Mare looked around the large room. She ran her hand over the bedspread. Tears fill her eyes. "So much like the lab." she murmurs. She does her exercise again. She walks to the window and slides open the door. The cool breeze brushes her hair from her shoulders. She steps out onto a railing. Surprisingly, Mare feels desperately lonely. Mare never had the benefit of a childhood. Her earliest memory is of her helping the doctor clean. She never had the opportunity for friends. "And now I'll die before every having a friend. Before ever being in a relationship, and before anyone ever cares about me." she whispers.

	Mare turned at the sound of someone hacking out there lungs. She bits her lip, unsure if she should go over or not. Mare stared down at her hands, which had started shaking again. Mare tries the previous exercise again, clenching and unclenching her fist. A sudden urge to approach someone strikes her. Mare shakily stands up, and moves over to where Rita is standing. "H.h.. hello." she says, her voice breaking. She tries to wave in a friendly manner, but it looks awkward and forced. "Oh god, please don't be frightened, please please please..." she thinks, referring to people's usual reaction to seeing what appears to be a ghost approach them.

Mare shook slightly as she listened the the commotion outside. Yelling, tears, frustration. Mare closed her eyes, and pictured the doctor. "Never let emotions get the better of you." was his constant "advice." Mare pictures her feelings, her anger, her bitterness. She imagines they are being compressed into a single droplet of water. She raises her hand and clenches it into a fist. She pictures herself crushing the feelings into a small icicle. She relaxes her fingers, picturing the icicle dropping into the "void." The doctor always taught her that emotions were the ruin of many. Mare's pale features look ghostly when she opens her eyes again. Her usual calm expression replaces the previous look of concentration and fear.

Mare says nothing, as she is embraced the the workers who work under the doctor. The worst really did happen. she thinks, remembering Lacy's final words to her. Mare's blood suddenly runs cold. "Did she know?" she wonders, but quickly brushes the painful thought to the back of her mind. Mare watches as other people get said goodbye too. Mare feels another stab of bitterness. Mare winces as she gets onto the train. For a split second she debates running. She could probably make it...but it was too risky. She had to face her death like an incoming train, and not turn around to dull her fear.

"Mare Eliv."

Everything froze. Mare, was frozen to the spot. Fear flickers across her usually calm gaze. No, no, no, no, this can't be happening. I was going to help the doctor today! I was going to- Her thoughts are cut off when peacekeepers attempt to grab her arm. Without even realizing it, she has gone Specter. One peacekeeper reached for her arm again, only this time his hand went right through her arm. People start looking over, to see what's taking so long. Lots of noise, some laughter, some disgust. Mare can feel her pale face tinting slightly red. She tried to ground herself, make herself... normal again. But it doesn't work. Feeling the tears start to well in her eyes, Mare just runs. She runs through people up to the stage. People marvel at how fast she goes. She sort of floats off the ground for a little while, before finally calming herself down enough to turn solid again. "Great." she thinks. "Now my embarrassment really is complete." Mare thought bitterly.

Mare attempted to wave to some people, but got startled and shocked looks every time she did. Mare sighs to herself. A bitter thought pierces her brain like a needle. "I wish I had friends." she murmurs quietly, attempting to escape the weird looks she was getting from people who weren't used to seeing her. Sadness scorches through her, but Mare shoves it away. She struggles to keep her face the fathomless mask it usually was, bits and pieces of unhappiness making brief appearances before being stamped out.

Mare shivered slightly as she slipped a dress over her head. Personally, she wasn't afraid of death. She was already half dead already, what difference did fully dead make? But she was afraid of losing the doctor, who was the only person Mare was sure she loved, and who she was sure loved her. Mare slipped on a pair of black sandal flats and left her bedroom, closing the door behind her. "Well?" she asks shyly. The doctor's head assistant, Lacy, turned around and smiled. "You look lovely dear." she says sweetly. These people were the closest thing to family Mare had. Lacy and Mare embrace. "If you do.. if you do get... picked Mare... we'll never forget you." she whispered in Mare's ear. Mare nodded, and left the building, heading towards the square.

Power: Shape Shifting. Kehena can change her appearance to mirror any person she has seen before. The only flaw with her ability, is there is always one detail that is left out. Shifting causes her entire body to become very sore.

What did your character do for a living before the MineGames (school, work, ect): Kehena is only a nickname. Very few people know her actual name. Kehena was a model, and a popular one at that.

Status: Alive (at least partly)
Power: Mare can turn herself into a "ghost" for limited amounts of time. She isn't technically dead, but isn't technically alive during this 'mode.' It takes a very specific kind of weapon to kill her while she's a Specter. The downside to being a Specter, is that she can't hold things or touch anything. As mentioned before, it takes a very specific kind of weapon to "dispel" a ghost. While this may seem very overpowered, there is one very big drawback. The longer Mare stays as a specter, the more of her life force she consumes. She is literally killing herself to be briefly invulnerable.

What did your character do for a living before the MineGames (school, work, ect): Worked in a research facility investigating the paranormal
Anything extra: Mare is very shy. She doesn't have very many friends, and her family is gone. She lives with a forensic detective.

Heidi tucked her legs a little closer to her chest. She stared out the window and at the walls. She hated being trapped in here. She really did, and would give anything to explore the beyond. But as she was told daily, that would never happen. Never in a million years, never ever. Heidi hated the word never. It was so restricting, so dejecting and so... ugh so just not Heidi. In her bedroom, she had drawn what she had thought the outside world looked like. The pictures were so vivid, so real looking, it made Heidi shiver. She knew that if it weren't for the possibility of pokemon roaming the world, she would take off, flee, escape. "Stop being delusional." Heidi said to herself with a snort. "You're never getting out of here." she mutters.

	Lacrimae follows the cryo user after Akane and Childe. She vaults over the heads of skirmishers and nearly falls down the mountain herself. The harbinger and Akane are gaining speed, and Lacrimae takes to leaping down portions of the downward slope. [Read more]

"She's going to pass out!" Akane says, gasping again. She takes one look at the electrical field surrounded the Harbinger and the dying purple shield. "Help her." she pleaded with Zephyr. She steels her nerves and leaps past the purple shield. She flinches slightly as the electrical field briefly shocks her. Akane half-tackles the Foul Legacy Transformed Harbinger, sending the two tumbling down the side of the Dragonspine mountain.
