirror. Present Celine looked so much better than Past Celine. No more eyebags, frazzled hair or permanently frowning face. With much less people, less people got injured and Celine received a quarter of her usual patient load in Prosperity. Which meant much more rest and less stress.

She finished her work, before heading to the staff lounge for a break. She was immediately greeted by a dragon-shaped figure, whose cerulean scales shimmered and shifted like the moving surface of water. “Hi, Kai…” She mumbles, affectionately scratching its back. Kai gave a satisfied purr, before curling up and snoozing on Celine’s lap.

As the hall filled up, Andrea kept getting up to greet people. She was quite determined to get the cloud girl before Jack could, but that didn’t mean she was going to stop there. One man in particular took his seat right next to Andrea, kissing her hand in greeting. He was dressed to the nines, and was clearly filthy rich. She points to Kendo’s profile, and one other Newbury student, whispering something to him. The man nods, giving her a smile, to which she returns, before facing the front and looking mighty pleased with herself.

Andrea swept into the hall shortly after Jack, holding her palm up and looking expectantly at a black clad figure. He passed a black binder to her. Peering through her mask, she scanned the crowd, eventually spotting the binder she was looking for. Seating next to Jack, she shows her the list of people to be auctioned, whispering “Your cloud girl is amongst the first few. Better make sure you have enough money to auction for her, just in case. Prices for young girls like her can go way, way up. This place is filled with creeps who especially love pretty young girls like her. And my sister.” She hands over the binder, then continues. “After the auction, you’ll need to actually get her. That requires a special pass to verify that you’re a certified buyer of the organisation. Just nick it from one of them, if you’re capable of that. And don’t forget about our deal, or I’ll ensure your girl goes to one of those creeps.” She gets up, walking away from Jack, taking a seat at the very back.

ᴀʀᴄᴀɴᴇ | ᴋᴀʟᴏɴ | ᴀᴢᴜʀᴀ
Name: Celine Elyanna Lux
Age: 23
Ability:
Gaia’s Alchemist
Ice and various prickly vines shoot up from the ground, randomly in a circle around Celine of a radius of two meters. Celine has no control over this power, and her emotions heavily impact her powers, particularly negative ones.
Nyx’s Embrace
Celine can shroud anything in darkness for a period of time, leaving anyone within the darkness completely blind. She can also use the shadows to hide and teleport from place to place.
Hygieia’s Touch
Celine’s healing powers are probably one of her strongest “abilities”, given that she works as a healer. She is able to heal anything from minor abrasions to fatal wounds, but she cannot replace any organs. Naturally, the severity of the wound also determines the amount of energy she has to use up.
Animangenesis
Whilst extremely painful for Celine, she is able to split her soul as many times as she wants to create sentient beings of her own. These beings can take on any shape or form, and can do anything a regular human can. These beings have no superpowers, but their physique is unmatched to other normal humans. The only limitation to how many beings she creates is that she cannot split her “core soul”. She currently has two of these sentient beings. (Will detail more later)
City of Origin: The City of God
Personality:
ISFJ The Caregiver | 2w1 The Companion

But they rarely demand recognition for all that they do, preferring instead to operate behind the scenes.

Jasmine was a walking disaster, She was extremely confused and lost, after hallucinating and then waking up in a completely new surrounding.

Maybe she had learned how to teleport. Or it was witchcraft. Or sorcery. Or maybe she was just stupid. Either way, the best plan now was to head towards the train station. Jasmine set off, walking briskly, deep in thought. First of all- was she not supposed to be dead. According to all known laws of science, a blast like that should have killed her, should it not? Common sense told her that she shouldn’t be breathing, let alone treading the surface of the earth. But here she was. Maybe this was what the gateway to the afterlife looked like, and she truly was dead. But that didn’t seem right either. Deep down, she had a strong feeling that she was alive. And that thing that had talked to her….what the hell was that about? Seeking her aid…going on a rescue mission or something like that.

She had no more time to dwell on the matter, however, as she was jolted back to reality by the sounds of her Pokémon “yelling” at her, as Clara, Chloe, Zoey and Kaili all grabbed the bottom of her skirt and yanked her back from the cliff’s edge. “Whoaaa….thanks guys! Since when did the train station look like this?” Jasmine wondered aloud, only to be smacked by Kaili as it chirped annoyedly at her, gesturing to the cliff and then to the path towards the town behind her. “Oh..yeah I see what you mean. This is definitely not the right way.” She scratches her head in confusion, before sitting down to calm herself and get her act together. She wasn’t going to find the train station in this state.

The nation of Panem is divided into 12 districts, ruled from the Capitol. As punishment for a failed revolt, each district is forced to select two tributes, one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18, to fight to the death in the annual Hunger Games until there is only one survivor. This year, though, is different. The Capitol wishes to try out this special….serum. One that will grant you a power, any power, depending on the person. The same rules still apply though, so may the strongest survive!

Lifei Vaknov | Loving Mother

The warm glow of the sun slowly got brighter as Lifei tinkered with a piece of sea glass. She had been up all night working on her newest creation, a mechanical dragon with blue green glass eyes. Callused hands raked over the sharp shard, moulding it to a more circular shape. Long locks of blue-green hair fell past her ears, hiding her face from the sun’s glow. Lifei understood the fear of being chosen, or in the case of certain crackheads, joy in being chosen for the Reaping. Understanding didn’t mean she like it though. She wished everyone would just shut up. No point panicking when it was all a game of chance. Careful hands moved the final piece in place, and with a soft whir, her creation came to life. It flapped around unsteadily, before perching on her shoulder. Two clicks of her finger and the dragon could blink it’s eyes, one click to make it sit. The more complex movements were controlled by a complicated piece of metal shaped to fit her fingernails. She slid the metal bit onto her fingernail, hearing the satisfying click of it locking. She then taps out a certain pattern, and the dragon flies into the air, transforming into a sharp metal shard, flying towards Lifei. With her free hand, she caught the metal shard with two fingers. That would need just a tad more tinkering for it to fly towards a desired target. She dismantled its wings, and began fiddling with it. “Lili? Lili, time to go!” The voice of one of her only….no, her only friend reminded her. The two of them owned a small, shady store that earned barely enough to keep them afloat. Time to time, they had to resort to pickpocketing. She remembered when her friend stole money to buy her a present for her birthday. Her….birthday. What a funny word indeed. Celebrating each year you inched closer to death. Walking over to the drawer in the corner of the room, Lifei took out a metal hummingbird. Fingers delicately wiped the dust off, and it came to life with yet another controller. She slipped the metal ring on her ring finger, taking in the soft hum of the wings. “Once more, Ping. One more thing to do before the reaping. Waving goodbye to her friend, she set out of the house with her two mechanical animals, heading towards that horrendously pink house belonging to her despicable mother. She directed the bird into a beautifully decorated cage, then stepped up to ring the doorbell of her mother’s house. “Mother? I’m here again, I have a gift to give you before the Reaping.” Her mother opened the door with a sickeningly sweet smile that made Lifei want to throw up last night’s cold leftovers, Lifei grit her teeth and smiled back, passing Ping over to her, in the cage. “It’s an Anna’s Hummingbird. It looks very pretty and pink, just like you” Lifei lies. Her mother took it, and offered “Would you like to come in?” Lifei declined, and turned to ‘go’. The moment her mother entered her house, she opened the cage to let the hummingbird out. Lifei smirked, and she snapped her fingers, prompting Ping to transform into a spear like object, and hurtle towards her mother. Moments later, Ping returned, beak stained with blood. “Good job darling” Lifei purrs, before stepping into the house. She rips the diamond necklace off her mother’s neck, proceeding to collect the jewelry pieces and cash swiftly and silently. She exits through the back door, doubling back to her little hut, and placing it neatly on the bed for her friend to find. If she got chosen and died during the Hunger Games, at least her friend would be able to live happily. Lifei walked back out, and headed towards the place where the Reaping would take place.

Lilith Amberstar | The Tiny Doll

Lilith woke up to the sound of her mother’s voice, telling her to get up. Pushing silk sheets aside, she clambered out of bed, taking her sweet time to recalibrate her senses. She then proceeded to her walk-in closet, where her maid was waiting. “Miss Lilith, here is your outfit for today.” She flashes the maid a smile, gesturing for her to leave. The outfit today was an elegant yet simple black dress, along with pants with all sorts of pockets to hide things in. She combed her hair in front of the mirror, tying them into two plaits, adding red ribbons for the final touch. Lilith then slips on a pair of kid boots, lined with real polar bear fur on the inside, each with a pearl embedded on the buckle. She stares at herself in the mirror, placing one hand adoringly on her reflection. “No one could be as beautiful and youthful as I am…otherwise” Lilith giggles, then skips out of the bedroom for breakfast. No one could capture the elegance and charm that Lilith possessed, her district’s poster girl. Breakfast today was a spread of her favourite foods, with waffles buttered just right, omelets that were cooked to perfection, among other delicious dishes. Her mother fussed over her, worrying. “My little baby Lilith, all grown up and just the age for being reaped….ohhh it’s such a pity.” Her mother choked on her words, bursting into tears and leaving Lilith alone. She sighed in relief, that woman was overprotective, pretentious and highly irritating. Lilith rolled her eyes, her mother’s pathetic cries still audible. “My poor baby….she must be so worried, so frightened.” Her mother was far from the truth. Lilith was dying to be picked for the Hunger Games, and with no one from her District wanting to go, Lilith was sure they would be thankful for her. She hops off her chair, picking up her lollipop ready to head out. Unfortunately, yet another thing was in her way again, this time her annoying tutor. “You stupid fool, I’m not having lessons today. I’m going to go to the Reaping!” Her teacher puts his foot between the door, preventing Lilith from slamming it in his face. “Ugh, you’re so annoying, can’t you leave?” Lilith tries to squeeze past him to no avail, and he enters, shutting the door behind him. “We’re having lessons, like it or not. Now, I’m thirsty, so get me a drink before lesson starts” He announces, looking triumphant. “Fine fine, I’ll get you something to drink.” Lilith replies, her lips slowly twitching into a smile. She headed to the kitchen, getting a fancy wine glass to put the water in. She then unlocks a secret cupboard with a key around her neck, taking out a small blue pill that fizzled and turned colorless in the water. It was a handy, undetectable pill that would guarantee a satisfactory reaction. She hands it over to her teacher, watching as he downs it. “Thank you, now we really should begin after wasting so much time with your stupid prattle.” Lilith flashes him a psychotic grin, watching as his face contorts in horror. “What did you put in my drink?” He questions. Lilith doesn’t answer, messing up her hair and appearance in the mirror, before running to her mother, pretending to cry. “He abused me, Mother. Deal with him. He’s so mean to me” Her mother, concerned, jumps into action, and Lilith takes the time to smirk at the teacher as he is being dragged away, childishly pulling a face at him, throwing the finger before skipping out of the house despite her Mother’s protests. “I’m going to the Rea-ping, I’m going to the Rea-ping, there’s nothing you can do~“

“You want to know about my second sister? Well, you’ll probably find all the information in there, Andrea probably even knows more about her than I do. I’m sure you aren’t in the mood to hear sappy stories of spending time with her, being a loving sister and all that, so I suggest you read the folder then ask me questions if your info is incomplete. Asking me to share my story and information about her is a completed waste of time, especially since unlike my sister, I actually have some form of emotional attachment to her. And given the events that have occured, I’m sure we shouldn’t be wasting time. From what I know of Andrea, and the Masquerade, they are usually very quick in auctioning their captives. Andrea received the money just a day after she sold my sister.”

Jasmine is understandably confused and angry over the fact that Jack suddenly had any interest in her. After all, Jack had seemingly ignored Jasmine’s existence up till the point where she knew that Jasmine could possibly be of help in saving Kendo and Sera. As far as Jasmine was concerned, she was certainly going to reciprocate the attitude of Jack towards her, though definitely not to the extent of Kendo and Sera’s lives, of course.

She looks Athena up and down, before confirming. “Yes, Lediana is right to say that The Masquerade used to use an old weapons factory south of the Rotting Marshes as a slave auctioning venue. But they have several auctioning venues, so there might be a small chance is not the one. That weapons factory is the one my sister got sold at though.”

“I don’t know where my sister is. I can go back in time to find her though, won’t take long. But I trust you’re smart enough to find her, I’ll go head to the meeting point first!” Andrea was being deliberately annoying, and she knew it. Not too long after Andrea left Jack, Jasmine walked by, seemingly unaware that Jack was there, waving to Athena then continuing her journey, heading to goodness knows where.

Andrea falls to the ground, allowing herself to get caught in the cage whilst acting like a dramatic damsel in distress. “Oh no! What a shame! Another student here to waste time and prolong the rescuers from saving Kendo and Sera! How long will it take to remove this cage I’m trapped in, I wonder? That time might just be enough to get Kendo or Sera injured. My, my, what a disaster, we wouldn’t want that now, would we? Dear Jack, do free me from my prison, and get this idiot girl to come to her senses before it’s too late to save your beloved daughter and husband. You know very well I can’t possibly guide you to the Masquerade’s base if I’m stuck here, right?”

Andrea hands over a dark blue folder, with a picture of a girl who looked like a combination of Andrea and Jasmine pinned to the cover. “You’ll find all the information you could possibly need to know here.” Upon hearing Jack’s next words, she smiles. “See, I’m cruel because I have goals to achieve. Goals that I believe will be beneficial to everyone in the end. And yes, while you may be supposedly ‘kind at heart’, you’re only listening to me because I can help free Kendo and Sera. If it was not for the information I possessed, I think I wouldn’t be able to get through to the cold, stoic and strict prefect Jackery Soot. Kendo would’ve been a much bigger source of help…” She mumbles that last bit under her breath. Andrea grins, rocking about in her seated position, before speaking again, her voice cheery and unbothered. “Y’know if Kendo and Sera get severely injured or die it’s technically also your fault for dawdling right? And killing me won’t bring them back to life either. In fact, it’ll worsen things, deprive you of another opportunity to try again.” She hops out of the singularity, giggles as she dusts her skirt off, before leaning casually against the wall and waiting for Jack to lead the way.

“Well, you’ve still seen Jasmine around in this school haven’t you? So clearly it can’t be her I sold. And since I’m feeling generous, I suppose I’ll take you up on your offer. When do you want to start? I suggest persuading Jasmine to come along. That girl will not travel anywhere with me.” She sits down, in no rush at all, well aware that the lives of Kendo and Sera were in danger if they didn’t hurry up, as she waits for Jack to take further action.

ᴊᴀsᴍɪɴᴇ [ᴅᴜsᴋ’s sʏᴍᴘʜᴏɴʏ]

there was once an inseparable pair of sisters, who were never seen without the other. Both sisters were beautiful, said to have been blessed by the gods. And then the fateful orphanage fire…..their relationship only worsened from there, the older moving to Piltover, her intelligence and charm allowing her to flourish, whilst the younger, bitter and betrayed, remained in Zaun.

Jasmine sat quietly by the fire, leaning against her friend as they watched the embers dance. Zaun was far from perfect, and probably the most underdeveloped place on earth, but honestly? She’d rather be here in this hellhole than up in heaven with that devil. She slowly drifted off into slumber, surrounded by the warmth of the fire and people she could actually trust.

“Jas…I have an idea….d’you want to play a game with me?” It was the afternoon, and the other kids were currently taking their scheduled nap. Andrea was wide awake, tugging on the tattered sleeve of Jasmine’s nightgown. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, Jasmine sat up, yawning “Mmm…okie. What game do you have in mind, Drea?” And with her approval, Andrea leapt up from her position on the bed and dragged Jasmine along, heading to the kitchen. To get there, however, they had to sneak past Nurse Willow. A kind nurse who took care of all the children in the orphanage, an angelic mother figure who was loved by all. Jasmine takes one look at Nurse Willow patrolling the corridor to the staircase, and appears to regret their actions. “Drea…I think we should go back to bed. Mama Willow wouldn’t be very pleased with us, would she?” Andrea laughed, before facing her sister. “Mama Willow? Don’t be silly, Jas. She hates you! I overheard her talking to Overseer, she hates you so much she wants to do everything she can to get rid of you! She’s a bad, bad person, Jas. And bad people should be punished, ok? Let’s push her down the stairs to teach her a lesson.” Jas recoils in shock. “P-Push Mama Willow? But she’s….she’s….” Jasmine was both fearful and confused. Why did Nurse Willow hate her? And even…even if she did hate her, wasn’t pushing her down the stairs a tad dangerous? Andrea, sensing her sister’s hesitation, begins to tear up, sniffling pitifully and she begs Jasmine “Jas-Jas…aren’t I your sister? I know what’s best for you, okay? Trust me.” Jasmine couldn’t bear to see Andrea cry. It’s all my fault…if I don’t do it, she’ll hate me, and I won’t have been a good sister… She thought, before agreeing with Andrea. On Andrea's command, Willow sneaked up behind Nurse Willow, and gave her a hard shove. The nurse tumbled down the stairs, before her skull hit the wall with a sickening crunch. Andrea stood at the top, grinning maniacally, whilst Jasmine looked on, half scared, half happy that she had made Andrea happy. “She deserved it Jas…Now come on, let’s go play shadow puppets with the gas stove fire.” In the kitchen, Andrea gestures for Jasmine to turn on the stove, and the two had a lovely time together acting out one of their old shadow puppet plays. Both faces were alight with glee, and when they had finished, Andrea claps her hands together, before dragging Jasmine out the orphanage door. “Come, Jas. To end off our perfect sister outing, let’s go get some snacks!” Jasmine went along with her sister, forgetting about the fire on the gas stove…….The two turned their backs to the orphanage, skipping happily as the orphanage behind them slowly went up in flames….the children never to wake up again. And then Andrea blamed it all on Jasmine, again. Saying it was all her fault…

Jasmine jolted awake, huffing as she realized it was just a dream. She glared at the fire, dousing it as she helped her friend up and left their house to do…something else.

ᴀɴᴅʀᴇᴀ [ᴅᴀᴡɴ’s ᴅɪssᴏɴᴀɴᴄᴇ]

Andrea had just been painting, when she was approached by a young girl clutching a handful of daisies, wearing a pretty summer dress. “Sister Andrea, Sister Andrea! Today’s Progress Day! Are you coming?” Andrea smiles at the young girl, putting down her paintbrush. “Later, my little buttercup. I must attend to other matters first.” Satisfied with Andrea’s response, the girl skips away, exclaiming “Can’t wait to see you there! I’ll tell the others to come too!” Whilst Andrea was nowhere as clever or creative as Yvonne, she still had a following of her own, composed of many children and promising young talents. Her charm and beauty was just as alluring as her personality, making her an inspiration in others eyes. Andrea picks up her artwork, putting it aside for another day, then heading to wash her paintbrushes and freshen up. She had almost forgotten…Progress Day. Not that she wasn’t planning to go, of course, she had just lost track of time painting and forging bonds. How could she have forgotten such an important event? Progress Day was the perfect day to croon over and praise more young talents, to coerce and sweet talk them into pledging their loyalty to her by showing them her supposed adoration and support. She freshens up, putting on a clean, unstained dress and heading out. She was soon followed by a small group of “her” children, who all clustered around to get her attention, trying to get her approval for the projects they had been walking on. She smiled as she floated from one place to another, listening intently to the energetic explanations of the young ones as they rattled on about their projects. She encountered many alchemists, researchers alike, all proudly showing off their works, complimenting them and praising them for being so creative, promising them that if they continued this way they would succeed…blah blah blah and all that typical prattle that would warm their little hearts and allow Andrea to gain their favor.

Name: Andrea

Age: 18

Origen: Piltover

Gender and Sexuality: Female, Bi

Personality: INTJ The Intellectual | 5w4 The Philosopher | Sagittarius

She is confident, analytical, and ambitious in their behavior. Andrea loves to pursue knowledge and tend to be very logically minded. She tends to listen to her strong intuition and loves to see how everything connects together. She is focused on the bigger picture and may overlook small details.
Intellectuals are very logical and rational. She bases her decisions on what makes sense and might have a harder time connecting emotionally. Andrea is organized and prefer following a plan, loving to set and achieve goals.
Probably one of the more mentally unstable ones, Andrea is narcissistic and passive aggressive. She is described as a cynical, sadistic and psychopathic person, having long lost the very essence of what it means to be human. She is smart, not just in terms of intellect but also street smarts. But above all, she is manipulative. Is she ever truly on anyone’s side? She can be a saint, she can be a devil, a sweetheart or a monster, depending on her audience.

Name: Jasmine

Origen: Zaun

Gender and Sexuality: Female, Lesbian, Asexual

Personality: INTJ The Intellectual | 3w4 The Expert | Sagittarius

Like Andrea, Jasmine is logical. Where she falls in intellect she makes up for in agility and other physical areas. Jasmine is more of a shadow, quiet, reserved and often unnoticeable. She is highly independent, and only does the work if it aligns with her beliefs. However, unlike Andrea, Jasmine prefers getting her hands dirty, killing and injuring others with elegance. Jasmine is easily able to differentiate truth from lies, and will win any argument she can, often criticising others for making fallacious statements.

Imagine if you can a beautiful young woman, perhaps the most beautiful woman you have ever seen. That would be Andrea. Hair a raven black color, one would notice the way the light catches in it and it shimmers as it flows with her every move. Her hair is very lengthy reaching down to the middle of her torso, so long in fact that it almost caresses the small of her back. If you were to run your fingers through her hair, it would feel as though you are touching some of the finest silken fabric ever woven. Soft, and almost liquid like, Andrea’s hair would flow over your fingers like water as you touch it. Her beautiful face is demanding of attention. It’s high cheekbones calling your eyes to the statuesque bone structure underlying its gentleness. She has been graced with a look that could be that of royalty. She has heart shaped, rose colored lips that are always curved into a slight smile. The slight hint of moisture on her lips making them glisten in the light, causing them to look as though they are really a reflection on the waters of a pond and not really a part of her at all. Her emerald green eyes staring back at you as though to pierce your very soul and derive your thoughts and feelings. You can see the different shades of green streaking through her eyes, making them appear to be alive just as fire does when it moves and flickers, or twisting figures of snakes. Andrea had eyes that could make one neglect all else and freeze in a state of mystified awe, or horror, and once she had set her eyes on her target, one could feel hypnotized by her piercing gaze, cold yet unwavering, then again warm and kind. But under that fragile and ethereal looking figure, lies something dark, something powerful and something sinister. Caused by hatred, anger, and a burning desire that clawed at her, it was a ball of negative emotion, one that she would channel each and every drop into her project and desire to keep her people safe.

As the leader of her people, she was very well loved, constantly promoting ideas that would benefit her people’s well-being, encouraging equality, and making sure no one lacked a roof over their head, a warm bed to sleep in, food to eat or clothes to wear. Boutiques, restaurants, arcades and almost anything you could think of, intricately weaved alongside nature. Unlike the humans, whose cities reeked of pollution, theirs was a world where nature and Saakri-Lumens shared peacefully, a near perfect world. Andrea stands on the balcony of one of the many towers in her home, staring plainly at the border, and the world of the humans. The humans had taken the world, shaped it for their own violent, destructive ways, not caring for Mother Nature at all. And yet, their technology was superb. Destructive, yes, but incredibly useful. She exhaled, a sigh echoing through her home. She gazes at the horizon that stretches across her entire field of view in the most spectacular fashion. A massive expanse of crystal clear water is all she can see ahead of her with a miniature sail boat proudly sailing along with its small white sails catching the little sea breeze. This same breeze caresses her skin, keeping it pleasantly warm in spite of the slowing fading sun, making me feel like it is hugging me warmly. The beautiful colour which seems to be a mix of orange and pink fills the dark blue sky and colours the puffy white clouds. The calm ocean reflects this most amazing colour in the way which only it can. The waves gently lull on the sandy shore, slowly breaking then receding, always gracefully touching one’s toes. The smell which these waves conjure is not fishy and disgusting as it sometimes is but rather soft and a little salty which just so luscious. The sea gulls circle in the air, occasionally landing or catch their food. One sea gull dives from the air only to lift itself up again as it nears the water, making a small V in the water behind it. She finds herself thinking that their world has grown and developed, becoming a world unlike the humans, free of most pollution. From another tower, she could observe an exotic forest, connected to the ones that grew along the unmarked borders. That forest was different, far more beautiful with lush, rare, greenery, cascading waterfalls, streams, flowers and animals of of shapes and sizes. The Saakri-Lumens were indeed blessed. She thought to herself. Such a peaceful world, where nothing could, or would go wrong

A storm raged, and the heavens broke forth with a storm rivalling the rage of the seven suns. Thunder crashed, and lightning streaked across a dark electric blue sky. The first thing the little girl noticed was the pungent smell of dead, rotting, flesh from all her fallen comrades and enemies. The cool wind that blows around her doesn't seem to help to get rid of the disgusting smell, in fact it brings additional smells; Smells of dust, smoke and blood from the surrounding area. These smells bring in feelings of anxiousness and nervousness as she has no idea if she would be the next target, would she be joining those already scattered on the ground in pieces after the next massive explosion? The floor is a bloody battlefield, streaked with crimson blood and dead bodies, bullet shells and pieces of metal.

As she ventured further into hell the screams and shouts from nearby soldiers gets progressively louder. Gunshots and explosions are sounding closer as she continued creeping further into depths of hell. Debris from explosions are landing closer and closer around her..

She finally reached a friendly base that is under enemy fire, a young Saakri-Lumen quickly pulls her down to the ground by her shoulder just as a bullet flies over her head ricocheting off the tree several meters behind her. As she started to move from the ground to a nearby cover dodging bullets and grenades the adrenalin she had been waiting for to kick in has finally decided to take part, making her senses more aware than before and speeding everything up giving her the strength to continue and allowing her to forget about the foul taste of dirt in her mouth. Too young. Too young to be fighting this war, too young to be forced into this chaos, this madness. And yet still here, living, breathing, and fighting.

The little girl finds cover and cower in fear hiding like a small scared child, the sounds of machine guns and explosives are all around her; she was terrified, even the adrenalin rush is not enough to calm her down.

As she looked up, she notice the shiny, metallic bullet shells, freshly spewed blood, body parts and debris splattered all over the ground. An unknown ally collapses as his head was just blown off by an enemy sniper in the distance.

A lone M16 with a fully loaded magazine is within her reach; she grabs the weapon's cold, metallic, handle getting ready to spring up, aim down the sight and kill the first enemy she spots. She gets up and start shooting like a rookie in training, spraying bullets everywhere. While she is shooting this gun she notice the spent bullet casings ejecting out of the chamber and landing on the ground next to her. The soft metallic clinging sound and the smell of gunpowder overpowers her nose, distracting her from important matters at hand and then a THUD!

Realizing she have been shot she drops to the ground behind the cover. She looks over to her left shoulder and sees where the bullet hither. She feels the warm blood that starts running down her arm and see the bullet still imbedded into her shoulder. Mercury red blood dripped on the ground. The pain is so unbearable that she starts screaming and shouting for a medic to come and rescue her; Hearing her screams a Saakri-Lumen blessed with the power of healing rushes over to her side and pulls her to a safer location. He then examines your shoulder, pulling out the bullet with a pair of pliers and heals her with a warm glow. Just in time to save her life…..but not his. The humans had started the war and her mom, the previous leader of the Saakri-Lumens has sworn to end it. She remembered the screams of anguish of her father in the failed peace treaty they had with the humans. “Please, I’m begging you, listen to us! We only want good for both our species, we want to flourish and benefit together. Don’t do this to us, we have no intention to harm you.” And then his head was slashed off, humans giving off triumphant yells as they tossed a grenade that weakened and confused the Saakri-Lumens, before carrying his head away, a signal of their victory. And them days later they attacked, leaving Andrea an orphan.

She was now older, the new leader after her mom had tragically died in battle. Shot by a human. A whole case of bullets emptied into her heart, another bullet to the head. Her mother didn’t escape in time. Andrea was only 6 when then incident happened, 6 when she crowned the new leader. She swore everything in her power she would keep the Saakri-Lumens safe back then, she would still uphold that promise now. Her eyes harden, her lips purse. Empty emotionless turquoise eyes stare into the mirror. She had grown up now. Things were different. She adjusted her coat, and headed to the town square. She had to give another speech soon….she wouldn’t want to be late. Besides, leaving early would give her a chance to make a small detour. Nobody noticed as her figure weaved through the crowd, and with barely a side glance at the crowd forming, she slipped away….somewhere.

“Ooh, getting quite good at bargaining are we? Don’t worry, your goals align with mine. We both want something from the Masquerade. If you do as I say, you will get what you want, as will I.” She smiles, standing back up. “You see, I want my sister’s carcass. Or at least, intel on wherever the hell she is, dead or alive. To do that, we need to infiltrate the Masquerade, or rather, you and your one friend of choice need to infiltrate them. Once you’ve done so, it’ll also be easier to get information on your little friends. Lastly, once you tell me the information I require, I will tell you the last step to get your precious friends back. And whatever bonus information you just rattled off.”

She paces, her head swaying to a tune, before she continues “Now, the cogs in your clever little head are probably turning furiously right now. You wonder why I can’t do it myself? Well, the Masquerade has a law that prevents the seller from ever contacting their “sold goods”, for business sake. Can’t have someone retracting their goods and causing them to lose money, amirite? Well, who will you choose to go with you? I’m sure you’d want to go, so who’s the other lucky guy, or gal?”
