Title: PHIL + NaNo Day 15• I’m tired of the constant gateway timeouts. And I know it’s not on my end because everything else loads just fine. What the hell? • When it comes to shiny hunting on here, I’m aware I’m at a disadvantage (not being premium and all) but I’m not sure how much. All my pairs have terrible breeding rates because I’m trying to breed for events. Might just start with a low EXP mon and work my way up from there. Title: 400 Cr055-0u7-J3nn1f3r• Yoooo finally reached 35 and unlocked that last ?????????? LET’S GOOOO • Lmao I was so excited to unlock Paldea Research and after seeing the tasks for research points I just start cheesing it. I will gladly do 2K interactions instead of hatching Dragon eggs spawned from the Lab! • Found 6 Dragon Gems in a Gold Box. YEAAAH! Day 13 Word Count: 891 I’m terrible at writing mysteries. Terrible at solving them too. My brain is more than halfway off and I struggle to piece things together when it’s all in such disarray (especially on the first go) because I’m more interested in what happens rather than how or why. One thing leads to another which leads to another which leads to yet another, and before you know it you’re neck-deep with ten different paths to take and—cue analysis paralysis. On the one hand, my inability to solve anything makes it fun because you can throw a twist at me and I’m always going to look like :O On the other, when I do try to solve it, I never get it lol. Well, except for Rarity Investigates. I adore that episode. I love the film noir aesthetic, but damn am I too dumb to follow it lol. But I still love studying the mechanics of writing mysteries. I figure if I can crack the code I’ll crack the case. I’ve tried writing backwards, but no dice. Yet. That said, I don’t think I can sit through an Agatha Christie novel (I don’t remember which one I started, but I gave up quite quickly; I’m tempted to say it was And Then There Were None though). I’ve listened to the original Sherlock stories, watched the BBC series, fell in love with Miss. Sherlock (RIP to Yuko Takeuchi, oh my god ;w;), simpled for the Honorable Miss Phryne Fisher (God, do I wish I could read the books!), and adored Agatha Christie’s Marple (the first three series, anyway). Schoolgirl Detectives (or Seoman Girls High School Investigators) and Solomon’s Perjury are two of the three Korean shows I really ever got into. Not to mention Archie’s Weird Mysteries was my introduction to the Archie gang as a kid. Day 14 Word Count: 968 I feel like I’m overdoing the dialogue a lot in this work. And I’m also overthinking it. To make NaNo this year I thought I’d have to do just 2K per work and I’d have it made. But it’s been a struggle, even with my prewriting. [Read more] |

Title: PHIL + NaNo Day 12• Gems. Eternally looking for Dragon, Fairy, and Bug Gems. I don’t have access to Galar, so rumbling is out; I don’t have a good grasp on the Gem Exchange (coming from PFQ the rates are jarring, absolutely staggering) and I don’t even know where to begin; and scam artist Greg the Gleeper asking for Dragon Gems and Fairy Gems for the Kalos legends is just... none of this seems worth it to me. I still hate being forced to have a living dex, and I hate having to pay such steep prices for literally everything when they’re things that are already so hard to get. • Ditto. Why are you always so damn expensive? 10K Normal Gems, are you kidding me? And I have to bother someone else to borrow their blob to even get the damn egg from Greg the Gleeper in the first place? Gems are at least somewhat easier to come by thanks to rumbling, but dammit I hope you’re worth it. I pray breeding rates with you don’t suck. Don’t be like PFQ in that regard, please. All this for a tiny blob that looks like it’ll stick to the wall like one of those sticky hand toys. And forget the Lab Ditto, I’m not grabbing every single Normal egg that pops up in the vain hope it’ll turn out to be a Ditto, my luck is horrible. • All I can really do is send plushies. I send as many 10y Anni Meeps to as many people as I can. I mostly play slots in Legend mode, fishing is fine but unreliable, and Bulletin Board requests ask too much for far too little. • I just want a reliable (preferably quick) way to get these elusive gems whenever I want so when I eventually choose to take on these time-consuming, money-stealing, extremely expensive quests, I won’t feel like I wasted my time, effort, money, and items for some glorified pixels. There are definite benefits PFQ has over PH regarding the entire point of the site. I’m still gonna make that comparison list one of these days. After NaNo though, of course. • I want to do all I can myself without bothering anyone for help. The social anxiety is so real, my God, I hate it. Title: PHIL + NaNo Day 10• I sold something via the GTS last night... but then I went to bed and I don’t remember what it was lmao. • I wish there was a way to change the date appearance from Day/Month to Month/Day, even if it only affects the user who set it. I honestly can’t remember if I signed up for this site in May or September of 2016. When I see 9/5 I think September. It’s only when it gets to impossible numbers like 13/11 do I remember, oh, right, Day/Month exists. I think I signed up on May 9th then. • Looking this up, my entirely inactive girlfriend has more plushies than I do. Entirely because of me lmao. I gifted her all the plushies I could, and she would’ve gotten the badge for it ages ago! • I’m so close to getting a Level 50 berry and finishing the HS quest! Only took seven years, but. At least gardening isn’t that much of a pain in terms of a waiting game, kinda. The seed makers on the other hand... • Breeding, however, still a pain. I don’t know how I’m going to get/catch up on events otherwise. Ditto is always a pain to get in any Pokémon clicker game, it seems. Well, aside from PFQ giving you a Ditto voucher.
