to say that 300-500 kb would change alot is a bit ... strange, you know, because people are using sometimes oversized signatures here too. ^^ to fight against avatar-size would just solve a symptom, but not the whole problem. just because there's no mobile solution available at the moment, we shouldn't renounce a few quality-standards by regular usage. (and we should remember that riako is still working on an app for mobile usage, isn't he?) but independet by all this arguments there could be some easy solutions. :-) - caching processes // that would help mobile users, because they only have to load the content once. - different resolutions // at the moment we're using two resolutions on whole site. there's a minimizer implemented that lowers all avatars from 150x150 to 120x120px. the possibility is there to morph avatars also to a lower quality. - .mobile solution // if there's a .mobile solution, it would also be possible to hide ALL avatars and signatures. the pc-users wouldn't notice that, because there would be two different websites for different devices. it is riakos decision how to solve the problems you're talking about. but let me tell you that there are alot possibilities to do it. :-) That's why I think we just should tell each other if we want something(or not). ^^ In my opinion it's not a question of "How can we solve this???" it's a decision like "Well, this will take some time. I would like to change it, but it have to wait for now." <- waiting wouldn't be a problem, but we can talk about it right now, right? :P on the other hand of course animated files would benefit of it and also pictures without animation. Currently the most of us have to edit an existing avatar, because it isn't possible to upload - the allowed size is very small for graphics. it would be an reduce of work for all users that like to change their avatar. Of course the idea basically is kind-hearted and I do like this point of view. But we also have moderators that does a great job here. :-) Moderators does the job you're talking about. (excluding gifting pd I guess xD ... but I really don't wanna know how much pms they get everyday with quetions about ph..) They are the contact persons if a user needs help. They don't only judge, they help and explain and of course they sometimes post a wiki link. ;-) A new subforum would just be another help/suggestion forum in my opinion. We all can currently answer in this subforums to support the mods. If we want to help then we can do it without this suggestion. Another thing is.. those helpful actions, that you are talking about, are reality. But mostly they aren't public. I think there's a reason why problems and questions are discussed via pm and palpad. But what I would support is a public list in the forum that includes usernames of users who are "oldies" and known in the community for friendly and helpful behaviour. maybe for this persons should be voted by the community. :P erm.. and sorry when this maybe sounds rough... but in my opinion most people know about the wiki already. The link isn't well hidden on website. :P some are just too lazy to read it (same with the rules...) - it's easier to ask, because in this forum you'll most of the time get a quick answer. It maybe was moved because of that option in the fancy saloon: "Special body massage - Similar to body massage, a relaxing one that will make your Pokemon's special defense stat raise." + "Strong massage - A massage that will focus on raising a Pokemon's attack stat." getting a mega able pokemon is based on luck - but it is needed for completing the pokedex (not like shinies btw). where's the problem to provide a way that is propably much longer than for a lucky user, but successfull for the ones that have no luck? [Read more] |

I love the idea. When I think about a quest system I always remember the legendary-cape quest of wow. (yes, it have to be different for sure)^^ I think that's the kind of "time effort" a person should spend, to earn a mega-pokemon on this way. It shouldn't be too easy - so the 'Quest' have to be a enormous. But as I said before: I love the idea. edit: because not everyone here is playing wow, I'd like to explain how this could look like: - collecting 2 x 10 different hard-to-get items (randomly by interacting, forum posts, tall grass founds, etc) - winning 25 battles - 7 rumbles over 12h - collecting 250 gems of the pokemon's type - collecting rare gems (50-75 max) (to reinforce the upcoming special power maybe?) .... edit here more steps to make it more difficult ;) [Read more] |

At first.. I really searched for a thread that includes this topic as well, but all I found were uncountable different avatar-shops. So sorry, if this suggestion already exists. I'd like to suggest that the avatar file-size of 150Kb will be increased to 300-500kb. The point is, alot users are using gifs currently. Those gifs would looking much better, when the solution is as high as possible. (that would also be more userfriendly for those who had a poor eyesight) it's quite possible optimizing pictures to a low-level and display them here, but that is only possible with arts that includes just a few shadows, colours or effects. Just let me say that I don't talk about much glittering effects at this point. I talk about layers and colours. If you wanna display a special szene from your favourite tv-series for example you have to lower the quality to a minimum to show the whole scene (and we don't talk about a 30 sec. scene - it is alot less than that.) just one example that I picked randomly out of my current notifications: (no offense! I really love the gif. It's very pretty and well done, but I really need an example^^)  Dimensions: 150 × 113px File size: 149?KB this gif includes 25 layers. it was lowered to 32 colours and was also optimized to the web (in this point I just can guess.. to 20% ?) (that means that the quality was lowered.. do you see the small dots under his arm? thats what I am talking about) please remember at this point: we took a look on an anime-scene. a human scene of real people would look horrible, because of a more difficult shading. (and more action in the scene. if there is much trouble then the size will also be bigger.) so what do you think? is it a good idea to increase the avatar file-size ? (And I'm just talking about the file size, not the dimensions), or should we just don't use gifs? :> [Read more] |

Außerdem wäre es gut, wenn du auch andere Komponenten mal auf ihren Zustand checken würdest. Gerade bei einem Kurzschluss können einige Teile einen weg kriegen. :/ Gerade bei Ferndiagnosen ist es da schwierig zu erkennen, ob das Problem vielleicht auch noch anderswo liegt. [Read more] |

@Nerymon Ja, ich war gerade im Begriff meinen Post zu editieren. (Stichwort: Klick xD) In dem Fall wäre wohl die komplette Platte hin gewesen und zu der Geräuschkulisse hätte es auch nicht gepasst (keine beweglichen kleinteile) Hmm. Hast du die Festplatte mal untersucht und konntest verschmorte Areale entdecken? (speziell auf der Platine oder dem Anschluss?) [Read more] |

@Kurumi, nicht unbedingt.. ^^' ein sony vayo modell meines ex freundes hat lediglich damit reagiert, dass sich der lüfter verformt hat .... dadurch schabte er an den außenseiten und ist dann nach weiternutzung ~20min. später erst ausgegangen. (vorher gab es eben die bereits geschilderten symptome... freeze / ab und an ein bluescreen) [Read more] |

klingt aber recht merkwürdig, gerade dass es nach dem neu aufsetzen wieder nicht funktioniert.. macht der laptop denn irgendwelche geräusche wenn die fehler auftreten? ggf. mal deathnekos rat beherzigen und mal aufmachen und vorsichtig säubern. was vielleicht auch interessant wäre, wäre zu wissen wie du den laptop nutzt. ^^ das klingt zwar doof, aber es gibt ja doch recht viele leute die gern mal auf nem flauschigen teppich damit herumliegen und somit das gerät heißläuft weil vielleicht lüftungsschlitze verschlossen werden (o.Ä.) und weshalb das "hier" so ist, kann ich auch nur spekulieren(loops?)... vereinzelt ist mir aber auch schon aufgefallen das ph teilweise recht ressourcenintensiv sein muss... (jedenfalls für meinen oldie) was für ein modell nutzt du denn? dann ließe sich die festplatte auch ersetzen statt direkt einen neuen laptop zu holen. [Read more] |

I've read alot of feeds about that problem a few days ago - and that's why I think there should be a solution for everyone to play the game successfull. mega stones are needed and as far as I know, the cauldron is currently the only way to get one of the expensive stones. but maybe there are much more solution-ideas, than expand the needed time by dropping a gem. how about everyone has the choice? could look like this: it could be a special item in the shop that we have to buy (like the egg radar) ...and maybe the chance (to get a mega stone) could scale with the seconds.. but I think it shouldn't get less than how it's currently :'D [Read more] |
