(Hope its alright if I pop in like this!)

Najima had been following the group at a safe distance. She had been getting a bad feeling about going through the forest, and when she heard the fighting she realized she was right. She quickly sped up, barreling forward before slowing down, observing the fight, Shamsi circling far above at a safe distance. With a soft growl, here eyes flashed and large portals opened up behind the man, large boulders falling out of them and nearly smashing into him multiple times. Najima continued to circle the clearing silently, waiting for a chance to strike. She would have to use her powers sparingly though, that had taken a lot of energy out of her already.

	Najima had wandered outside, her familiar leaving her head and flying around in the air above her as she casually strolled around, exploring and mapping out the school. Soon enough she saw a thick forest in the distance and made her way towards it curiously, Shamsi following close behind. [Read more]

"Thank you mam! I'll be sure to remember that." Najima said, a grin appearing on her face as the phoenix perched on her head with a happy croon. She exited the classroom, quickly hunting down her dorm and entering it. She summoned a portal and brought out her bags and placed them on one of the beds that was in the room, making a mental note to ask Jesse witch one he wanted. Exiting sorting her things quickly, she exited the room, she wandered the halls and searching for Clove.

Najima sighed, relief washing over her as the teacher addressed the rest of the class. She placed her binder and pencil case on the desk, glad the attention was off her. There was a part of her subconsciously relaxing and reassuring Shamsi, the phoenix getting a bit anxious due to all the people in the room, and she calmed him by showing him some of her memories and allowing him to observe the room around him, 'leaning' on her mind slightly for comfort, which she allowed. She peered down at the papers on her desk, silently reading them while listening to the teacher talk.

"Clove, please." Najima protested. "It's alright. If anything this may help me train with Shamsi. After this I'll have to see if I can find ways to train more, but for now I consider this training. I also don't want anyone to get hurt, and I did just summon him- sorry buddy." She said, that last part aimed towards the phoenix in the cage who let out a soft chirp, understanding the situation now. Doesn't mean he has to like it though.

With a sigh, Najima lifted Shamsi and gently placed him in the cage, stroking his head and speaking to him softly as he squawked in protest. "I know you don't like it but its just for one period. Just behave and don't disturb the class." She murmured before closing the cage and nodding to the teacher. "Alright. This is understandable now that you explained that to me. For a moment there I was really confused."

Turning to Clove, Najima spoke up "Don't worry about it too much. After all she is the teacher and I did just summon him. She has valid concerns."

"What? No!" Najima yelped, holding the bird closer to her, the phoenix squawking in protest. "I'm not putting him in there like some sort of pet or mindless animal!" She protested before pausing in thought, speaking up again a few moments later. "How about I just let him fly around outside of the school? I am connected to him so I can keep him out of trouble if I feel like he is going to do something bad or if something bad is going to happen to him."

"This 'it' is a he." Najima corrected, but not unkindly. "And his name is Shamsi! He's my familiar. I summoned him once everyone left." She said, the bird on her head peering curiously around the room before focusing on Clove, chirping at the girl curiously. "Honestly I din't know what I was doing. It just kinda... happened. It might be because my power focuses on opening a door from one place to another, so I might have been able to reach him easier."

As the bell rang Najima gently picked up the phoenix familiar- her familiar - and gently held the large bird as she walked through the halls to her next class, talking softly to it. "So big guy, I guess you'll need a name huh?" She asked him, her familiar crooning softly in return. "Hmm, how about Shamsi? It means solar." She asked, gaining a happy chirp in response to the name.

Most where surprised to see the girl enter the science classroom with a grin on her face, her cosmic familiar perched on her head as she sat down at the back of the class. Shamsi shifted as she sat down, chirping contently as she stopped moving.

Najima sighed. Closing her eyes and reaching out with her powers, she wove an invisible bridge between her and her familiar. From beneath closed eyelids she could faintly see a flash of light. Slowly opening her eyes she saw a large dark bird with beautiful and bright feathers that resembled the sun. Cracks ran along its body, glowing with suppressed power as glowing eyes stared back at her. She had just summoned a phoenix.
