 He groaned audibly. Him, paired with the weird purple-haired girl? This day couldn't get any worse. Stupid school. He stuck his hands in his pockets, muttering angrily to himself. Why couldn't he be in his own dorm? Idris was quite curious to what it would look like. Hopefully it wasn't full of sunshine and rainbows. He trudged up mahogany stairs and reached a corridor which branched off into smaller rooms. One of which, was labelled, Amanita Negra. Bingo. He popped his head in. The room was large, housing two large seats, bookshelves towards the back and a small fireplace. Plush, velvet cushions sat neatly on leather stools. The room was quite cosy, he admitted. It seemed nice enough to stay in. But his curiosity got the better of him, and he opened a gold doorknob to a door labelled Idris Kallikrates. Idris' eyebrows widened. It wasn't a particularly large room, but it seemed perfect. The room was dark in colour, grey walls adorned with small pictures of gothic themes. A large bed sat in the corner, rosewood with grey sheets. There was a small desk in the corner where a small stack of paper and equipment lay. Next to it was- his digital drawing tablet? "How-" Idris began. It was really tailored to him, huh. His eyes softened. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad. The bookshelves contained decent enough books. Even though he had read all of the books there at least three times over. Still, it wouldn't hurt to read Mary Shelley's: Frankenstein again. [Read more] |

In Cremini, Adrik Volkov and Jackie Ness. Webcaps will house Isla Greer and Aoi. And last but not least, Kaden Sorrows and Marina Von Kaimana-Reaper in Death Cap! For the next couple hours, you are free to do whatever you want! Explore the castle, come outside.....but one rule. Never. And I repeat, never are you allowed to go into the deep parts of the forest. When you see birch trees, turn around and walk away. This is our sacred rule and disobedience will result in immediate expulsion. You have been warned." She smiled. "Next....Kaden Sorrows?"    The boy sighed. Such childish activities of these were a waste of his time. But alas, he had to partake in this silly parade of powers. He faced the students, his face devoid of emotion, golden eyes searching for a victim. "Kaden Sorrows." He whispered. His voice was low and velvety. "I have the ability to influence one's emotions or feelings. I can make you feel happy-" He flexed his fingers, closing his eyes and inhaling deeply the cool summer air. A student suddenly burst into sobs, pearly tears running down their faces. "Or sad." He opened his eyes. The student stopped sobbing. Kaden smiled slightly. "I can also....influence feelings. I can make you feel tired, or even in love. I can also make you feel utter-" Kaden flexed his fingers and closed his eyes again. Khione peered at her list. "Idris....Kallikrates? Could you step up please?" Idris scowled. Stupid Khione Venti. He stood up, mumbling curses underneath his breath. He turned to face the students. "I'm Idris Kallikrates." Idris muttered. "You may call me-" He began, mocking Keiki. "None of those things, because I don't want to speak to any of you. Got it?" "As for power? Summoning the dead, blah blah blah, I'll raise your dead aunt from the grave and use her to torment you. Stuff like that." He went to sit down, flashing a scowl at an annoyed Khione Venti.  Keiki clapped their hands together, this was all so exciting! They loved each and every power, all so unique, just like the people. They all seemed so lovely as well, apart from the emo looking boy sitting a few feet away from Keiki. Keiki wrinkled their nose. Keiki stepped up and skipped to Miss Venti. They drummed large, red nails on their skirt nervously. "All your powers seem so wonderful and exciting!" Keiki grinned. "As for my ability...I have the power to glamour people, with my eyes! I'll demonstrate-" Keiki stared at a student sitting down, their eyes softening and seemed to change colours. Brown, blue, green, yellow. "I would like you to become a.....dog. You can do that for me, can't you, sweetie?" Keiki whispered softly. The student nodded slowly, mouth slightly open, pupils spinning, the size of golfballs. They moved slowly, limbs jerking into awkward positions, and they crouched on all fours on the floor. "Very well. Now....what does a dog do?" The student barked several times. Keiki stumbled, blinking quickly. The student regained their senses, staring at everyone in utter confusion. Keiki looked pale. "As you can see, my powers do drain a lot of stamina, haha. A tall, slender woman walked into the room. A sense of elegance seemed to emanate from her, and the temperature seemed to drop. Small snowflakes started to form and float gently from the ceiling. She had porcelain features, pale lips and a small nose, and soft blue eyes the colour of ice. The woman's voice was airy and cheerful, yet had a hint of sternness. She broke into a small smile. The lady paused. You may all nominate amongst yourselves who will start first. They may come up here and demonstrate. Thank you. He glanced angrily upwards. A purple haired girl stared at him. What was her problem? She was the one that ran into him, how do you even run into someone who was- eh, he didn't care. "Um-" He muttered back. Idris wasn't one for conversation. That sentence was enough to make the boy shudder. He ran a hand through thick, black curls dangling over his eyes. Idris squinted at the large building, a marvel of white brick and grey, tall spires with gold-capped tops glinting in the sunlight. It looked like hell. "Yeaahhhh, no. No chance." He scoffed. His parents more or less forced him to be here, and if this was going to be hell for him, then he'd make it hell for everyone else too. "Amazing? This hell-hole?" He muttered angrily. No chance of Idris 'thriving' with all the losers that attended here, probably by choice. What weirdos. He was dressed in a simple black hoodie and baggy jeans, silver rings studded with black gemstones wrapped themselves around slim, pale fingers. Black nail polish hid the bloody stumps of his nails. Idris's eyes were practically black, and full of anger, glaring at every student that passed him. His most unusual feature was a small, black teardrop tattoo below his right eye. Pushing past various students, ignoring protests and occasional pushes back, he made his way into the Main Hall, a high-ceilinged area, filled with wooden benches and seats, where the students were sitting. "I guess I'll just...sit here, then. How fun." Large, round, hazel eyes squinted at the practically shining castle. It was hard to believe that [i]this was the place she'd stay in for the next.....five minutes. Yup, that's how long she'd stay here. It wasn't as if Lin would actually stay the entire semester, no, no. That would be silly. In five minutes, she'd be gone. Running wild in the woods. Not in some cage disguised as a school. Yes, she'd make sure of that. Ignoring the stupid headmaster and her useless words, Lin bolted into the Main Hall, staring at her fellow students. In her head she was counting the time until she would make her move. 1 2 3- His fingertips twitched. Sunlight bounced of Kaden's curly, blonde hair. He felt anxious. New place, new people, that was always....a struggle to him. He wasn't the best at communication. He flexed his fingers. Kaden could feel all of the emotion. Happiness, anger...the list went on. It was strange, being able to properly feel other people's emotions. And to control it? Well, that was another story. Keiki squealed with excitement. New memories, new friends. More people to show of their fabulous nails too! It was perfect! Keiki danced from one high-heeled foot to another, clapping their hands merrily. They wondered what mystical and magical abilities everyone else had. Nothing that compared to their power, of course. Keiki's was the best! The best. That's what Keiki would be.
