Chris smiled his strange smile yet again.
He didn't address the skeptism, but it was obvious he was fazed.

"The Crystal Castle is the most beautiful, the most elegant, but also the most dangerous and fortified place is all of Lesandria!"

Chris paused for a moment, as if considering what to say.

"It is the home of the royal family of Lesandria! Most notably, the Crystal Princess! Surely you've heard of her! Her beauty, her magic, some even say she has wings!"

Was that a bead of sweat glistening on his brow?

"So! What do you say?! As I said before, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!"

A few obliged with the tour guide's halfhearted attempt at cheerfulness.

Athena found it quite hard to socialise. These people weren't the usual bunch of proud, snobbish aristocrats she was so very used to playing. Most of the people here were more rough, experienced "villagers", as her parents would have said with extreme disdain. They would very likely find her boring, and delicate, and a perfect laughing-stock. She also wouldn't be able to retort as heartily as she would want to and very much could. And, although she would never admit it to herself, she indeed was quite delicate on the matter of her ego.

In a more practical manner, many here had an eye for detail. They would be carefully watching her every move. While she was a practiced master in the art of deception, she wasn't sure her disguise could hold against some here. She could easily slip up just ever so slightly, showing a silver of her true personality. If the observer was smart enough, and the aforementioned some definitely were, they would quite easily link her to the mysterious Phoenix. And it would all be downhill from there.

So the young girl pondered, back straight, head high, dress perfectly smoothed. Like a statue of a goddess.

The room is lit only by large candles, sculpted into the shape of dragon heads.

The procession of tables and chairs and floor (a certain RPer has made the addition of the floor, and I find no reason to object) began to descend gradually towards a beautiful palace-like hotel. It finally came to a gentle halt in the garden of said hotel, brightly flowering vines wrapping around its base, giving off the illusion that this strange assortment of furniture had always stood in the garden, and always will stand in the garden.

We have reached our destination! This is the luxurious Grand Hotel which you will be your default habitation during your time here!

Chris Ronalds (you learned his name somewhere along the line), your excited tour guide, swept his arm in a long arc towards the hotel.

Athena's body was simply playing the part of a meek, educated noble girl.

But her mind multitasking on a level dizzying to most. She took in each conversation. Made note of everyone's opinions. So far, nothing particularly surprising. She was also furiously adjusting her schedule. This new "quest" was bound to set back deliveries and business by at least a couple months. And even a single second late was unacceptable. She'd already quite suddenly cut off today's exchanges, her customers wouldn't be happy at another setback.

Upon hearing the comments about possible death, Athena just shrugged them off. Not literally, of course. She didn't intend to die, but if she did, at least it would be better than choking to death some new silly dress.

So all in all?

This'll be fun.

Athena hadn't known whether to laugh or cry when she received the scroll. She'd always known they'd try to put her talents to use sooner or later. But her schedule was packed, and she didn't have time for the petty projects they decided to throw at her.

Ah, but she had a reputation to uphold, after all.

"Nice doing business with you!"

Scurrying up a couple trees to leap onto the tops of buildings, sprinting across them and sliding down a conveniently placed wall, she arrived at the gates to her estate, making sure to change her outfit before strolling in through the high front gates. Head high, back stiff straight, eyes fixed ahead. But somehow managing to move elegantly and gracefully.

Her family had prepared a luxury carriage for her, which she stepped into daintily, carefully arranging her dress. From now on, she was the talented, obedient, beautiful, delicate daughter of possibly the most influential and prestigious council members.
