Heidi groaned. The common room was so boring. Normally she would just use Aurora's magical room to watch her seriel killer documentaries but the room had locked itself since Aurora's injury. Heidi skips through the playlist on her I-pod before selecting a song. At first humming it, she ends up just quietly singing it to herself. After an hour or so of doing this, Heidi loses interest in the music. She locks it back in her trunk and decides to "explore" the castle. At this point, more then one person knows Aurora's in critical condition and not present at Hogwarts. Personally, Heidi had no true opinion on the matter. Emphathy just... wasn't her strong suit. "Then again, that could be the frontal lobe injury..."she thinks with a stale laugh. Heidi is well aware of her lack of empathy. "You know what, the library sounds interesting. Maybe they have something interesting on crime." she decides. To her supreme disappointment, the library has zero true crime books. "Ughh." she says, slamming her head on a table. "SHHH!" someone whisper yells at her. Heidi scowls.

Mare opened the bag she had gotten from the cornucopia. In it, was a very long coil of rope, matches, some dried fruit, a small thing of water and some iodine. Mare sighs. She lights a match and begins to head a bit deeper into the cave, where she finds some wet wood. "Interesting..." she says, feeling the damp wood with her hand. She gathers some damp wood and heads back to where she left her bag. An idea strikes her when she looks at the seaweed and the coil of rope. An idea for a trap...

"If I may, is there a reason this mimic was in the forest at this time then? I'd bet almost anything that that wasn't the only one, and if these creatures are as you say they are, then they aren't normally found in these forests." Clemensia comments, her voice sharp and critical. But her eyes betray her worry and fear. "Which would mean that they either moved here on there own accord recently, or were moved here." she adds.

Clemensia bits her lip again. She passes a couple of people who appear to be adults. They look worried and murmur something about a "mimic" and "disaster." Clemensia narrows her eyes. She begins to pick up the pace, now curious about what has happened. One false step and her leg gives way under her. Silently cursing, Clemensia uses the hilt of her rapier blade to force herself back up to her feet.

Mare quickly makes her way to the edge of the island. She walks along the beach until she notices a dark shape within the water. Curiosity gets the best of her and she dives in. Mare nearly gasps, when she realizes she's found an underwater cave below the surface. She does a breath stroke down to the cave. It's spacious, and seems to be made mostly of rock. "I wonder if there's a volcano somewhere on the island." she says aloud. She decides that she'll stay in the underwater cavern, mostly because it looks cozy, isn't to warm, and is rather difficult to get to. She wonders where Yurei is, and feels a pang of sadness. They were supposed to do this together. But now they're apart. And for all Mare knows, Yurei could be dead. Well, "dead" being a reasonably relative term.

Mare dived. As soon as the cold water hit her skin, she changed. Reaching the cornucopia in record speed, Mare ran towards the armored bracers. As soon as she touched them, she heard the mechanical whirling. Mare slid her hands into them and clenched her fist. Yurei was no where to be seen. Mare decides to grab supplies. She grabs a backpack only to look down and realize someone just attacked her from behind. She whips around and (some random NPC tribute) stands behind her, panting. They have a sword in there hand. "COWARD!" she shrieks, launching herself at them. One swift blow with the gauntlets and they went down. "You killed him!" another NPC tribute, presumably the first's partner, screams, her voice shrill. Mare takes a deep breath. "I'm sorry for what I'm about to do." she says, before closing her eyes. She hits a blow to the second's head and they crumple to the ground like the first. Mare turns and runs before she has to kill anyone else.

"Are those... armored bracers?" Mare wondered, narrowing her eyes in an attempt to identify what looks like a pair of gloves lying by the cornucopia. She squints, attempting to make out the shape, but sighing. Judging by the distance, she was sure she could make it to the cornucopia in a minute tops. Well, as long as she went specter under water. But it was harder in the water... Mare looks around, searching for Yurei. Yurei waves and signs something. "Armored bracers!" Mare nods, to show she understands.

Mare stared at her stylist. After getting into the required outfit, she was sitting quietly on the floor. "You'll understand this in due time." her stylist said, placing an odd looking circular thing into her palm. It had grooves along the edges and was small enough for her to slip into her glove. "Th-thank you." she says hesitantly, unsure of what this was supposed to be. "Why?" she asks quietly. Her stylist gives her a hard look. "If you're too make it out alive..." he began hesitantly. "which I do hope you do, as I've taken a liking to you, you'll understand the key to escaping your own head is to find a way out." Mare wrinkles her nose. "What does that mean?"[i] she wonders. "Of course the way to escape something is to find the way out, what is that supposed to mean...?"[/i] she closes her eyes for a moment before standing up. "Thank you." she says, more sure of herself. She slips the thing inside her glove, wincing as it pinches her skin.

Holly silently watched as Heidi immediately curled up and fell asleep. She quietly stands up and leaves the infirmary, heading outside to the Hogwarts grounds. She walks down to a tree by the lake and sits down. Holly sighs, staring up at the moon. She really didn't know what to think. On one hand, Aurora just lost her sister and only family, but on the other hand... well Holly didn't even know.

Back in the infirmary

Aurora's mind was on fire. The feedback she had gotten from burning that man alive was too much for her already shattering mind to bear. The nurse kept looking over at her, worried. Her skin was like molten metal, so hot it burned whoever touched it. She had a massive fever and couldn't feel her legs. The girl who had come in said it was all from shock, but Aurora didn't know whether or not she should believe her.

"What do you think I was doing the year I missed school?" she says stiffly. Holly grabs Heidi's wrist again and grabs Suvansh's wrist. "I wasn't lounging around. I was busy." she adds. The appearance charm on her wavers for a second and the scars are visible for a moment. Holly looks back at the school. Her mind is in two places.

Holly snorts. "I'm not a child Suvansh. I'm the same age you are." she says stiffly. Heidi laughed a bit. She elbows Suvansh. "Someone's offended." she teases. "Come on Heidi." she says, grabbing Heidi's wrist and dragging her out of the castle. "Hey, no touching!" Heidi complains, wrenching her hand out of Holly's grasp.

The beast growled in challenge. "Challenge eh? I love a challenge." she says. She swings her sword upward, connecting with the beasts stomach. The beast whimpers and disappears. "Grrr, I hate those things." she muttered angrily before composing herself. Clemensia begins to make her way out of the woods, satisfied with her hunt. She heads back towards the direction of the shrine.

Holly nodded. "Oh and Cecelia. This is Heidi the one I told you about." she says casually. Cecelia eyes Heidi with curiousity. "You're the psychopth? The one des-" Holly puts her hand over Cecelia's mouth, effectively cutting off her words. "Hmm Yes." Heidi says after a moment. "Alright bye." Holly says rather abruptly, as she gives Cecelia a hug and drags Suvansh and Heidi out of the room.

Heidi snorts as if offended. "I can find anyone." she says. She finally stops at a door. She knocks and enters the room. Inside Holly sits on a bed, and a girl who looks almost exactly like her sits next to her. "Your eye is getting worse." the girl comments. "I know that. Cecelia, you don't think I haven't noticed?" Holly responds, sounding pained. "Oh Heidi. Suvansh." she says, noticing the two.

"Alright." Holly says, nodding. She turns into a panther and bounds into the shadows. Heidi doesn't say anything for a moment. "Come on. I can take you to the infirmary." she says finally, leading Suvansh towards the castle. She has her wand clenched tightly in one hand. "Lumos." she whispered, illuminating the path towards the castle.

Aurora doesn't respond. After a few minutes it's clear she's blacked out. She slumps against the wall and her breathing slows. Her hair hangs loosely on her shoulders. The blonde hair is stained red with the blood from a cut on her shoulder. Aurora looks almost peaceful.
